  1. Does the plan call for the team to own the stadium, but the taxpayers pay for it? I'm not sure where the redistribution of wealth happens without that. Do you think the 5 counties are getting a cut of ticket sales at Miller Park? Hint: They aren't.
  2. Other than Turner Field, what new stadium has been rebuilt in the last 30 years?
  3. I think I read earlier this morning that the players voted on the pitchers and relievers back in mid-June so this might be why Votto got voted in instead. Yep. They voted sometime around the middle of June, when Aguilar was sitting right around a .900 OPS. From June 19th to July 9th, he's put up a .357/.413/.886 (!!!)/1.298 line with 11 HRs. So, yeah, he's been pretty big since the players voted
  4. The sound the entire crowd made when Ryan Church lifted that fly ball to right field was something I'll never forget. The gasp, silence and utter fear. Then they showed Maybin (I think) camped under the ball waiting and making the last out and the entire place erupted. Side note: That was also the last out ever at Shea Stadium
  5. You can stream it through the at bat app from mlb... Costs like $15 for the season I think
  6. Might be late, but I've used the "snake method" many times to great effect using charcoal. Now, grill dependent, temperature dependent, etc, etc. With a solid thermometer you can set an alarm if the temp gets too high or too low, but once it starts, it can run for hours and hours unassisted. Might not be something you want to do the first time, but I've had great success.
  7. They scored one run. Obviously had they pinch hit Hader, they would've won.
  8. last 2 games? I think he has always been questionable when it comes to his pen use. His rules are pretty simple. If they are tied or up 1-2, use the best relievers you have. If not, use everybody else and save those guys for higher leverage.
  9. So, wait, if the brewers don't score another run today, is Counsell retroactively a genius? That's how this works now, right?
  10. It wasn't a mistake though. He had thrown 11 pitches, got a few flair hits against him and then got exactly what he wanted and Shaw screwed up the play. Counsell did nothing wrong there. Yep. Got two weak ground balls that are outs 90% of the time.
  11. Plus Braun lazily running over was in no position to make a throw even though he easily could've been.
  12. I surveyed the knee brace selection at Target yesterday and noticed the patella tendon brace you recommended. Would the larger sleeve style brace give me the same support around the knee cap (plus a little more) or is that more of a general purpose brace? If you truly believe you have patella tendinitis, buy the small thin brace. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/patellar-tendinitis/symptoms-causes/syc-20376113 Icing is important to reduce symptoms and doing strengthening exercises to improve the stabilization in your legs can only reduce the strain on your knees -- planks, squats, lunges, calf raises, etc etc. Anyway, if pain continues, please, for your sake, go to the doctor!
  13. First place for 150 days!
  14. I anxiously await the day my "Tastes Great, Less Filling" chant catches on.
  15. If you're in market you can get FSWI on pretty much all streaming services, each of which is around $30-40 a month. Sling, Hulu, PS Vue, and YoutubeTV all offer FSWI. Or you can subscribe to MLB.tv and then get a VPN and if your VPN happens to have you in, say, Seattle... you can watch all the Brewers games (but then you can't access bf.net )
  16. Realllllllllllllllly dried up. No it's called ring chasing morons. Earth to Adam Silver...the Warriors, Lakers, and Rockets may make you alot of money, but there's 25 other franchises out there that are in irrelevance. Why should their fans even care when it's a predetermined outcome before the season even starts who's going to be left standing? Name one NBA player who's come back from a torn Achilles tendon in under 1.5 years and played ate a high level.
  17. If anyone will benefit from Bud being the coach, it'll be Tony Snell. I'm excited to see what he does with an actual coach running an actual offense that encourages 3 point shots, and who understands the difference between a good result and a good decision.
  18. But who is the Brewers Silver Fox?
  19. My power has gone out for the third time today. I'm really annoyed. It's 94 outside, so no A/C. This is also making it impossible to meal prep, when I've got an electric stovetop
  20. Day games are generally "give any good players a day off" game so that makes sense. They are almost 20% worse during day games. That's pretty bad. The biggest offenders: Travis Shaw, with a .998 OPS during night games and a .554 OPS during day games -- he's started 29 of the 31 day games so far this season. Ryan Braun: 18 Day games started (28 Night games) .902 OPS at night, .424 OPS during the day. Orlando Arcia: 17 Day Games started, .583 OPS during night games, .260 OPS during day games
  21. The teams OPS+ in Day games compared to the league average in day games is 89 (.679 team OPS, .717 league). The teams OPS+ in night games compared to the league average in night games is 106 (.750 team OPS, .727 league)-- That 17 point gap is huge. They have been horrible in day games. 3.9 R/G compared to 4.6 R/G for night games. Edit: 14-17 during day games, so 31-15 for all other games.
