  1. Yeah next time someone complains about the Brewers lack of spending, all you’ll have to do is look back at the 2023 Padres and Mets.
  2. He also has 13 walks to just 9 strikeouts so he’s clearly not overmatched. Just needs to start collecting hits which appears to be coming.
  3. Who do you WANT to see and who do you THINK we'll see? Black and Gasser would be cool but I think we'll see something like Owen Miller and Lauer. I think it will be a pitcher and an infielder.
  4. Doesn’t sound too promising for an Ashby return this year. I’d bring up Gasser.
  5. Yeah he reminds me of Frelick. Just has a knack for getting on base.
  6. I believe just about every team is in contention for a playoff spot with the exception of Wisconsin maybe?
  7. Chourio’s opposite field homerun was measured at 417 feet, btw. Not easy to do.
  8. It has to be Chourio’s age and his age alone that is still keeping him in AA at this point. To be honest, I was surprised he didn’t get promoted to Nashville around the same time Black was promoted. I wonder if they are content leaving him in Biloxi to finish out the season. Maybe he plays that final week in AAA after Biloxi’s season ends.
  9. The Padres are 6 games under .500 but carry a plus-62 run differential. I’m guessing they’ve had a few really big blowout wins and a bunch of 1 and 2 run losses. Such a strange team.
  10. Can we stop giving up two out homeruns please?
  11. William Contreras is so damn good.
  12. A ton of offense from Nashville tonight but Tyler Black is 0-3 and continues to struggle a bit. Still getting his walks and not striking out much but I’m impatiently waiting for him to start hitting like he was in Biloxi.
  13. That Cubs offense is annoyingly good. Ugh
  14. Was thinking we’d see Misiorowski tonight but Carlos Rodriguez is listed as the scheduled starter, which isn’t a bad thing at all.
  15. Any chance a guy like Yophery Rodriguez finishes out his season in Carolina? Or is that more likely to happen with the ACL guys like Pratt, Bitonti, etc?
  16. I’m not sure what our overall record is against the Twins the past 20 years or so but it can’t be great. Never like playing these guys.
  17. I could see Black being one of the September call ups. Him and Frelick’s on-base prowess would be fun to watch. He’s struggled a little bit the past few weeks but I see him being on the same trajectory as Mitchell was last year (Mitchell was promoted to AAA in early August and to Milwaukee a few weeks later).
  18. Black has been slumping for a few weeks now but I would love to see him get hot and get the call. His on-base skills and speed would fit in nicely with Frelick and the rest of the young guys.
  19. Are my eyes deceiving me or is Frelick out of the starting lineup again?
  20. Yeah Chourio has a hit. Other than that, not much to report so far.
  21. Tyler Black showing some signs of coming out of his funk. Couple more hits tonight including two RBI’s.
  22. Areinamo redeems himself with a double and RBI in his 3rd AB.
  23. I’m not very familiar with Texas. Who’s missing from their lineup?
