That would be quite the offseason if the Dodgers picked up Ohtani, Glasnow, Burnes and Yamamoto.

Yeah for sure but at some point, there simply won't be room on their roster for all of these prospects. They have an abundance of infield prospects and won't be able to keep everybody.

The Dodgers always seemed like the perfect landing spot for Burnes but it appears as though that ship has sailed. Time for the Orioles or someone else to step up.

Is it possible the Dodgers offered a similar package for Burnes and Adames and Arnold thankfully said no? Or is Glasnow and Margot not really a fair comparison to Burnes and Adames?

Can maybe scratch the Dodgers off the list of possible suitors for Burnes?

My fear is Arnold is being unreasonable in his asking price for one year of Burnes. I’m not saying get whatever you can but if I see the Dodgers or any of these other rumored teams go out and trade for Glasnow and Cease and Burnes is still a Brewer come OD, I’m going to assume the asking price was unreasonable and the Brewers weren’t motivated to trade him, which would be a mistake.

Going to be a LONG offseason of rumors and speculation surrounding Burnes.

Do we think this increases or decreases the odds of the Dodgers trading for Burnes or does it have no impact? Their lineup is deadly but their pitching still needs a lot of work.

Anybody venture a guess at the contract terms? I’d guess 10 years, $600 million which is absurd just thinking about it.

Or gets hurt. Or sucks the first half and loses all trade value. There aren’t too many good reasons I can think of to keep Burnes unless Arnold is getting just awful trade offers for him which is doubtful.

Yeah I wonder how much MLB spent to send all of these GM’s and executives to Nashville to do something that could have been done over the phone or Zoom.

Agreed. I get the feeling Mark A is in no hurry to hit the reset button yet, even though it’s fast approaching in 2025.
