  1. They are by far the worst in the league for an above .500 team vs other above .500 teams. http://espn.go.com/nba/standings/_/type/expanded Of the 15 teams in the league over .500, only 2 other teams are more than 1 game below .500 vs over .500 teams -- Phoenix and Washington.
  2. Knight (And Middleton) are both restricted free agents, meaning the Bucks have the right to match any offer they formally accept, hence where a sign-and-trade comes in (which is how they got both of them in the first place, by trading Jennings)
  3. You'll get drawings as soon as they have finalized the site. They need to secure funding of the arena before they go and pay exorbitant amounts of money to secure a site. The owners simply aren't going to negotiate against themselves by leaking information early, especially with the wonderful Journal Sentinal trying to extort them to get to pay through the nose to secure their primary site.
  4. I'm going to try to explain this, at least from my understanding: The current 6.5M being brought in by taxing the Bucks & their opponents is earmarked to stay within the current budget. However, in 2016-2017, the television budget is going to nearly triple, which will massively increase the salary cap in the NBA. The additional tax revenue brought in beyond the 6.5M is what will be used to pay off the bond.
  5. Not sure if this will work, but... http://www.myfax.com/free/ Also, it's 2015, you shouldn't have to fax anything, ever.
  6. I enjoyed Block. I enjoyed him a LOT more when he was paired with Hamilton (or someone else) in the booth. I'm sure it's tough for a guy to be the lone-man in the booth so often when I doubt he'd done that very much before. There's a reason almost no-one does it these days.
  7. Ignore what BMI says. BMI is for a specific body type, if you're broad chested and muscular your BMI will be way off. Body fat % is a much better way to judge things.
  8. Well, it was time for a change.... this one is me at Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park
  9. Um, he missed 3 months when he got elbowed in the face and broke his orbital bone. I'm not sure how that is self inflicted.
  10. Last year Advanced general was $9, and day of game was $10, with Marquee being $15.
  11. Jonah Keri has a good look going forward on who's coming onto the ballot: http://grantland.com/the-triangle/hall-of-fame-reset-a-very-early-look-at-mlb-induction-possibilities-for-the-next-five-years/ One of the more interesting cases is Milwaukee's own rented son, Jim Edmonds.
  12. They just showed Rock Schroeder on the Bucks broadcast. After saying he was inducted to the Brewers wall of honor, Pashke immediately said, "He was behind the plate for Juan Nieves' no hitter."
  13. 4 got in. Johnson, Pedro Martinez, Smoltz and Biggio. I'm just shocked at how much better people view Smoltz than Mussina or Schilling.
  14. Can you explain to me how the Brewers passed on Mike Trout when the Angels selected him before the Brewers could draft him? Yeah, it was Texieria's decision to sign with the Yankees that cost the Brewers their shot at Trout (who was drafted with the comp pick the Angels got, which was the higher of the two when compared to the Brewers pick they got from CC signing)
  15. It's hilarious that for something that is all about integrity of the game that these guys don't have to make their votes public. The fact that I could legitimately vote for 15 or so guys on this ballot makes the only vote for 10 thing silly, as does the "I'm only going to vote for 3 guys" attitude of some of the sports writers. My votes, in order: 1. Bonds 2. Pedro 3. Johnson 4. Clemens 5. Schilling 6. Mussina 7. Smoltz 8. Raines 9. McGwire 10. Bagwell 11. Sosa 12. Biggio 13. Edgar Martinez 14. Trammel 15. Larry Walker 16. Sheffield 17. Lee Smith 18. McGriff I mean, that's a ridiculous list.
  16. I just want to say, Bando was completely ripped for that statement, but the full question was along the lines of: "Do you view Molitor as a position player still or is he a DH?" Bando: "He's just a DH." Now, not resigning Molitor, yes, awful in my 13 year old self's mind and it broke my heart... but looking back... if the Brewers resigned a 35 year old, injury prone DH to a deal for approximately 10% of their team salary.... Who am I kidding. It broke my heart.
  17. Awesome!!! I have a few friends who thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, and they said that John Muir was by far the best section of the whole thing. It's easily one of the prettiest hiking trails in the US, if not North America. You're going to have such an awesome trip. Have you done much long-distance hiking before? Have you purchased all your gear yet? I don't want to stick my nose where it doesn't belong, but I've done a good amount of long-distance hiking myself, and I'd be happy to talk with you about gear selection and whatnot. I've done a few 4 day weekends before, covering 40ish miles with a full pack, and done 4 days in the Rockies with huge elevation changes (but shorter mileage days). I've got most of my gear already (I could go out backpacking tomorrow if I wanted) but I plan to lower my weight and cut out a bunch of gear before I go. I also plan on a few weekends of longer backpacking this summer to be sure I'm ready (along with a general fitness regimen). Any tips or advice is always welcome, I am an over-preparer, so while I'm not working today, I'm plotting elevation changes and possible mileages on the trail.

  19. http://www.82games.com/Image13.gif It's pretty obvious that every pick higher you have a chance at a better player. Also, #11 puts you in the lottery, with a tiny chance to move up, where as #18 (where they'd be right now as the 6 seed) puts them nowhere near that. Working out a 37 year old has-been, who used to play with the coach with no roster space to actually sign him worries me. It's not "looking towards the future", neither was the Jerred Bayless signing (who happens to share the same agent as our Coach).
  20. I've decided to hike the 220 mile John Muir trail in 2015 over 3 weeks. I am thoroughly excited.
  21. Growing up when I grew up as a kid born in the late 70's, you forgot my favorite one, "You don't know Bo, the legend of Bo Jackson"
  22. I saw The Raid 2 at MKE Film Fest. The action and violence was so over the top I had to laugh at times. It was awesome.
  23. Depends what you mean by "of significance" They brought in 2 backup point guards in Bayless & Marshall, they also brought in Dudley (for Delfino and Miroslav). As great a job as Kidd has done, Health has been the #1 contributor to more wins this year. Sanders is healthy and playing very well, Mayo isn't fat, Ersan can actually run up and down the court (when he doesn't have a broken nose). I've had a blast watching the team so far, and love when they are whipping the ball around and not playing iso-offense. I watched the Warriors for the 5th time this year last night, my gosh, are they fun to watch.
  24. The landscape of college football has changed so much over the past decade, going back 25 years to find the powerhouse Michigan seems naive. The University of Wisconsin is one of TWO Big10 schools who do not allow exceptions to allow minimum NCAA Qualifiers onto their athletic teams. The other is Illinois. Now, you won't actually get anyone at any University to say this, or discuss it, but it is a fact, and it's one reason why Diamond Stone hasn't officially committed to be a Badger yet. Here is a decent article on the subject: http://thetelegraph.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?avis=PE&date=20140717&category=news&lopenr=307179923&Ref=AR
  25. In every interview since I've worked there I was asked why I left that place. I'm assuming they will ask me as well, and I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but are you saying I should lie instead of tell the truth that I was let go (because the CEO was using shady accounting practices to make the company look successful to investors until he ran out of money and was eventually sued by multiple people)? Saying "The company went out of business" or "I was let go due to budget constraints within the company." is a perfectly acceptable answer to that question. You don't have to delve deeper into it, really.
