  1. All games in the Brewers-Dodgers series are being played at Dodger Stadium. Yes, brain fart on my part. It was early in the morning. I saw Arlington in the graphic.
  2. As my significant other would say...should have gone to a physical therapist. P.T.'s tend to hate chiropractors. I've used both and believe in both.
  3. They led 26-10 going into the 4th quarter. Right now, Dan Quinn should be about as nervous as the 55 year old guy in your office who refuses to learn PowerPoint or use an Outlook calendar. I can see Outlook calendar but PowerPoint needs to die in a fire and then be revived and thrown back into the fire and then revived again and then thrown into a volcano and then 10 nuclear bombs dropped on it just to make sure it is finally dead. I'm that 54 year old guy. Actually, I like PowerPoint. When I was at Cummins, they used it all the time worldwide. I still have Access on my home PC.
  4. And Nelson was particularly sure handed and very good at fielding onside kicks. All Bostic had to do was put a body on his guy and that game's over. IIRC, too much time was left. If they would have done three running plays into the line, they have to punt it back.
  5. Has a game been played yet in Arlington's stadium? Too bad the Brewers couldn't make history by playing its first game. Instead, it goes to the Cardinals.
  6. Is a taxi squad going to LA?
  7. Would this comment be taken as throwing some of the current players under the bus?
  8. Seems like Gyorko making a lot of nice picks at 1B this season.
  9. Is St. Louis actually making an effort to rotate the cutouts after each game? I'm seeing different faces than on Friday.
  10. Interesting. Online calculators put one hour of walking at 325 calories and biking at 750 cal per hour. Running is about 125 cal per mile. I've lost 10 pounds in 12 weeks. I don't fast. A slow go, but working on it. Running will replace fat with muscle mass. However, ten years ago I increased my mileage and lost quite bit, but also resulting in Achilles issues that put me on the shelf for a year.
  11. I've finally had time to sit down and watch some baseball, starting with Saturday and last night. I'll follow the final fourteen games and hope for the best, but I've been frustrated and not entertained.

  14. I very much can see the NFL in 10, 20 years from now having stuff like this as the norm. Football is the most "risk adverse" of the sports as of now. It's my understanding real time metrics is being woven into in-game strategies to get away from this.
  15. Just imagine how wretched it would have been with 20,000 Cubs fans in the building.
  16. https://madison.com/wsj/sports/high-school/prep-sports-beaver-dam-maybe-others-in-dodge-county-forced-to-halt-some-fall-sports/article_c607e73f-29a3-50c8-a320-449091b1e87b.html Also, I saw a footnote in a results section that apparently Waukesha County schools cannot compete against schools from outside the county.
  17. One other person as well, but don't remember her name.
  18. This! Back in the day I worked on the south side of Milwaukee for several years and words like this flowed freely. Today's "cancel culture" can make me cringe at times, but cases similar to this I'm glad people are starting to be held accountable.
  19. The English Premiere League completed its season yesterday, 50 weeks after it began. Since Project Restart began 17 June, a total of *three* positive tests. Any further discussion most likely belongs in the Political Forum. https://www.premierleague.com/news/1670563
  20. My thoughts as well. I was envisioning the various coaching associations running their own version of state meets. Reminds me back when I did the 2007 Boston Marathon. As a 'noreaster was wrecking havoc on New England, the race committee behind the scenes was thinking of canceling (not revealed to the public until a year later) due to standing water and possible down power lines, but went ahead due to "everyone would have shown up and run anyways".
  21. Except there are only so many wins to go around between the Brewers, Cubs, Cardinals, and Reds. If two of those teams finish well above .500, it will be tough for either wildcard to come from the Central. Beat up on the AL Central.
  22. https://madison.com/wsj/sports/high-school/wiaa-will-hold-fall-sports-season-delays-most-starting-dates/article_beff9656-f105-5fe3-b150-5b347b967b90.html#tracking-source=home-top-story-1 Not sure if it belongs here or the Off Topic COVID thread. This certainly is major news. I'm still undecided if it's best to re-open schools at the beginning of the term, but that's another discussion. The Big Eight Conference will not have in-conference competitions this fall.
  23. No. And a couple of months ago I gave my stash to my wife to use at work.
  24. Insurance concerns.
  25. Per one late-night comedian, "The Washington Twelve-Digit Tracking Numbers".
