  1. If it were me I think I would have gone with 7 serving of cheese curds and ditched all the other food. Maybe a slice of pizza to fill the italian portion of my food pyramid.
  2. Seems like a crap for crap trade that was essentially pointless. Definitely feels like Hendry made a trade just to make a trade. Baker can't carry Freel's jock strap and Freel isn't really any good either.
  3. Well it certianly doesn't bode well for this weekend, 3 of the 4 are during the day and they are all against good pitchers. They got a little unlucky today but it is pretty natural as fans to get frustrated after we just go shut down by Mike Pelfrey. It also just so happens that many day games are also the last game of a series and it seems like the Crew has trouble "closing out" sweeps. I am not sure if the fact that it is a day game is the issue or if the Crew just relaxes to much knowing they have already won the series. Given the hard hit balls though, I would say we would normally win this game 7 times out of 10. It just so happens that today was a day that those liners were right at someone
  4. I assume you meant ground the at bat out? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. Well Krod gets to meet Braun & Fielder next inning. Mike freaking Pelfrey just shut us down.
  6. Well that 3rd inning helped his pitch count a bit. 52 through 3 isn't terrible. He should be able to go 6-7 I would think. Man I love Gallardo, he is my new favorite Brewer after the departure of Sheeter.
  7. They are in 4th place, but NY and PHilly have also sucked for a while now and I doubt the Braves are anywhere near sell mode yet. Especially since they just made a win now move in McClouth. Baltimore, Cleveland, KC, Oakland, Washington, SD, and Arizona are the only teams really out of it right now and there is a reason those teams are out of it, for the most part their pitching sucks. There a couple pitchers like Cliff Lee or Guthrie that are intruging. Maybe Brian Bannister is another option. He got rocked in 2 consecutive starts (15 ER in 8 2/3 innings) and still has an ERA near 4. Not sure what his contract situation is though
  8. I thought it was real classy that the Knicks fans booed their own pick and then decided to ruin Pyscho T's dream night by chanting over-rated as soon as he got picked. It also sucked that none of the Marquette 3 got drafted. I don't know why McNeal wasn't drafted
  9. So the Bucks are now contemplating a Ridnour for Stackhouse swap with Stackhouse being bought out? And it is "highly unlikely" that Villanueva will be back. What is Hammond trying to do? Does he think he can sign LeBron James or Dwayne Wade next year or what? If Ridnour is traded I would ahve to think that Session would be brough back for sure and a PG would probably be taken. Of course if they don't keep Kurt Thomas then they have a huge hole at PF.
  10. Jeez how the heck did they get so many picks? If they don't trade #6 they are going to have 4 of the top 28 picks? That is ridiculous.
  11. Its about time that Braddock gets challenged. Just another ho hum 2 inning, no hit, no walk, 4 strikeout performance
  12. We are still only 1.5 games out of 1st, The Crew is in a bad stretch right now but we have a ton of home games before the break so I am confident the ship will be righted fairly quickly. OUr entire rotation is in a slump right now, count me in the campt that believes that this can't last forever The Cardinals and Cubs just aren't good enough right now to completely run away with the division. I think the Crew would have to be at least 7 games out at the trading deadline to not at least contemplate a trade to make a run at the division.
  13. If we knew for sure that we could get in a 9 inning game I would be fine starting this sucker back up again. But the umps darn well know that they would be lucky to get 2 innings in again before the game gets called. This obviously gives the Brewers less time to make up the 3 run differential.
  14. I am not so sure that they are going to be able to restart this game tonight, which would obviously benefit the Crew. My uneducated guess is that this rain sticks around for the rest of the night and this game is wiped off of the books. Freaking Braden Looper, how many gopher balls can a guy give up?
  15. Perez has to be the worst loogy on the planet. Cubs get to face their old pal Kerry Wood in the 9th. It will be intersting to see how that plays out. I wonder if he will get an ovation despite coming on for a save against the Cubs?
  16. I just realized that the Brew plays 15 of their last 22 games left before the All Star Break at home. How about build on the last series and maybe get to 15 over before the All Star Break? That would be fun. We are playing some tough teams at home though. I have a good feeling about tonight, bad feeling about Saturday and Sunday. It looks like Detroit will get wet just like Wisconsin but the rain looks like it may hold off till 10 or so.
  17. Harden hasn't been especially good this year. Of course neither has Soto, Fontenot, Soriano, Marmol, Gregg, Dempster, and up until very recently Lee and Bradley. I know they are going to be 1 under after today, but I will still be shocked if they don't end up with 85-90 wins
  18. I'll 2nd the responses in this thread. How many fastballs that are hittable pitches right down the middle of the plate can Hall swing through before he realizes he need to change his approach, change his stance, or just become a pitcher? I wish I could find a stat, but I would imagine Hall swings and misses a ridiculous amount on fastball strikes. I also would rather watch Gamel take his lumps out there rather than watch Hall flail away all the time while knowing that he has no future on this team after 2010.
  19. It is also nice to see that Hall still knows how to admire his home runs. Way to walk out of the box when that ball only made the first 1 oer 2 rows. I mean I like that he hit the HR but jeez a man that sucks as much as him right now should be admiring his home runs. He would have been a dead duck at 2nd if that ball hit the top of the wall.
  20. Hall is just absolutely worthless if he can't play above average defense. That was a terrible play and he got lucky just getting the one out
  21. Geez, Anundsen is like God in cleats. Man I am getting excited about the pitchers we have right now. Between him and Braddock I don't know which man crush is bigger at this point. Plus their are plenty of other guys to get excited about too. All of a sudden are farm system looks stronger in pitching than hitting.
  22. There is just no way that Parra can get another start is there? There are at least 5 guys down in AAA that could come in and at least give us a 5 ERA
  23. So who the heck is the fallback option if he still hasn't been mentioned in this thread? Based on teams that are out of contention (Or Close to it) Orioles - I can't imagine any of their starters are on the block Royals - Gil Meche?, Brain Bannister? A's - Not really anything worth getting Indians - Cliff Lee (Mentioned), Pavano Nationals - Doubt they are trying to trade any starters since their SP already sucks so bad Astros - Oswalt Pirates - Snell, Gorzo D backs - Sharpie, Haren (Mentioned), Garland Rockies - Cook Of course this could also be a contending team with an abundance of SP as well (Red Sox). I can't imagine the Sox would trade any of their top 4.
  24. So this game is suppose to be in HD tonight huh? Screw you Dish Network, this is at least the 5th or 6th time that they haven't carried the HD signal
  25. Obviously I don't have a good feeling about todays game, moreso because of Parra than Hanson. I am expecting Hanson to be good but I think we'll get a couple runs off of him. The question is if Parra can keep this offense that is in a big slump under 10 runs today. If Parra were to give up 5+ runs to this Braves team today I would not be all that suprised if he is demoted to the bullpen or AAA to work on location. What is the over/under on Hanson K's today? I am going to go with 8
