  1. Vogey has a nice short swing and is capable of hitting the ball somewhere other than directly into the shift. I like it. Sooner or later he's going to find a power stroke.
  2. I assume Yelich is going to hit a couple more HR tonight since this thread popped up today.
  3. What's going to happen when games get canceled because of COVID? This is such a joke, the Big Ten had the right idea to just play in early 2021 when there could have been some fans in the stands and a better chance of getting through the season. Good luck with that now.
  4. I think it's mostly mental. Pressure of a big contract + short season + the rest of the offense stinking it up. It could be worse, his numbers are better than the eye test. Agreed that it's not really a worry situation right now, we'll see how he looks when things get back to normal-ish next year.
  5. I hate the 8 team playoff field so much. I should have been able to mentally bury this team weeks ago, but here I am yet again, expecting a different result.

  8. One step back from the cliff. Feels like we went through this about 10 times in summer 2019.
  9. Not hit much harder than Arcia's grounder but that might be the difference in this one.
  10. This is one of those games where the runner on 2B rule will be the only thing preventing it from going all night.
  11. The smoke is really terrible on the west coast this week. It's bad enough to be stuck at home all the time but now I'm stuck inside on top of that. I had a long bike ride planned this weekend that I had to axe. It's going to be a long winter.
  12. I'm really impressed at the weight loss stories from this year. Way to go BF.net!
  13. Sticking to their core strengths is smart strategy. I can't blame WRs for not wanting to come to Wisconsin when you know they will constantly run the ball with that O-line. But Bucky always has the most success in years when they have enough of a passing game to prevent the D from stacking the box.
  14. I agree, Skip Bayless is very good at what he does -- he's very close to being Stephen Colbert from the Colbert Report. Which would actually be a great character for a sports-related show.
  15. The NFL couldn't even get to the kickoff without another controversial moment. LOL.
  16. Two of my friends were working out together, both similar in size. One ran on a treadmill while the other made it incline and walked. The one that walked burned more calories than the one who ran. And it was easier on the joints. According to my Fitbit, a one-hour walk is around 400 calories burned and a one-hour run at a moderate pace is around 700. Not as much of a difference as one might think.
  17. I'm of the belief that walking is the best form of exercise that is easily accessible to anyone. If your goal is to simply burn calories, walking is way easier than going to the gym or taking a fitness class. Since the work-from-home started I see a lot of people walking during the day while on conference calls.
  18. The Brewers' team OPS jumped from .690 to .718 after yesterday's game. Now up to 22nd in MLB. 18th in OBP. One more big game and this will be a league-average offense.
  19. Getting the taxpayers to cover a portion of an arena comes down to the fact that there are more Milwaukee-sized cities than NBA teams and public financing for an arena is legal.
  20. All I know is I didn't wake up today and think "Maybe today will be the day the Brewers tie their franchise record for extra-base hits."
  21. Uecker: "One time our offense exploded for a big inning. Then the manager finally turned to me and said, 'Grab a bat and stop this rally.' "
