  1. pathetic, are we honestly going to be beaten by the Peoria Cubs again?
  2. Like others on the board, I have been impressed with Sveum in his short tenure. Although some may question why Cameron is leading off, I agree veteran bats are needed at the top of the order to feed the bats of Braun and Fielder. His honest approach is something this often delirious team needed.
  3. I hope Durham stays with the team next season.
  4. I hope that we can make it out of this inning, and that will be the end for Soup.
  5. I just can't trust Suppan, I hope he can keep it up for one more inning. Go Marlins! 4-1
  6. Ichiro is a future hall of famer, one of my favourite ball players today.
  7. If for some strange reason the Mets don't resign Jerry Manuel, he would be my first choice for the Crew.
  8. I don't understand why McClung, and Parra aren't being used instead. This is not a prudent use of our best pitching prospect.
  9. 95 pitches on 3 days rest, I think that should be it for CC this evening.
  10. http://www.postcrescent.c...922/APC0101/80922139/1979 This will be great for both brewer and timber rattler baseball.
  11. Melvin's biggest flaw has been his relentless faith in a clueless manager for the last five years. I just don't understand how an individual who can evaluate baseball talent cannot do the same with a manager.
  12. Packers, I hope it doesn't get ugly.
  13. I have a feeling the team will resign sheets, but CC is off to New York. Sheets Yo Parra Bush Suppan still a good rotation, but I don't think we will ever see as good of a brewer rotation with both CC and Sheets.
  14. It shouldn't be Yost, but if the Crew makes the playoffs, I gurantee he wins. I just hope the team won't sign him long term, but they probably will considering he has been the manager for a long time as it stands.
  15. If the Bullpen is Melvin's biggest failure, he has done a pretty good job. We all knew Gagne was a risk, Torres and Shouse have been excellent, Mota is having his best year at 2004, and Riske has been disappointing. Free Agency is never a good way to put a bullpen together, and barring the surcumstances, I think Melvin did pretty well.
  16. I think it would be wise for the Brewers to sign Barry, a true batting professional who could DH for us if we made the World Series. I also think the young players would benefit from such a positive batting role model (as an athlete, of course). A .480 OBS his last season for the minimum? I am aghast that he remains unsigned.
  17. 1. Weeks, Durham 2b 2. Hardy SS 3. Braun LF 4. Prince 1B 5. Hart RF 6. Cameron CF 7. Hall, Gamel 3B 8. Kendall C I don't think we will see much change, and really why would we want to?
  18. This week has been a dl nightmare for fantasy baseball players. Never like to see a team down, it does seem to mean however, that Jim Edmonds will remain in center field.
  19. While I believe that the Packer - Bear rivalry has been eclipsed by the Packer - Viking rivalry in Wisconsin, I don't know if this is true for baseball. But at the same time, I don't think the Cubs consider the Brewers their rivals in comparison with Saint Louis, so perhaps your on to something with the Twins Brew Crew rivalry.
  20. Good for Seth, the Braun pitch was inexcusable.
  21. Come on prince, terrible at bat. Branyan batting 5th? yikes.
  22. Lets hope Rickie on the DL would spur a trade for Roberts, he would drastically improve the Crew.
  23. I wish, with Roberts the brewers could actually have a shot at the playoffs. I no longer believe Rickie is anything else than an average to below average major league player.
