  1. They are selling it there now. I had it down in San Diego and it was pretty decent. Don't know if I'd buy it but i'd probably choose it over a lot of things at a picnic or something
  2. I dont know what Kobe is actually looking for. Bynum is turning into an all star center and Lamar Odom is the perfect compliment to him. If they can manage a point guard who is not named Smoosh, they could already be a contender
  3. im in a few leagues right now, i love it
  4. He's making a comeback and throwing in the low to mid 90's and isnt feeling any pain at this point. As a contender now, are we in a position to take a chance on a guy like him to be a 7th or 8th inning type guy? Id personally push hard for him to split some of the work load and as insurance if Turnbow has a relapse into last year's form
  5. i doubt the dodgers are going to break up the best 8-9 inning combo in the league while they are in first place regardless of what you trade them
  6. This is bar none the worst thing that could have happened for the NBA in this draft. Two potential superstars pushed to the 9:15 starts of the pacific northwest?
  7. If we did draft Greg Oden and we could get another lottery pick for Bogut, I wouldnt question Harris if he did pull the trigger on such a deal. Oden is a center, he's not playing the 4. Bogut at the 4 was a disaster as he has no outside shot to extend the defense and was overmatched as a defender against the 4s. It is hard to hide a 7 foot defensive liability. On a team of bad defenders, funneling guys into a shot blocker is the only way to compensate for this. Redd and Mo playing garbage defense with Bogut in there trying to draw charges is a good way to lose a ton of games
  8. i dont see the advantage of Aquino being a major leaguer right now
  9. I guess im probably one of about 11 people excited about that show
  10. he'll almost have to be really put in his place by Michael and take a step down to being just another face in the crowd. Probably just to throw a fit everytime a prank is pulled on him
  11. on espn insider, we were ranked 9th with Yo being the only one mentioned. They said he was on par with Hughes and Bailey
  12. Idiocracy wasnt going to win any awards but i have rented much worse. The biggest knock was probably that the best part of the movie was the introduction and it fizzled a little from there
  13. You complete me................. amazing
  14. If they took half his salary, on today's market Pavano at 5 million is a steal if he starts 25 games I think they would give him up for a song too
  15. If we could find a taker for Turnbow, I'd definitely give him a one year deal for about the same amount. Healthy, this guy has been as dominant as you can get. We may have to hire Bonds' trainer to get Gagne back up to his peak though.............
  16. I just hope he has the chance to come to Miller Park and spit into the stands like Irabu did
  17. I dont know why people think Jason Schmidt would come here for whatever his market value is. There are going to be better teams that arent Milwaukee shooting for this guy. A guy like hudson is our best chance of getting a guy who was a cy young contender every year before he went to Atlanta If its going to take a few of our younger type guys to get him, I dont even mind the contract. Any pitcher at AAA last year would be just fine
  18. I understood what he was saying, but if you don't want the brewers to sign him say so. Don't put some ridiculous figure out there that has no chance to get him unless he loses a limb in the off season
  19. "I wouldn't go into 8 figures with him per year." I guess he would have to take a pay cut a year after hitting 46 homers to come play in Milwaukee...........
  20. i think the near 50-50 season he just put up is enough to warrent a whole lot more than the 12 million that people are talking about anyone who thinks he is getting less than 15 million a year is not living in the real world
  21. Turnbow in to blow it........ If he walks the leadoff guy, Nost should be running in there to yank him
  22. why isnt this thread in the statistical analysis forum? statheads dont want to hear old schoolers opinions on it anyways, so why not place it where it belongs?
  23. I dont like the argument that playing in a time where there werent other great third baseman should help Santo. He's been a no for years and he should stay that way
  24. the greatest sentence you could hope for with 2 down in the 9th..... now batting, Royce Clayton
