  2. I thought we got better after last year, but this team still cannot make a play on a bunt. Twice the Padres tried to give us an out. Twice we didn't get one. Twice the Padres scored 4 runs that inning. Terrible.

  5. When my baseball savvy friend who happens to be a Cubs fan tells me he's so glad Yost is the Brewers manager... you know something is wrong.
  6. Okay, here we go.... Jenkins option exercised... but then he'll be traded, I believe. Same with Mench (arby, then trade). Why pay 12M for a platoon when you can get 90% of that for under 1M? OFs: Hart, Hall, Gross, Gwynn IFs: Fielder, Weeks, Hardy, Braun, Counsell UT: Dillon, Rottino(?) C: Estrada, ? I really like the flexibility that having Rottino and Dillon would give the 'Crew, as they can both play so many positions. Double switches for everyone! That leaves room for 12 P's. I severly doubt that the Brewers will trade a starter, especially considering what happened this year (and 2 years ago) with injuries. Better to be deep in the pen. Pitchers: Bush, Capuano, Gallardo, Parra, Sheets, Shouse (arby eligible), Suppan, Turnbow, Vargas, Villanueva Thats 10 that will be back, almost for sure. This is ignoring McClung, Wise, Stetter (all 3 I think are arby or under contract) Not to mention Coco, Linebrink and King. The only pitcher I could see being moved is Vargas. He's had a career year, and this off season would be the time to get the most value for him. I don't see a big splash in FA. I hope Linebrink comes back. As for a closer... who knows what may happen.
  7. That's just crazy! I love BA. He's unbelievable. Anyone who says he isn't passionate enough, should find the quote of Counsell's triple that Estrada scored on from first. Labor day I believe it was.
  8. Dillon/Gross, Hall, Hart. Gwynn on the bench for '08. At least, that's how I see it. I can't imagine moving Braun after a full year devoted to him 'getting it' (and he is getting better, imo).
  9. Tips to improve social life: Intramural sports. Great way to meet people. If you're not an athletic guy... sign up for a 1 credit course in something. Whether its bowling, billiards or ballroom dancing.
  10. So, we were Yosted, because he pitched Turnbow 2 days ago in a 7-1 game. Why wasn't Wise used then?!??!?? No, better save Wise for a tie game, and use up Turnbow (who's terrible on no rest this year) for no reason at all. Oh, and clearly the right choice in an extra inning game (who knows how long its going) was probably Capuano. *sigh*

Top 5 QB of all time, Top 5 hitter of all time, and the greatest defenseman ever? http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l29/Bostnfn/SniderDuke2.jpg

  13. It was about 45 degrees outside when the game was over Saturday night. Thats why it was closed.
  14. I'll be out that night late, after playing ultimate frisbee probably at Steve's on Bluemound.

  16. Hey, adam, I'm a senior at UWM. Feel free to drop me a line if you have any Q's. My best advice: Remember, there will always be more parties. There's only one night to study for that midterm. Look me up on facebook if you want... soyenfuego@yahoo.com
  17. Can't say they're out of it when they play 3 head to head this weekend. Go Cards!

(I was also at his first one that Wednesday @ Wrigley...*sigh*) And another, pre-goatee. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/fe125b998f85266a53f9087cbec9d0d8b2e3182.jpg
  19. To paraphrase Jerry Seinfeld, "More Americans are afraid of public speaking than death. That means at a funeral, most people would rather be in the coffin than giving the eulogy." Although, personally, I'm only afraid of snakes. And... that's because of one thing (when I was about 6 and watched this...) http://www.verumserum.com/media/2006/12/indiana-jones.jpg

  22. MAKE IT STOP!!
  23. 2 innings this game, 3 innings another blow out (if one happens), and that's another start for Yo... instead of Cappy or Vargas or whomever else. That's why it frustrated me so much.
  24. 2 innings wasted for Yovani tonight. What was he doing in there in a 12-0 game? Nay.
  25. I... couldn't... resist...
