  1. Oh Mass Effect!!!! The last time I was this excited for a video game was at the release of the Nintendo 64 console. I will wait in line for Mass Effect. Don't forget about Bio Shock, Fable 2, Resident Evil 5, Turok and the Halo games.
  2. I doubt that Bonds will play in this game if he is close to tying or breaking the record and that probably means ESPN won't brodcast it. I think they plan on doing live look-ins if Bonds is playing and they will likely brodcast a few games in SF when he is closer to the record.
  3. This is good for the Brewers. I think it's likely that Bonds will be sitting 2 games and maybe 3 because of the record. Being the only real threat in the Giants lineup, the Brewers will have an easier time getting some wins.
  4. I agree. Buy new when it comes to video game consoles. Also, I'd recommend the Premium package or the Elite package. If you buy a Core unit you are likely getting and older 360. Good luck and have fun, the 360 is a lot of fun.
  5. He's just managing to the situation a bit more because the team is in contention. Someone's going to have to explain this one to me. The Brewers have been in first place all season long, so I think that his use of the word "contention" is more of a reference to a division position versus time. It's no longer April and the Brewers no longer have an 11 game lead over the Cubs. In my opinion this is exactly why Yost has been more agressive with his moves. I think it's been pretty visible with his mound visits and his stance on benching players. How many visits to the mound did Mike Maddux make yesterday? I like Maddux and his hand on the shoulder talks seem to motivate some pitchers, but I'd bet players listen a lot closer when the vein in Yost's neck is popping out during a mound visit. Winning these close games at this point of the season is great to see and probably has a fair amount to do with how the game is being managed. What would we be discussing if Graffanino hadn't pinch hit and Weeks popped up to 2nd?
  6. After searching for combinations of "Wheatland", "California", and "Dogs playing poker" google couldn't save me.
  7. I graduated from Montana State University with a BS degree in Geohydrology and a minor in German. I currently work as a wellsite geologist for a company called Pason Systems. During college I had a good list of jobs. I set up concerts on campus for bands from Matchbox 22 to Phil Lesh and Friends. I did landscaping. I worked produce at an Albertsons. I worked at Staples. I sold my body to science for experiments. I worked at a newspaper stand. I worked at a cigar shop. I montiored water levels in water wells. This was all in 5 years and I'm probably leaving something off.
  8. The Homerun derby has really affected Matt Holiday's second half performance so far.
  9. Gameday has the speed and movement for all the pitches in this game. I knew they had these sensors set up at other ballparks, but I didn't think Miller Park had them. Are they new? I really like it.
  10. So if the Brewers are down 1 in the bottom of the 9th with a resting Fielder the only one left available, its ok for Counsell to take the last AB? Give Aaron Rowand a little more credit than that. Everyone expects that Pujols would have automatically won the game. He hasn't been that much better than Rowand this year.
  11. I watch reruns of Saved By The Bell every morning on TBS. Sometimes they show The College Years episodes. That's as bad as it gets for me. I usually change the channel to Mike and Mike in the Morning if I hear somebody coming into the living room.
  12. This is spun out of control and there is little or nothing that she can do about it. Is it time for her to embrace the publicity and maybe serve as an endorser and ambasador of her sport? Maybe she doesn't want the attention, and it will likely eventually go away, but wouldn't it be in her best interest to go along with what is happening? She could probably make a lot of money through endorsements. Self exploitation. Is it so wrong?
  13. I still want to see the movie bomb at Cannes.
  14. JJ already said he wouldn't do it. I would like to see Matt Holliday. I'll be the first to pick Morneau to win it.
  15. If you had told me at the beginning of the season that the Brewers would be where they are, I would have been very happy.
  16. The Brewers this year: Home 30-13 Road 19-24 The Brewers have 4 players going, plus Prince in the HR Derby. I'll be watching.
  17. Is this pink because Bush is on the mound? Wow that sounded dirty.
  18. I still haven't picked it up yet, but there are some good opinions in this thread.
  19. You'll probably have to wait a while longer for a price drop. At least until after Halo 3 and probably sometime next spring.
  20. I know a lot of people on here have experience and discussed the red ring of death with broken Xbox 360s. Recently Peter Moore announced that all red ring Xboxs will come with a three year warranty and free repairs. On top of that, if you had a red ring Xbox repaired in the past, you will be eligible for a refund of the costs. I applaud Microsoft for finally stepping up like this. I have owned my Xbox 360 since launch day almost 2 years ago without problems (knocks on wood) and there was always a sense that it would eventually fail. Now I can rest a little easier. To our Xbox Community: You've spoken, and we?ve heard you. Good service and a good customer experience are areas of the business that we care deeply about. And frankly, we've not been doing a good enough job. Some of you have expressed frustration with the customer experiences you have had with Xbox 360; frustration with having to return your console for service after receiving the general hardware error message on the console. The majority of customers who own Xbox 360 consoles have had a terrific experience from their first day, and continue to, day in and day out. But when anyone questions the reliability of our product, or our commitment to our customers, it's something I take very seriously. We have been following this issue closely, and with on-going testing have identified several factors that can cause a general hardware failure indicated by three flashing red lights on the console. To address this issue, and as part of our ongoing work, we have already made certain improvements to the console. We are also implementing some important policy changes intended to keep you in the game, worry-free. As of today, all Xbox 360 consoles are covered by an enhanced warranty program to address specifically the general hardware failures indicated by the three flashing red lights on the console. This applies to new and previously-sold consoles. While we will still have a general one year console warranty (two years in some countries), we are announcing today a three-year warranty that covers any console that displays a three flashing red lights error message. If a customer has an issue indicated by the three flashing red lights, Microsoft will repair the console free of charge?including shipping?for three years from the console?s purchase date. We will also retroactively reimburse any of you who paid for repairs related to problems indicated by this error message in the past. In doing so, Microsoft stands behind its products and takes responsibility to ensure that every Xbox 360 console owner continues to have a fantastic gaming experience. If we have let any of you down in the experience you have had with your Xbox 360, we sincerely apologize. We are taking responsibility and are making these changes to ensure that every Xbox 360 owner continues to have a great experience. This will take a few days to roll out globally, and I appreciate your continued patience as we launch this program. I've posted an FAQ that should address some additional questions, and we'll update it over the next few days. I want to thank you, on behalf of all us at Microsoft, for your loyalty. link This move is costing Microsoft billions of dollars.
  21. Yippee Kiayay M'er F'er I saw the movie and really enjoyed it. Old school Die Hard violence without the aid of computer CGI or futuristic weapons. In this movie his objective is way bigger (basically save the world) than the previous films. He dodges a lot more bullets and gets away with some crazy "a million to one" type of stunts and it all makes for a really enjoyable, get what you were hoping for, action film. The only part of the movie that made me cringe is when he said "the line".
  22. Oh Neifi say it isn't so. Perez apparetly tested positive for a banned stimulent and is facing a 25 game suspension. This is really going to affect the Tigers "Neifi Index". Link
  23. I've read The Tropic of Cancer and enjoyed it very much. I've also read Game of Shadows, which wasn't mentioned here and had mixed feelings about it. Unfortunately I can't get 100 Years of Solitude in my area. I had Hastings order it for me.
  24. Thanks. I plan on watching this sometime this next week. I would hope that this has some adult humor in it seeing that most of the audience is likely in their mid 20s, having grow up watching Transformers. Watching the previews, the plot (or possible lack of one) is what scared me because the visuals look pretty amazing. I dig your avatar btw.
  25. It's 4:40am and there is nothing I want more than to eat that pizza right now.
