I know he has some whip issues but seems he could step into the pen. Gotta be better than Gagne.

Its still better than Hall is hitting right now. Why cant the Brewers just put Dillon down, bring Russ up & use him to platoon with Hall. As far as Im concerned Weeks needs to be sent down & we can bring up Hernan to play second also. While Im at this I am starting to agree with everyone about Gwynn. They can bring Nelson up too or try Nix again. I know they would need to mess with the 40 man roster a little but something needs to be done now.

I need help again!!!!!!!!!!!! I m in a regular yahoo league. I got a request fot a trade. I would get Justin Upton of Connor Jackson 1b He would get Carlos Guillen 1b,ss,3b Carlos Beltran of

I did not read this thread throught but Jim Tracy was a guy who always interested me. I dont know what others think about him, I dont even know if he is a coach on a team right now. Didnt Harvey get fired after 87 wins. Granted it was a 5th place finish but 87 wins deserves a contract extension not getting fired.

I always wondered how the thin air of Denver (our AAA team) affected this team. It always seemed like we had the next big hitter whose was going to take the world by storm. Todd Dunn, Tim Pyznarski, Joey Meyer, Glenn Braggs &Dave Nillison are part of that era that I remember hearing big things about but did not pan out as advertised. I dont think we had much of a scouting sytems in the 90's either. We can draft Giambi,Garciaparra, Matt Morris & Alex Fernadez but not sign them. And if Im not mstaken we were one the last to scout in other countries.

I know what you mean but it takes me back to my high school days when our pitcher( and a very good pitcher) father kept yelling throw strikes, cmon right down the middle now. Well after about 5 innings of this he lifted his hand in the air & yelled back at Dad, what the heck do you think Im trying to do. You want to show your stuff off. Dad was kept his mouth shut for the rest of that game.

We the hops enigneers & specialist at Samuel Adams ale & loggers take displeasure in the Milwaukee Brewer name & the Burnie Brewer symbol. We are not a bunch of dumb oafs with unruly hair cuts that slide down slides & wave flags when our team hits a home run. We would appreciate a name change immeidatly. In a related story the high seas business men & entreprenuers express displeasure with the Pirate logo.

Im all for messing with the Yankees colors & logo. Maybe a nice vivid tangerine & ivory colors. They could have those short sox with the balls hanging off the back of them. Maybe a nice shoulder pad to complement everything. Yep I could see it.

Not to say this would ever happen but I want to keep Hart. While Prince is a great hitter, I would deal him. He does not seem like he wants to stay around Milwaukee.Personally I would send Prince & Bush to the Giants for Lincecum,Fred Lewis, & a couple of pitching prospects.Lincecum could step right into yo's spot, Lewis could leadoff moving Weeks down some spots (hopefully he would not put so much presure on himself) & a couple of prospects to help stock the farm system.

I did not reead the whole thread but I do have an important question. Is this DL stint going to be most of the year?

I need some fantasy baseball help. I m in a yahoo league. I have some one always asking for trades with me. He wants to trade Adrian Gonzalez to me for some reason. Finally I told him hey you need pitching I need some hitters. One of the last trades was: I would get AJ Bunett(and his wonderful ERA) Jose Lopez Adrian Gonzalez He would get Russ Marin Ryan Theriot Ian Snell So I Countered I would get Carl Crawford Kerry Wood He would get : Jose Velvarde Ben Sheets Russ Martin He countered almost the same exact trade except he took out Crawford & put in Granderson. My team C Soto C Martin 1b/ss C Guillen 2b Hill 1B/3b Gordon ss Steven Drew ss/2b Ryan Theriot of Carlos Beltran of Corey Hart of Lastings Milldege 3b M Reynolds Util M DeRosa P Santana P Webb P Sheets P Snell P Gallardo P Burhle P M Rivera P Gagne P Velvarde DL Glavine Im thinking about this because I believe I have enough pitch depth, a decent catcher left. I would upgrade my outfield over Milledge & I think Wood is a upgrade over Valverde. What do you think?

Great maybe overestimating his value in my opinion. He has a poor arm & does not play the outfield well. A forth outfielder & a spot starter I could see.

My mom passed away when I was a junior in high school . Dad just found it easier to give me her car. I had a 1980 Chrysler LeBarron . I had it for about 3 or 4 years until I pulled out in front of a car I did not see & hit the backend of a Ford Taurus that plowed into a tree. The guy who hit me from behind was a big wig for an insurance company & the woman in the Taurus was 8 months preagnant. Thankfully everyone was fine. A month late Dad bought me an 84 Olds Firenza for 3000.00. He kept a running total on his desk. I would get paid & depending on how many hours I would work I would put 50 or 75 bucks every other week on his deck & work my total down. It seemed like I paid that car off at least once but because it went thru 2 head gaskets & a new head it just kept adding up. Then there was the day I went to the desk to leave my money & watch my total go down . I looked at the paper ,it has 400.00 added to it & net to it it said new tires, your welcome. I was ticked but looking back he only meant the best.

