    And I think that is Matt Arnold's philosophy too, even if Miller isn't a rental. It's fun to think about what the bullpen could be with Miller in it but you're probably right that they'd be much more likely to pursue Skubal.

    The Rattlers are struggling big time right now. They have not won a game since the all-star break and have scored nine runs in their last five games. Perhaps all of the promotions are finally catching up to them.

    Yeah they traded their top prospect at the time who is now the 2nd best prospect in baseball. We ain't trading Made.

    I could definitely get on board with trading for Miller and then going out and getting a SP who won't cost as much as Skubal. Someone like Wacha or Gausman if he would be willing to waive his NTC.

    Tough night offensively so far for everyone and Nashville got rained out.

    Also, the Dodgers traded for both Max Scherzer and Trae Turner in 2021 but ended up losing in the NLCS. I'm sure there are tons of other examples.

    Lucky you because you're gonna get to watch an absolutely loaded lineup with Dinges joining the team.

    Speaking of scouts, would have to imagine there will be some on hand to watch Hardin pitch tonight.

    Yeah I was absolutely convinced last year we were going to finally make an all in type trade at the deadline and we ended up with Lockridge and an injured reliever whose name I can't even remember. Until we actually do make a big move, I'm just going to assume it's another year of very minor trades.

    It's fun to think about those kinds of names but this front office wouldn't touch a trade like that with a ten foot pole.

    Offense was ugly again today but we got the win. How about an offense explosion against Colorado this weekend? That would be fun.

    Just another day at the office for Adamczewski. Double, homerun, two walks. Guy is a stud.

    I knew the top of our lineup has absolutely stunk but wow that is bad and not a small sample either. It's incredible we've won as many games as we have. Chourio and company have got to be better.

    Hopefully the Tigers can still win this one but man that Cubs offense is never out of a game.

    Bauers could stand to get a day or two off. Feels like he's struggling pretty good right now.

    Yelich's groundball rate has to be just insanely high. Almost everything is a grounder to the right side.

    If Fischer is not in Biloxi's lineup tomorrow night, I think that will be a pretty good indication an extension is in the works.

    Either something is up with Fischer or he's just trolling. Extension? Trade? Nashville-bound?

    The Cubs won but at least the Cardinals lost in the most brutal way possible (up 7-0 and gave up 8 unanswered).

    Yeah I'm usually not one to complain about lineups but was Murphy drunk when he put today's lineup together? Lara got one whole start post-Frelick injury before hitting the bench.
