  1. You don't get much better then the Brewer's 3, 4, 5 in the national league. Combined with a stellar bullpen and better coaching and strategy I think this team is in position to win the division.
  2. AL C: J. Mauer 1B: J. Morneau 2B: I. Kinsler SS: J. Bartlett 3B: E. Longoria OF: C. Crawford OF: Junior OF: J. Bay SP: Z. Greinke RP: J. Nathan NL C: B. McCann 1B: A. Pujols 2B: C. Utley SS: H. Rameriez 3B: D. Wright OF: R. Ibañez OF: R. Braun OF: J. Upton SP: Santana RP: Broxton Brewers on the Team: Braun, Fielder, Hoffman Call me a sap, but I want to see Ken Griffey Junior start in what is likely his final all-star game and season. Otherwise I would put in Hunter.
  3. I think Hunter Pence will win a MVP award in his career. I also fear that Volquez and Cueto may be both legit #1s. Hopefully Dusty doesn't ruin them.
  4. Everything seems to be falling apart sense the loss of Weeks. I hope Parra is sent out for another inning.
  5. I completely agree. I would like to see him in the bullpen, hopefully we can pick up a SP to replace him in the rotation.
  6. Are you kidding? With the offense the rest of the team produces, we can dedicate our catcher toward lowering the era of our pitching staff.
  7. 4 @ FLA (2-2) 3 @ ATL (1-2) 3 vs COL (3-0) 3 vs CWS (2-1) 3 @ CLE (2-1) 3 @ DET (1-2) 3 vs MIN (1-2) 3 vs SF (2-1) 3 vs NYM (2-1) 16 - 12, hopefully the club can pick up a 2b such as Felipe Lopez. I feel the club has been in disarray since the loss of Weeks.
  8. I like Lou's comments on the event. The Cubs, always a soap opera. http://mlb.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?content_id=4763533
  9. Although many people anticipate that Prince will be traded after the end of his two year contract for pitching depth, I for one think the Brewers should attempt to lock Prince up for an additional four or five years. We have beautiful thing going on between Braun and Fielder at the heart of our order, I honestly think they have one of the best 3 / 4 combos in the National League, with only Utley and Howard and the Dodgers with Manny as comparable offensive threats. I would like to see the Braun Fielder combo for years to come, as I think their offense will keep as as a playoff contending team. I just don't want to see this team resign lesser talents such as Hardy and Hart and watch Prince leave town in his prime.
  10. I am expecting an intense series, I want the Crew to takeit to Larussa and company, pitching around Pujols when possible.
  11. I am not convinced Nelson is MLB player, even as a Bench role. Bring back Ray Durham!
  12. Just another reason to be glad that Yost is gone. Macha and company certainly seem to be getting more out of players, although Hardy and Kendell are struggling.
  13. I love the world baseball classic, I enjoy watching other countries' baseball cultures, particularly of Japan. I agree with Bankjob, this tourney is for worldwide audiences.
  14. I like this deal for the Os, topping off a strong off season for the club.
  15. This made me think we found great Value in the Fielder signing. Or maybe I just overvalue Fielder...
  16. Man, thats not an imposing lineup. I just don't think either Parra or Gallardo will through at the level of other 1s and 2s across the league. I am fine with with Bush, Looper, and Soup pitching in the final three spots. If only we could acquire Peavy, then we could be serious World Series contenders.
  17. I love Durham, he was a savior pickup after the fall of Weeks. I find it incrediolous that we would pay Council a mil, while not offer a contract to Durham. He would be a great pinch hitter, and backup plan if Weeks declines.
  18. who cares, baseball is the most crooked of the professional sports and the league practically encouraged it during the home run chases of the early 2000s to recover from the strike. Does this mean that people will regard Griffey Junior as the best clean player of the age?
  19. I like this deal. I find Looper's stats from his years as a closer intriguing . Lets trade Gwynn to the Padres, god knows they could use the marketing ploy.
  20. I hope bad economic times bring a salary cap to baseball. This offseason, the elite few ball players have cashed in while the many remain looking for work.
