  1. Reminds me of that team from Mr 3000. One great power hitter and a bunch of really crappy guys Bernie Mac was a power hitter?
  2. I just drove back and forth to Denver from Northeast Wisconsin with no accidents. On the road or otherwise. Intake your liquids according to your surroundings. I'd rather wait than use a port-a-potty. I don't think kidneys can explode like Grandpa Simpson's, but then again, I'm no doctor. Thank you oh great one for your wise wisdom. I hope you give us more thoughts on how to wipe ourselves without getting it on our fingers, and how to handle conversations with other human beings in the future.
  3. 1) The MVP was at the plate when Weeks got picked off. 2) Yes, it was stupid. 3) The last time Axford blew an opening day save we won 96 games and the division. 4) Heck yeah, whatta game, go Brewers. 5) This was the first time I completely forgot Ramirez used to be a Cub.
  4. Yep. Fire them. That is inexcusable. And contact their company and tell them what happened. Any company who runs a business like that and cannot handle attachments (of any reasonable size) then they don't deserve your business or anyone else's. That is completely unprofessional and wreaks of an inability to manage their business.
  5. You mean Kotsay, not Kapler, right? I'd have no problem with Davis playing RF vs almost every single LHP. He won't play 1B at all. If he were to be given any shot there, he would've played there in spring training more than once. He simply couldn't handle the position.
  6. He has a 55% TS this season. That's higher than anyone on the Bucks except Dalembert and Dunleavy. Kid can score. Period. Also, he's 20. He's 2 years younger than Henson and 3 younger than Jennings, and people still expect both of them to get better. He's also averaging 16 and 7 boards since going to Orlando. The list of 20 year olds who have done that is... well.... short.
  7. Marquette has the one guy that can help them beat Sarycuse, the question is if they throw him the ball in the right spots: Gardner. He is SUCH a good passer, if they can consistently get him the ball in the high post, they can win. If they can't, I don't think they stand much of a shot.
  8. You rebuild by collecting assets, which include young players cap space and high draft picks (see Houston). To rebuild, you don't sign over paid middle of the road veterans to high dollar contracts. Those are the guys you sign as the final piece to the puzzle, not the first piece. (See Salmons, John; Gooden, Drew; Ellis, Monta; Jennings, Brandon)
  9. If they let Jennings, Ellis and Redick leave, they'd still have their two best players: Illyasova and LARRY SANDERS!.
  10. ahh the old gotta see a lotta pitches cliche. Plenty of terrible hitters see a lot of pitches, Jason Kendall comes to mind, and plenty of great hitters hit the first good pitch they like. I consider seeing pitches to be one the most useless stats there is in determining a hitter's ability. Nothing annoys me more than watching a batter take straight as an arrow fast ball down the middle of the plate just because they never swing at the first pitch only to pop up a curve ball 3 pitches later. Nothing annoys me more than watching Yuni weakly ground to 2b on a low outside on the black fastball on the first pitch.
  11. Just you wait. Yuni at SS, Gonzalez at 1B. It's going to happen at least once.
  12. At least he can play Third too... http://www.fangraphs.com/not/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/betancourt_escobar_2013-03-15.gif
  13. YUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNIBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! He will be the toy that RR can't keep himself from using.
  14. http://aol.sportingnews.com/soccer/story/2013-03-19/jurgen-klinsmann-us-mens-soccer-coach-national-team-usa-american-world-cup-2013 Great, albeit long article. I can't say I am overly shocked, even though I loved the Klinsmann hire at the time, I'd always heard he was a "Big picture guy" and left the in game coaching to well-hired assistants.... which he's apparently left by the wayside during his US tenure.
  15. 76-86. Finish 4th. Reds vs Blue Jays in the series, with the Reds taking it.
  16. Not to take this too far afield, but there is a good deal of tension between your first and last sentences. If there is a 'loser pays' rule and MLB has any chance at all of winning their case, Biogenesis would be almost forced to knuckle under lest they lose both the case and the fortune in legal fees that they'd owe MLB. In a "Loser pays" system, it is usually "If you bring the case and you lose..." to keep frivolous lawsuits from being filed. It is not a "If you're defending yourself and you lose, you pay the winner's legal bills"
  17. It's all a parody of a youtube video which was pretty big..... pushing 2 years ago now. NSFW Language included.
  18. That usually is a sign that the HDD is going bad..... I'd run the windows check disk utility on it asap.
  19. I am sure there are apps out there which can toggle bluetooth on and off when you receive an incoming call. Something like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.hartig.abt&hl=en
  20. Bo can't not-play both Bruiser and Evans. He has no one else to man the 4, really... unless he goes crazy small and plays Dekker there. Bruiser rebounds and plays good defense. The problem is he has no idea he can't make 3's and he keeps on taking them. It's been 11 years for Bo, and they still can't run an inbounds play. I don't know why that is, but his teams have always been that way.
  21. Like any classy Cardinal, Mark Rzepczynski punched himself in the face (with a golf ball) http://www.stltoday.com/sports/baseball/professional/cardinal-beat/article_3a4bbfff-88ab-5b48-9502-b4b8b0316994.html
  22. EA has been using this DRM crap for years now and it's why I haven't bought a PC game of theirs in 4 years. Going all the way back to the DRM issues with SPORE.
  23. All Davis has played in the minors is LF. If he can hit, and deserves a spot at MLB, he needs to find another position anyway.
  24. Sitting in the upper deck, our usual Terrace Box seats with my old man, who went to Braves games when he was a kid, and hearing him say, "You know, I've never seen a walk off granny." 20 seconds later...
  25. Yes, and Orlando got blown out at home by Sacramento and was -16 in the minutes that Harris played. His SF matchup, former Buck John Salmons, scored 21 on 7-9 shooting. In the Houston game his matchup Parsons scored 21 on 9-15 shooting. Last night Harris was 3-14 in a blowout loss at home to Memphis. Let's give it more than two games before we evaluate how good or bad this trade was. It was bad regardless. Reddick doesn't make them a title contender or even a threat to move into the second round this year, and they could've signed him in the off season anyway. They gave up long term relatively cheap assets for nothing. What if the Brewers had traded away Hunter Morris last year for an average starting pitcher who was a FA to be when they were 10 games under .500 in july? Would you have had a "Lets wait and see" attitude?
