  1. Reds will ing to eat nearly 10 Million for a decent return on Harang. According to Yahoo reporter http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=jp-pitchingmarket122109&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
  2. Whats the best guess on Duch's floor 4-5 Million?
  3. The approach used signials he isn't healthy.
  4. According to ESPN Duch has 3 offers & plans to decide within a week. Hope the crew is one of those offers.
  5. I wouldn't trade Hart straight-up for McCarthy(injury history), but it would clear some payroll.
  6. McCarthy is probably want Tex will offer. Hopefully we could package a prospect with Hart & add two arms Nippert & McCarthy
  7. Cincy could gain more payroll flexibility & prospects , Dodgers could add the back of the rotation pitcher they want. Brewer get a decent upgrade over Suppan & dump some of his contract. Milwaukee would probably have to give up at least 6 Million to get it done. 3.5 now & 2.5 for the buyout at yr end.
  8. Would he be a decent trade target or is he mostly a AAAA guy?
  9. Go after Coco Crisp, Winn, or Nady to fill Hart's spot
  10. colby, I bet Boston targets Adrian Gonzalez first in a trade & has Beltre as the fallback.
  11. Some combo of Salome, Gamel, Parra, Lawrie, would interest Toronto
  12. According to Jon Heyman. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/12/roy-halladay-rumors-monday-1.html Phils close to landing Halladay, but can't get Lee to lower his demands on an extention. Possible 3-way trade happening? Confused I am
  13. I'm not concerned about replacing Hart there are a ton of OF on the market. Randy Winn & CoCo Crisp come to mind. I bet that Hart for Maine deal is ago once New York adds there FA SP(s).
  14. Seems risky gotta wonder how bad Maine's health problems are. LINK
  15. Jason Hammel would be interesting
  16. Wolf has always had talent not a nibbler by any means. When he has been healthy he has been pretty good. Hopefully he'll be like Al Lieter & not Jeff Suppan. Now if they can land a decent high reward guy Smoltz/Bedard/Duchscherer
  17. He'd be a step up from signing a Doug Davis or Washburn
  18. Signing Wolf & then another of the high risk/high reward guys would be a good strategy
  19. according to Jon Heyman Tigers wanted Sean Kelley & Brandon Morrow from Seattle for Edwin Jackson. Obviously Jack Z said no thanks.
  20. Boston or another big market team will gobble up al the high-risk/ high-reward guys. Brewers are gonna need to get SP threw a trade or overpay for another former cardinal.
  21. At this point Villenova looks to be the best rotation canditate
  22. I'm sure Doug is trying to add Doug Davis or Jared Washburn as we type.
  23. I think a game can be declared official if 5 inngs have been completed & play has been stopped. But you can't play 3 or 4 inngs stop play & resume play to try & get 5 inngs in the book. Some special rule that you got to play at least 6inngs if such a scenario occurs
  24. Bedard is extremely fragile. That should certainly downgrade his value some.
  25. So whose the best internal canditate to take Parra's spot? Dillard, or Cody
