  1. I agree with everything you said, but Green and Hairston are still not going to be major run producers. The 1-5 in the Brewers' lineup wins games, the 6-8 hitters contribute. Absolutely they should put the best lineup out every night. But I guess I don't think that the fate of the 2011 Milwaukee Brewers rests on that decision.
  2. I agree that McGehee and Yuni should be riding the pine, but I disagree that it will make a significant difference offensively. Marginal at best, not enough to change the fortunes of the club.
  3. While I understand the frustration about some of Roenicke's decisions, the Brewers' problem right now is a lack of situational hitting. The #6 and #7 hitter aren't helping, but the 5 best hitters on the team aren't doing anything either. Green isn't in because he is coming in for Weeks. So the only move that would be of any benefit is Hairston instead of Betancourt--which probably wouldn't have affected the current 1-0 score.
  4. I'm not a big fan of bunting, but seriously, it's the pitcher with a runner on 1st. All 16 NL managers are going to bunt there.
  5. There was only one out...but Betancourt was due up next. Do we really think Yuni could have gotten that run in?
  6. Inconclusive video evidence in my opinion. Looked out on one angle and safe on the other. Also, lets give Yuni the credit he is due, that was the second pitch that he bounced out on.
  7. The dynamic duo is still together, but at least Weeks moved them down a spot. If the Rockies are smart, Rickie will walk 4 times tonight :-)
  8. While I agree that it is at least a debatable topic, the difference between K-Rod and Axford is marginal. I can't blame Roenicke for using one over the other. But I can blame him for just trying a hit and run with Betancourt!
  9. Is there some matchup advantage or are you just saying that because K-Rod gave up a few baserunners?
  10. These are some huge, huge hits. If the result holds, they might go down as some of the biggest of the year.
  11. Phillies' announcers are not happy with Morgan's celebration.
  12. Maybe when their playoff odds get below 98%?
  13. Yo's pitching line is excellent today. Hopefully we can stop hearing about how he supposedly can't pitch in "big" games.
  14. Yo has been pitching well today, but you can't make those kind of mistakes up in the zone.
  15. Yo hurting himself with poor baserunning. Can't make those kind of mistakes against Philly.
  16. As bad as things are right now for the Brewers, the Braves are in much bigger trouble with the injuries to their pitching staff.
  17. Make that 0-6 with RISP. Can anyone get a big hit?
  18. That one should get Yuni another week of playing time http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
