  1. The Brewers are a small market team, if Moose is too expensive then he's gone. That's life. Someone like Todd Frazier can be signed to play 3B next year.
  2. Is the assumption that he won't accept the mutual option? If someone else wants to offer him 2 years then he's gone.
  3. The question is why she married the guy in the first place ;-)
  4. It would not affect other sports at all. Top football schools are literally swimming in extra athletics cash, spending tens of millions on all sorts of unnecessary stuff. Just the salaries of the coaches are absurd. They don't know what to do with all the money. And my proposal is paying players who have to play playoff games which is bonus money that didn't even exist a few years ago. Many FBS schools lose money on their football programs and still manage to have other sports. Anyway, I'm sorry for bringing this topic up again, it affects my enjoyment of CFB and I think about it all the time. No more from me on this.

  6. Right now the Brewers must have at least a 1/4-1/3 chance of getting to a tiebreaker on Monday. If the Brewers win 3/4 remaining games after tonight, the Cards would need 2/3 to avoid a tiebreak. That's not all that unlikely of a scenario.

  8. That fair weather fanbase is dying so fast and I am loving it. Would not be surprised if the White Sox have a better W/L record than the Cubs next year.

  10. The teams that are eliminated have been helping us much more than the ones that were still alive.

  12. Always preferable to control your own destiny...not fun watching this.

  14. This game has more strikeouts than total bases.
  15. You expected the Brewers to be tied at best with the Reds? I think we all knew tonight would be a tough one to win.
  16. This is going better than expected so far.
  17. For sure. All we heard last offseason was how they had all this "stupid money" to play with. I feel like this is karma. Most of the supposed 'improved' teams from offseason spending sprees missed the playoffs--and those contracts are only going to get worse with time. ESPN's expert consensus correctly predicted only 2 of the 6 division champions--despite the fact that only 2-3 of the 12 playoff teams will be different than 2018.
  18. Bryce Harper eliminated by the Nats in Nats Park. Ouch.
