  1. Not when Robers makes about 20x as much as Rickie...
  2. Anyone, by chance, grab a glove left at the field yesterday? I'm pretty sure my roommate grabbed mine by mistake when he went to practice, but I just want to make sure.
  3. I simply cannot believe this. 14 pitchers. Poor Joe Dillon. What more could the guy do?
  4. Jeff Suppan of the Cardinals? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. I've eaten there, but only appetizers. Sadly, it doesn't look like I will be able to make it tonight. Have one (or 6...) for me everyone.
  6. So, if its as nice Saturday as it was today... anyone want to grill out during/after practice? I'd be happy to bring my grill.
  7. I agree with the sentiment. But, we would need two starters to go down now to actually need him... since Yo is back!
  8. Can't say I know of a good place to get one... they do seem to be quite the expenditure. http://www.shuffleboardfederation.com/shta.html
  9. Gabe Kapler has to be known as Skip, as in Skipper... for he was a Manager last year. And, Joe Dillon is still, Crazy Joe.
  10. So, I didn't see him on during the Mets series. Did I just miss it?
  11. I read underworld myself, and beyond the first 50 pages or so (Thompson's homer) I really wouldn't call it a baseball book, there just isn't any baseball in it other than the physical item. That's not to say it isn't a great book, though.
  12. "The Soul of Baseball" by Joe Posnanski A really great read. As the basis for the book, Posnanski spent the 2005 season traveling with O'Neil around the country as he spread the word of Negro League baseball, love for one another and what has to be described as a calling to a higher state of living - though not through a gimmick or product, but through forgiveness, laughter and genuine interaction with one another.
  13. Replied, ekutch. I do have two extra Hot Dogs.
  14. I will probably miss the opening game. Gonna be en route to Boston....
  15. More than likely I will be there!
  16. Skip has been awesome thus far this year.... but that doesn't mean I'm ready to think he can 1) hit righties better than Gross, and 2) hit better than any of our other OF's. I'm enjoying it. I hope Ned doesn't ruin it by playing him too much.
  17. I have an extra (might even have two... I will check when I get home).
  18. Job hunting. Companies interviewing me for positions even though I am completely not qualified for them. A 2 minute phone call would've saved me 2 hours of driving to Chicago and back. GRRR.
  19. You do the wave during a pitching change. Or when the opposing team is up in a blow out. Not... I repeat... NOT... when its 2-1 and there's 2 on and 2 out and the brewers are up!!!!!
  20. Third base side gets baked in the sunshine during afternoon games.
  21. I'm a big believer in, "If it ain't there, it ain't there." No amount of searching, hoping, wishing, wanting, or anything else is going to make you dig this girl if you don't already after you spend a bunch of quality time together. How much a bunch is, I can't say. Then again, I'm the guy who refuses to date for the sake of dating someone... so maybe, you shouldn't ask me.
  22. Sunflower seeds. The leather of my glove (I've been walking around with my glove for a few days now... just... itching to play) The smell of the trunk of my car during baseball season (its a combo of leather, sweat, and my grill) Watching a game with friends over a beer. Grilling in the back yard (how I miss the porch I had at my last place....) Clearly, I forgot... Having "Turning up the heat" as the ringtone on my phone... whenever someone calls me...
  23. One of my favorite musicians, Bob Schneider, records every show that his band does and sells CD's afterwards. They don't play big venue's (Shank Hall is where they usually play in Milwaukee), and most here have probably never heard of him... but the shows vary enough that I've bought the cd after almost every show I've gone to. The last major live release cd that I can remember was when Pearl Jam released all the shows from different venues.
  24. I swear, its like the director is on DVR 3 second delay and the feed we get isn't.
  25. If I buy a 9 game pack, I don't get guaranteed location or even guaranteed playoff tickets.
