  1. One advantage to the pandemic is that I don’t even have to pretend to care about the NFL this year. I won’t even accidentally watch it since I won’t be at any bars or restaurants with TVs.
  2. It still just amazes me that there are several teams that are hitting worse than the Brewers. I know the average MLB game is quickly turning into an unwatchable 3.5 hour 3TO home run derby, but it still blows my mind that there are objectively worse offensive teams in MLB right now.
  3. It's certainly a sad season, but it's difficult to put it into context with the circumstances. They weren't the same team after the long break. If this eventually leads to Giannis leaving Milwaukee I'll be sad, but until that happens I expect they will regroup and make another run next year.
  4. Bledsoe...
  5. Bledsoe...
  6. They can't let the game get away here.
  7. They can't let the game get away here.
  8. It's about time the supporting cast showed up and won a game. Assuming they can hold on for the full 48...
  9. There was a contingency of BF.net that wanted to bat Branyan leadoff because of his high OBP.
  10. Thank goodness Smoak is gone, I couldn't stand watching him strike out or bounce into the shift. Much more fun to watch Vogey strike out or bounce into the shift, and with any luck he'll accidentally make good contact and hit a ball completely out of the Am Fam Clamshell.
  11. As for the Am Clam logo they should have easily put a brick texture where the boring blue "Field" stripe is. But, whatever. And yes, I will be referring to the Brewers' stadium as the "Am Clam" from now on.
  12. Guaranteed Rate clearly wanted the extra press that would come with an ugly logo. In the end the White Sox look like idiots for not negotiating the logo before the papers were signed and Guaranteed Rate gets millions of extra dollars worth of attention.
  13. I understand the reason...American Family has a boring logo so there isn't really much that can be done design-wise without taking attention away from the paying customer. Anyway, I assume it will be similar to the change to T-Mobile Park in Seattle where they didn't spend a penny more than they had to on new signage/integration of the new logo. There are a lot of details that need to be changed inside the ballpark and it will be done as quick and cheap as possible. After all, you never know when American Family is going to get acquired or do some corporate branding change or sell the naming rights, which will require redoing all the signs again.
  14. [sarcasm]Looks like Mark A's salary cuts included the graphics department.[/sarcasm]
  15. My main gripe with 3TO baseball is that it makes it too easy on the defense. The same was true when Ken Macha was manager. Pitcher doesn't have to worry about baserunners.
  16. No this lineup sucks because our minor league system has barely produced any bats and Stearns decided to spend money on Smoak, Sogard, and Garcia. How much did Smoak+Sogard+Garcia cost relative to the Moustakas contract?
  17. Seriously, this lineup sucks because we didn't want to overpay for 3-4 year contracts for players that also suck. I don't see anyone begging for Moustakas to be back right now.
  18. I think the opposite, I think that Counsell doesn't have these guys ready to play day in and day out based on the constant mental mistakes... Bad enough that they are not performing physically, but the stupid mental mistakes take a toll, and some of that has to fall on the manager. CC is over rated imo. If it's a bad roster and bad managing, how did they win 16 games?
  19. I was thinking this for a bit but they upped the intensity a bit later in the second quarter. I hope the Bucks keep posting up, it was far more effective than drive+dish for a 3.
  20. This team is more painful to watch than 2002. At least that team was supposed to be bad, this team is just as god-awful to watch but they keep drawing me in because they should be better than this. It's a true miracle that Counsell has somehow found a way to get them to 16 wins.
  21. Down 6 at half seems like a huge victory.
  22. I really didn't expect the Bucks to get dominated in the paint in this series, but that's the current reality.
  23. Schoop's been pretty great except for his time in Milwaukee.
  24. This Fulmer guy doesn't look very good.
