  1. Fielder probably has 1 AB left as a Brewer; I guess that is worth watching for (Especially the fan reaction) There are also other Brewers who I hope will have or have had there last ABs today; but I'll save that for Hot Stove Talk.
  2. What makes this situation even worse is that Prince has given the Cards homefield advantage in the World Series. God I hope Texas just pounds them; don't think I will be able to watch though
  3. I guess I don't have a huge issue with how RR used the bullpen today. Narveson had looked pretty good recently and Loe was facing only righties. The Cardinals have simply not missed anything. I wonder if Marcum is even back next year; I mean he is "That Guy" now. I am going to be so pissed if it comes out after the playoffs that he was hiding an injury
  4. The Brewers are staying just close enough to give me some hope; but deep down I know it just ain't happening. I still consider it to be a pretty awesome season; crappy ending notwithstanding. It will hurt for a bit but in about a week I will be eager to get the World Series over with so the Hot Stove season can begin.
  5. So you use them ahead of Loe; you are still going to have to find someone to pitch the 7th inning on assuming the game is even relevant at that point. Loe was a fine pick, he had a bunch of righties coming up. I am just numb to everything right now; like it really matters who RR puts out there. The last two games have been embarrasing.
  6. I want to turn off the TV so bad but I just can't force myself to do it
  7. IF, IF, they should lose, I want to see the fans give the Brewers a standing ovation for an amazing year losing a game doesn't constitute a standing ovation. That is the loser mentality that has plagued this franchise for it's entirety and it needs to be washed away. Fire Melvin.....he's an idiot that doesn't have a clue on how to assemble a championship ball club. Is this suppose to be in Blue? You don't get fired for putting together a team that got within 2 game of the World Series. A couple good pitching performances in the NLCS and people would have been begging for an extension. Melvin did a great job of putting together a championship caliber team
  8. If we don't come back I guess I would rather lose this way than on a heartbreaker in the 9th. The Cardinals offense and bullpen have been unstoppable this series. At some point we just have to tip the cap and admit we got beat by a better team that was playing really well at the right time while we played poorly at the wrong time
  9. I just don't understand how our pitching can be so good for so long and then just fail miserably in the playoffs. We should be amazed we made it to Game 6 of the NLCS; we have had exactly two good starts in the entire postseason
  10. The Cardinals have been tatooing everything; this is insane
  11. I mean really what is RR even suppose to do at this point? Every pitcher he has tried has failed miserably
  12. That is the farthest he has ever hit a ball. Hopefully buy another inning or two out of Narvy now
  13. Can Melvin even bring back Marcum next year at this point? I mean he is that guy now. Try trading him now though and we won't get crap. Probably needs TJ again
  14. Well is the offense going to go for the 6 run HR everytime out now or are we actually going to be patient and crawl our way back in this?
  15. Today is taking too long. Would have rather they just played at 3. Still got a good feeling; but getting more anxious by the second. I really believe that if we win today we will win tomorrow; but today is going to be difficult. The good Marcum has to show up
  16. I sure hope they are embarrased after this display. The post game presser with RR should be something worth watching. Good news is that we won't have to watch this pathetic away baseball again until Game #3 of the World Series.................. Or next April
  17. Well I think we can beat Jackson on Sunday; Marcum and the defense might decide otherwise. It just seems wrong that this series has followed the home field advantage course; yet the home team has to play from a hole going home. I'll try to stay optimistic; really we only have to win one home game to force a winner take all. Certainly doable. Who knows maybe Jackson will wet the bed and Marcum will figure something out. Baseball is funny that way.
  18. I am optimistic here; but the way they are playing today only tells me they will find a way to screw this up here
  19. Grienke has done the job today; if only the defense hadn't let him down
  20. Nice and pathetic. Are we going to go another 4 innings without getting a hit off of the bullpen again?
  21. Still have 4 more innings against an overworked bullpen. They have to make them work though; no swinging for the fences at every pitch
  22. Still in the game here; sooner or later one of these Cardinal relievers is gonna crack. ZG just needs to hold them here
