  1. I know Brewski's serves a pretty good lunch and they have a ton of TVs. I might take an extra long lunch today and watch as much as I can. Unfortunately, I have a 3pm meeting that I cannot miss....
  2. Lefty acquired during the season starting the last game of the year when the Brewers are tied for a playoff spot..
  3. Please explain the Davis pick.
  4. I thought there was a thread for this, but I couldn't find it.... but... I'm starting to compile clips to fill my coffers for this off season (and to play randomly at future tailgates) I'd love to hear people's favorite plays, moments, games from this season. I'll start with an early season favorite of mine:
  5. Think of it by PA. A pitcher is 50% of every PA they pitch. If a guy throws 200 innings and averages say, 4 PA/inning that's 800 PA's in a season. I do have one question, though: isn't it better to average 3PA an inning and only get 600 PA? Pitchers want to reduce opposing PA right? I really like thinking of it in these terms, but that part confuses me... Yes, this is true. I was just using an example. If a guy pitches 35 perfect games, he'll obviously be more valuable than any 1/9th of the offense.
  6. Think of it by PA. A pitcher is 50% of every PA they pitch. If a guy throws 200 innings and averages say, 4 PA/inning that's 800 PA's in a season.
  7. Rollie Fingers was hurt and wasn't able to pitch in the World series. Had he been able to pitch in those high leverage situations, I still believe to this day we would have won the series. Still hurts to this day. If I remember correctly, he was also unavailable for the ALCS... Yeah, he was definitely referring to Fingers. The Brewers were up 4-2 in game 2 and 3-1 in game 7.
  8. 38, 39 and 40 for the hawing household. I'm laughing at the notion that I'm somehow supposed to pay attention to the library between now and Friday afternoon. I got home last night after watching that game (and the Cubs game) with some friends. I read that Yelich article this morning. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to get any more work done today.
  9. Humor me.... If they lost the rest of their games... is there even a way they could get kicked from the postseason all together? Or would we need the Cardinals to win tonight vs us for that to happen? Trying to run down scenarios and it depends on LA and COL too... The Cubs have clinched at least a tiebreaker game in the WC. They are at 91 wins, so if they lose out they will finish with.... 91 wins! The Cardinals and Rockies are both at 87 wins, Cards have 4 games left, Rockies have 5. So, if the Cubs lose out, the worst they could do is tie the Cardinals for WC#2.
  10. Probably in jail or dead. Nah, he cleaned up. The archived threads are a great read though. HALF A GAME BACK!
  11. What volumes of issues are you referring to. I mean it's OK that you screwed up the process but what leads you to believe many others did the same. My rep emailed me and said she manually processed 50 orders from people with that issue yesterday.
  12. Two plus years later.... I'm Paddled. It's Monday. Life is good. Cubs lose. Brewers win.
  13. Monday could not have been any better. Let's go Pirates.
  14. This. Exactly why I feel Trout winning the AL MVP over Betts is asinine. Yeah, because who is the last guy to win a playoff MVP from a losing team? It pretty much never happens. The regular season though? I mean, Stanton just won it.
  15. Monday could not have gone any better for the Brewers. Cubs lose. Rockies pull closer to the Cards. Brewers win. Let's. Go!
  16. There is so much good, free content out there about learning to code, I would start there. Get an idea about the basics and go from there. https://www.reddit.com/r/learnprogramming/wiki/faq#wiki_getting_started Reddit is a seriously great resource for things like self learning.
  17. He has 107 touches in 4 games (89 over the last 3 games) How much do you want them to use him?
  18. Nope, it is working as intended. They just poorly formulated what was happening by not using clear English. What it should've said is, "You will be allowed to buy 4 tickets total spanning the Wild Card & NLDS Games."
  19. Yep. Having the same exact problem. It's a joke.
  20. The tickets I just bought are better than the seats I got as a SSH -- even though they are in the same section (Terrace Box) Ridiculous.
  21. My wife and I have been big fans of parking at a local watering hole and taking the shuttle. Gets you in and out quickly and easily. I had to stop doing this because the local bar would run shuttles for 2 hours before the game. They have 2 shuttles that seat about 15 people each. They were regularly shuttling well over 100 people to games. After waiting over an hour to get on a shuttle after the game, that was the end of shuttling for me. I'll park on Wells and walk down.
  22. We are in a really crazy situation with the match-ups in the final week of the season, where the Brewers, Cardinals and Rockies all control their own destiny for getting into the Wild Card games -- and the Cardinals actually control their destiny for WC#1!
  23. He had more charisma than Guttenberg. Gosh darned Stonecutters.
  24. I'm 39 years old and to this day when my mother is angry she definitely scares me the most.