Ben McDonald & Mike Matheney sat infront of me at a Tim Mcgraw concert but only for a couple of minutes.I would have not even noticed who they were except I noticed this guy(McDonald) who was wearing a really nice Nike Jacket. I thought to my self he has to pay a pretty penny for that or he must be an athlete. Sure enough. I think he pitched that day & he was put on the DL right after that . I dont know if he has pitched after that. Ben & his wife were there with one of his wifes friends Im assuming. Mcdonald was kind of making fun of the music & I dont think he really wanted to be there. Matheney just seemed yo be taking everything in & did not really talk to anyone except Mcdonald. Soon Ben got them all backstage & they were gone.

Now granted this is based on watching on my 20 inch flat screen but Mota seems to have some decent movment on his fastball. I would like to see Mota close but Tbadder has a great point.

Im fine with this trade. I wish Gabe the best & I hopes he does well for the Rays. I m willing to bet that Gross was the best overall backup outfielder we had(however I have not seen a full year of Kapler yet). If I want someone to start it would be Gross. However if I need a late innings defensive replacement I want Gwynn or Kapler. This being said Im not worried about our bench or backup outfielders, Im worried about our closer.

I could see Livian Hernandez around the end of July if the Twins aew not in it. Maybe Migual Baustita , Jaime Moyer, or Jose Contreasa bit earlier.Although I would rather see Jeff Weaver pitch before them with the exception of Hernandez.

This was quite a few years ago but my wife taught a foods & nutrition program to teens at a youth center (in Racine. I think it was down by the Case Plant on the lake). The teens then in turn taught the younger kids at the center while she oversaw them. That was thru the UW Extension office. She is still very involved with 4-H. They have many things that you could lead. Im currently a rocketry leader & the co-rabbit leader.

Loved : I think Gorman would be right att the top of that list. After Yount& Molitor, I want to throw Ray King,Overbay,Kevin Seitzer & Brooks Kieschnick on that list. Hated due to attitude: Jeff Judden, Chucky Carr, Kevin Reimer,Alex Sanchez, Sheff, Johnny E,Cappellan, jeffery leonard Hated coach due to attitude:Dave Stewart( he still burns me, in my book he will never be considered a brewer.) Hated due to front office stupidity: Sean Berry,Franklin Stubbs, Jeffery Hammonds,Jose Hernadez,Sal Bando for being the front office Most hated for no fault of his own:Rick Manning, first he was traded for our beloved Gorman, then he got the game winning hit when Molitor was on deck when Molitor hitting streak was on the line

Now Sleeth is a bust, he retired last week due to arm problems.

Everything goes in cycles. Sure the Brewers can be just as dominate in Wisconsin as the Packers. In fact I am already see signs of people wearing more Brewer clothes in my area than Packer clothes. My Kohls carried a lot more Brewers stuff than Packers stiff even over the winter. It all has to do with winning. Just think back if someone mentioned the easter sunday game or the 13 game winning streak the average wisconsinite would know what you mean. Ask them who the Packer quaterback was in 1987. Im guessing you might get a much lower percentage of people who know that. I love the Packers. I could probally name off 75% of the 96 team from memory. I consider my self a much big Brewer fan but I know I could hardly tell you who was on the 96 Brewer team. Ask me about the 82 Brewer team I could probally rattle off 90 % of that team & I was a kid when they were playing. I think it all has to do with the winning season.

The most recent time I got upset was with my bank. I received a check for something and they wouldn't allow me to cash it out because I didn't have that much in my account at the time. I said, ok I'll just deposit it use my debit card. They said that wouldn't be allowed because there would be 4 day hold on the check. I have been going to that bank cashing checks for a long time and haven't heard of that policy. So I said, you're not going to allow me to use my own money? The lady said thats right, since there will be a hold on the check. I told the lady, I guess its time for me to switch banks huh? and left. I'm sure that other banks have similar policies but I was annoyed. Jason, I use to work for a financial instituion. Maybe I can explain(although you still maybe annoyed by my answer). If its a personal check, an insurance check or a credit card check they will usally put a hold on them. Our policy on a personal check was to call to see if the funds were available & to leave the check on hold until hold date was over or to call to see if the check cleared. I would usally tell them to take the check to the bank it was drawn off of & they should cash it as long as you have a picture ID & the money is in the account. Im not sure on insurance check but credit card checks are put on hold because they could max out there card before the check hold & the company will not honor them. I would usally try to explain this was not there fault but just a precaution as we have got burned a few times. I know I had taken a few my time as a teller. My uncle wrote me a rather large check & they put that on hold & I was an employee there.

Being fairly young himself he can probally connect with the kids coming right out of high school & college. I have no problem with this.
