  1. I can't imagine paying 25+mil a year for one guy on a team with an 80mil payroll (at most). I don't think the team could win, no matter how good CC was at that point. You couldn't afford any "Mistake" signings in free agency. Especially with our core group about to start making WAY more than they have been, it would shock me if a deal got done.
  2. http://inventorspot.com/files/images/July%208th%20&%2010th%20-%20Sports%20Logos9.img_assist_custom.JPG
  3. I shall be there.
  4. Two words as to why a meddlesome owner isn't a good thing: Al Davis. That is all.
  5. I turn 30 in a little over a month, my Dad turned 60 this year. I threw him a surprise party with 25 of his friends and family at Miller Park. It was the last Sunday in April against the Marlins. The look on his face when he walked into the lot that day was priceless, and its something I'll never forget. He ended up going to the game with me where Braun hit the grand slam and I'd never seen him go crazy at a sporting event before. At least, not like that. I was 3 years old when the Brewers were last in the playoffs, and this year, I was able to take my Dad to a playoff win at Miller Park. I know, its just baseball to many, but to me, its so much more.
  6. Ridiculous..... I'll be there, with a cooler full of beer.
  7. I'd love one of Ueck and Powell behind the desk.
  8. I'm no odds expert, but these are odds, as in a horse race, not a % chance. I'd say 100:1 is being generous for the Brewers.
  9. And they were half a step by a gold glove center fielder, who if he's 31 instead of 34, those two innings we give up no runs.
  10. So, what are they going to do when there's 200 cars in line and one guy pulls up without a pass? You know its going to happen. Constantly.
  11. David Bush. He's been the second best pitcher on the roster since the debacle in Boston. Posting a 3.57 ERA since his last start in May, and if you don't include his two rust-filled starts after 16 days off from being platooned, it drops to 3.11. He really, really, has not sucked. Despite what the radio hosts in Milwaukee would have you believe.
  12. I know he's Prince Fielder and I know he's our best hitter, but my gosh, why can't the man square up and push a bunt down the 3rd base line when he leads off an inning and the 3rd baseman is playing almost up the middle?
  13. I remember that so well.....http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h237/paule17/Lambeau/jenks423.jpg
  14. I soak it for an hour, to try to get most of the grime off then basically put it under the shower for 20 minutes to rinse even more out of it... then I go to the actual washing. I've even tried dry cleaning in the past, that didn't work at all.
  15. Tony Gwynn is not the answer. He OBP'd .328 and OPS'd .659 in AAA this year. That does not translate to him being BETTER than that in MLB next year. I'll be very sad if Cam isn't running down gappers and taking away hits in CF again next year. I love watching him play the game, I've never seen anyone so smooth in CF.
  16. I won't tell you who I think the Mets are... but.... lets just say I think one of the announcers might be Keith Hernandez.
  17. I'm in. I can't make the game on Thursday though, sadly. :/
  18. Yep. Just woke up. Still drunk.
  19. Luke, I'll ask a buddy of mine if he wants to play, he's an infielder and a solid player and a lefty hitter to boot.
  20. A few things I wish people who say they follow the Brewers would know: 1) Dave Bush doesn't suck. He's been head and shoulders above anything Parra or Soup has done since halfway through May 2) Mike Cameron is much, much better than Tony Gwynn at baseball. 3) Ray Durham is terrible defensively. Worse than Weeks. 4) Strikeouts are no worse than any other out. Really.
  21. I don't know why you think the fact that a guy is 0-whatever or 1-whatever that game has any bearing on his next AB. Cameron should always hit, he's the 3rd best hitter on the team right now. He did PH for Hall, and should've for Kendall.
  22. Dear Mr. Yost, While I respect your knowledge of baseball far surpasses my own, I ask, you please remember, that you have Tony Gwynn, Jr on your roster, not Tony Gwynn, Sr. Also, Craig Counsell and Jason Kendall can be pinch hit for, and you have better hitters on the bench then they are.
  23. Didn't see this posted... but apparently he's had a bone spur in his right elbow.... http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=792933
  24. You tried turning it off and on? I've had similar problems with mine when it isn't switching cel towers properly.
