  1. Dbacks definitely finding the holes today that they weren't in MIL. Still in the drivers seat; Wolf and Saunders is probably a pretty even matchup
  2. I guess that wasn't a horrible pitch there but cripes I just don't have a whole lot of confidence in Marcum right now Get Saunders tomorrow
  3. Something has to give here. Marcum is awesome on the road and the Brewers can't hit Collmenter a lick. My gut tells me that the Brewers figure the guy out today. A come out of nowhere rookie starting a do or die playoff game; smells like disaster to me http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. While not identical situations; Marcum could pull a Suppan and exhorbintantly increase his value with a good postseason thereby forcing a team to way overpay for him. Obviously Soup was a FA after the season but you get my point. Either way Marcum should net a legitimate prospect in return; you probably couldn't get a Lawrie type for him again since he only has a year left before FA but I would think we could still get a real solid return. That being said I don't think I want to trade him at all. I love the guy.
  5. However if the Philles had somehow tied it the Cards would have been screwed in extra innings. They basically had no one left. I will be very interested to see how the rest of that series goes. I think the Phils still eventually win but the Cards are going to make it tough on them. The Cards are so hot right now; I wouldn't be very confident in beating them 4 out of 7 right now in the NLCS even with homefield advantage.
  6. Check out the yahoo Sports MLB Blog. Great picture there
  7. Well that certainly isn't how I remembered it. I recall a number of pitches well outside the box that were called strikes and not really all that many the other way around. I don't think they were hitters umpires at all.
  8. Like I said in the game thread; I sure hope Gibson has just soiled himself in these playoffs and didn't manage like this the entire year. Dbacks have been a great story this year but both the team and the manager appear to be way over their heads so far in these playoffs. RR has managed beautifully in these first two games. In hindsight maybe Grienke should have just gone in Game #3 but there was very solid logic behind giving him the ball yesterday. Hairston has paid huge dividends and he got the huge rally started yesterday with the perfectly executed squeeze. He is pushing all the right buttons right now. Hopefully his next problem is making sure the team stays ready after a 4-5 day layoff.
  9. In there defense; why bother paying for a ticket on Wednesday for a game that won't even happen http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Still pretty sad though; Milwaukee is a pretty special place though, most mid to smaller markets probably would have a tougher time selling out than the Brewers. Didn't Cincy cut it pretty close last year?
  10. Those guys over there are railing on today's strike zone again. The strike zone was the same for both teams ya know.............. The home plate umpires for both yesterday and today were definitely pitchers umpires; and certianly weren't screwing over the Dbacks. The strike zone was low yesterday and Gallardo took full advantage; certianly not his problem. And I didn't really notice any major issues with the strike zone today either. Personally I think the TBS Pitch Track graphic is a little tight which makes the borderline strikes look 3 inches outside
  11. If Gibson wins MOY that is a joke. I hope he wasn't this bad the previous 162 games. Left Ziegler in about 4 batters to long
  12. I think Yo has to go out for the 8th; less than 90 pitches and has been dominant. Krod can be wild at times; leave the hot guy in there unless we get a couple of runs here
  13. Baseball is funny. If Yuni has a big postseason he could be a savior in WI and all could be forgiven (Well as long as we don't have to see him next year)
  14. I just get the feeling that one more run will be enough to win today. Of course Yo might not give up anything either but would love another one
  15. A run is a run I guess; that bottom of the order to going to have to do something eventually though
  16. Yo is dialed in and has his pitch count in really good shape. Come 3-4-5 break through for a run or two!!
  17. Darn, I thought Luc hit it harder than that. Atleast we made him throw some pitches
  18. I am geeked out and have been looking at the clock every 5 minutes. This morning is taking forever. I am confident excited but I still can't get the thought out of the back of my head that they are just going to come out and choke. A couple early runs today will make me feel better.
  19. It seems obvious to me. Show up at the parking lot at 5 PM tonight; you should probably be close enough to the front to get in http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  20. Green over Wilson is really a no brainer. We have plenty of coverage in the IF and Green obviously adds more offensive value. It also sounds that Grienke is going to start Game #2 but RR won't declare him the starter until he comes through today's workout OK. RR also hasn't named a 3B starter but Hairston seems like a no brainer at this point. I am guessing McGehee will start against Saunders and that is it unless Hairston just stinks up the joint in Game #1
