  1. Nice line for Hill today 1.1 IP 1 H 3 R 2 ER 6BB 1 K Keep letting him work threw it Lou:)
  2. The Cubs seem to think its pretty minor. So he will try & pitch threw it:) In the long-term these tend to not affect a pitcher much. But if your not carefull they can cause a 2 month stint on the DL. Beckett & Al Lieter where constantly on the DL in florida with reoccuring blisters.
  3. Appears he has developed a blister, but he was pretty ineffective before it manifested. That moves Marquis or Lieber up to #3 starter. Can the Cubs really afford to trade young pitchers away for Brian Roberts?
  4. Janssen's a set-up man. Toronto's starting 5 is pretty set. Holliday, McGowan, Macrum, Litsch, Burnett
  5. Capuano needs to show something in his next couple games. This might be Capuano's last stand week as a brewer.
  6. luke, I can't see Vargas being a brewer past March. He doesn't fit unless the crew have a huge rash of injuries. I'd put Bush in the pen & use him for junk inngs or spot starts strictly.
  7. Easy way to keep that depth would be to have a rotation of Sheets, Yo, Parra or Villy, Suppan, Capuano with Villy or Parra in AAA & Bush in the pen
  8. Lets hope this is Bush's audition for middle relieve
  9. Thats a guess by rotoworld. Their line of thinking is the crew would want to protect a young kids arm from burn out.
  10. Agree with rotoworld. It will be nice to reduce the workload on his arm for the season. Gives Parra a better chance to show if he's a major league quality pitcher. One other thing to remember is during the first month the Crew will not need a 5th starter much. Does make trading Vargas & Cappy harder thou.
  11. Ok maybe I'm being a homer Blanton is moderately better than Dave Bush. Blanton's ERA numbers are mainly a product of pitching in Oakland. If the Reds added him it might net them a couple wins. If they give up even Votto it hurts them currently & especially in the future.
  12. Don't give up top 100 talent for an inng eater. Blanton is a slightly better pitcher than Dave Bush talent wise. Of course this is the same GM who traded Kearns & Lopez for some middle relievers.
  13. Capuano, Tony Gwynn Jr, Turnbow & prospect Gamel for Blalock & Littleton
  14. Would trading for one or both of these guys help or hurt the bullpen? Having to send guys down or not any better than bringing up McClung.
  15. Keep him in the rotation & move Yo to the late inng bullpen. Try to acquie a Steve Kline & move T-bow.
  16. Mench, Hendrickson for McGowan, Frasor, & Reed Johnson
  17. Why would the Rocks want more corner outfielders? They have Hawpe, Holliday, & Baker.
  18. Claudino Vargas has great stuff hopefully Maddux can help his control. I really don't see the downside to this deal unless Eveland pans out.
  19. Have to wait for the MRI & then how it responds in the next week or so.
  20. Worst case scenario he's done for the year & gets all of the off-season to heal. Not great, but certainly better than I felt when he went down
