  1. For the last few days, I have been thinking of the right words that would capture my feelings about the Brewers and their absolutely disgraceful performance on the road against the Pirates, Nationals, Cardinals, Reds, and other struggling franchises. I don't think there are even words that exist which reflect the level of disgust that I feel. My anger with this franchise is getting to a whole different level now. I don't want to hear any more nonsense about how Brewers management still can't figure out why we lose on the road. We have had this problem for three years now. It's YOUR JOB to figure it out. If Doug and Ned can't figure out why we lose so much on the road, then hire someone who can figure it out. But to just sit here and tolerate this ineptitude year after year is ridiculous. Don't tell me that we are in first place and there are still a lot of games to go. This team does not feel like a first place team and everyone knows it.
  2. Suddenly, I am starting to enjoy those Cincinnati walkoff wins. CUBS LOSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. "We need to find ways to score more runs. We're just making fly-ball out after fly-ball out. We need to make some adjustments." - Ned Yost I have never quite heard it put that way before, but it does sound interesting. Are any of the stats experts familiar with the correlation between fly ball hitting and run scoring? Is there any data on this subject? (unambigufied thread title)
  4. I have been to the old Busch Stadium which was right next to where the new one is. There seemed to be a decent amount of parking near the ballpark if you get there early enough. I also saw a few parking garages in the area. No chance on the tailgaiting though.
  5. Does this place count? http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/pnc403.jpg

  7. Already being discussed here . . . p092.ezboard.com/fbrewers...6098.topic
  8. Well, a little breathing room for now. Go Cardinals bullpen !!
  9. Let's get real here . . . these are the Brewers and this is a road series. They have shown no ability to perform to expectations on the road. They dropped series to the Reds, Nationals, and Pirates. I am not going to assume anything.
  10. I have mixed feelings on this topic. Part of me knows that players and management understand the concept of "peaks and valleys" much better than fans and media do. Yet, I can also see how the fans are passionate and want to see the same passion reflected out of their players. It does seem a little disheartening to lose some tough games and get the feeling that nobody in the clubhouse is upset (even though I am sure the truth is far from different). Truthfully, I have never been in a major league clubhouse and I don't really know whether having fiery personalities really helps. But I wouldn't mind a little energy and excitement now and then. As another poster mentioned, this team is very "vanilla". But yet we are still in first place (barely) . . so something must be working too. I don't know.
  11. Milwaukee is now a "Panic Zone" sportsillustrated.cnn.com...index.html
  12. It's very depressing that Ted Lilly is pitching so well for the Cubs and Jeff Suppan is getting lit up like a Christmas tree. Aren't they both making about the same money?
  13. I am tired of this team being stuck in neutral. I know we are in first and are well above .500, but I want to see some progress now. We always seem to hit a bump and fail to pull away. All these losses to bad teams on the road are getting so irritating. Why do guys have to underachieve every year? Bill Hall hit 35 homeruns last season and has really not gotten hot for too long all year. Jeff Suppan also needs to figure it out fast. All his walks, high pitch counts, and hits are just killing us. He is getting lit up so regularly now. Something stinks.
  14. Stupid managing by Ned. Prince has no speed and Jenkins whiffs a lot. Stupid, stupid, stupid. BOOOOOOOOOO !!!!
  15. It looks like Linebrink has been struggling lately . . . sandiego.padres.mlb.com/n...sp&c_id=sd
  16. How many years left on Linebrink's contract? How much is he making right now? What's his future status here?
  17. We won by about two feet. I'll take it. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/Uecker.gif
  18. I think the camera guy fooled us a little.
  19. Uh, when was the last time we won the World Series?
  20. Wow, some insurance in the 9th inning. I am not used to this http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. Honest question . . . When was the last time the Brewers got some insurance runs in the 9th inning? It's been a while folks.
  22. How did we not score with the bases loaded and nobody out against a terrible bullpen? http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/BagHead.jpg
  23. Can anyone remember the last time the Brewers swept a team on the road? It seems like it has been ages. On a related note, aren't we due to sweep a road series for a change? Most first place teams do that once in a while.
