  1. Well, yes. Usually I take baths in the local fountains. http://www.engr.wisc.edu/cmsimages/2009maquinafountain.jpg
  2. Honestly, I did the same thing 3 years ago, only I went and bought a $30 set of Wahl clippers. Now it's 10 minutes before I shower once every couple weeks. Quick, easy, painless.
  3. The anger and bitterness here has given me no desire to post any longer. I read, from time to time, and I'll chime in, on rare occasion, but the fact that debate and discussion and logic has all but ceased to exist makes bf.net a shell of what it was, even two years ago.
  4. http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100301095115/24/images/c/c4/8x09_Cole_Threatens.jpg "Hi, your super amazing background checks couldn't prevent me from becoming the 47th mole in CTU history, but my crackhead boyfriend found me in 7 minutes."
  5. Welcome aboard, Sean. Hopefully some of those who were around (and making memories) in 82 can discuss things further, but, I was only 3 years old in 82, and don't remember anything at all. I do know that for a long, long time, I had a toybox which had a treasured bumper sticker on it, that said simply, "Andujar is a hot dog" http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1368&dat=19821021&id=s3pQAAAAIBAJ&sjid=JRIEAAAAIBAJ&pg=5320,4387247
  6. I'd much rather have Gonzalez going forward than YuniB. At least Gonzalez can play defense.
  7. Larry Drew is responsible for allowing Josh Smith to consistently jack up 16 foot jump shots. His offensive philosphy allowed this: http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2013/0129/grantland_kg_worst_576.jpg He is absolutely the last guy I want coaching the Bucks. I want Sampson. Again, none of this matters with the incompetence above the head coach, including our inept GM who's win-now moves over the last 5 years have been nothing but laughable.

  9. Rickie Weeks last 16 games: .220/.360/.381... for a .741 OPS. Stop looking at his season batting average, and realize he hasn't been bad for the last 3 weeks, basically.
  10. They aren't black, in the African-American sense. Segura and Figaro are Dominican and Betancourt is Cuban.... now, Khris Davis on the other hand....
  11. That's true, but I'd argue the Brewers' track record in this is far worse than the draft even. Outside of Higuera, who is the last above average player they have picked up this way and developed? Maybe I'm missing someone, but I'm thinking Sixto Lezcano. Escobar.
  12. He also likes to throw fits on Twitter. The Immortal Gregg Zaun also gave him some advice, basically saying: "If you don't like what people say on twitter, don't be on twitter", and he responded with some kind words: Oh, and when questioned about his first tweet (which he deleted) he came back with this gem: So, for those scoring at home: You can say what you want, Freedom of speech. But you can't if it's saying it to Brett Lawrie, shut ur mouths.
  13. I was knocking back a couple of brews with my Brewer savant friend tonight, and this discussion came up. He quickly pointed out that I was wrong, and that the Brewers have in fact drafted one twenty game winner. In the realm of Brewer trivia, this would be a great & difficult question... any guesses for bragging rights? Did he win 20 games for the Brewers or someone else? Drafted but never signed. I do believe..... and won 20 for the team we're complaining about not being like.
  14. Coming into today, Weeks and Lucroy have identical .274 wOBA's. How come no one ever complains about Lucroy?
  15. Considering they've only had three 20 game winners in 40+ years as a franchise, it says as much to their futility as a franchise as it does their inability to develop pitching. One of which they did sign from Mexico (Teddy).
  16. Can we avoid this "What if" draft? We just had an entire thread about it, like two weeks ago. Every single team is like that, every single team has what if's and bad draft picks every season. What bothers me about the Brewers is that they can't even seem to develop bullpen guys reliably so they are forced to spend money on mediocre bullpen guys. Their pitching development in the Minors must be simply atrocious, otherwise they'd have found at least one or two guys before this year.
  17. Grill out. On the front porch. Every day. See if they complain then.
  18. If Kohl sells before an arena is built, the team is gone. Period. Maybe the Seattle threat will make the city get it's act together and get an arena built (maybe, they use a more creative solution, like: Hey, since we paid for 50% of this arena, .5 % of all ticket sales will go back to the city until the 'loan' is paid off)
  19. The stats that impress me the most: O-Swing% Z-Swing% Swing% O-Contact% Z-Contact% Contact% 33.3 % 72.1 % 51.0 % 59.1 % 89.1 % 78.4 % Career low swinging Outside the zone. Career high Zone Contact %.
  20. 1 PA in the last 10 days doesn't cut it for the guy who should be the #1 RHB off the bench.
  21. Fox Sports Brewers Commercial Dance Squad.
  22. I haven't seen the highlights, but it depends on the play they have on. With Weeks covering 1B and the corners crashing it is usually either the 3B or P job to cover 3B, whomever doesn't make the play on the ball.
  23. I have to assume those who think that a .300 OBP is unacceptable still are complaining. i think the deal is fine but I totally get where the complaints come from. It isn't a fist pump deal by any means. I won't complain if he keeps slugging .470... that's my biggest worry, is that he goes back to slugging .380.
  24. It's good to see his new found patience has led to more walks and pushed that OBP up into the .350 range that he wanted before the season started.
