  1. It seems obvious to me that he needs to get some AB's down in AAA in order to get his swing back. He hasn't looked good at all with a ton of K's. I am not sure who would call up to fill the corner OF reserve spot though. Let him go down for 2-3 weeks to get some consistent AB's and then bring him back. I feel bad for the guy, he waited so long to get a chance and now he can't even make contact. Speaking of OF reserves, has Chris Duffy died? It seems like he is getting the back up catcher disease. He hasn't gotten an AB in over a week. What is going on there?
  2. Getting the same thing with Dish, so it looks to be a WMLW/FSN problem
  3. Dish Network is carrying it, usually Dish is the one that screws up. I would guess Direct TV would be carrying it. But I will not complain about Dish for once. Maholm is a darn good pitcher, but the Crew crushes lefties. I guess I wouldn't be suprised if Maholm shuts us down nor would I be suprised if we knock him around. Should be an interesting game and another chance to get back to .500
  4. If that really is the case, the Pirates are the dumbest people alive. That was a game winning homer in the middle of a pennant race. Braun should have been able to do whatever the heck he wanted in that situation. Interesting that Braun thinks Karstens was forced to do it, Karstens did look pretty uncomfortable after the pitch and really tried not to make eye contact with him. Sort of awkward
  5. But he is right in this instance, he didn't hot dog the HR or anything. There really was no reason to plunk him, heck maybe if Rickie had hotdogged his HR the prior inning it would have made sense but no one on the Crew showed anyone up on the Pirates
  6. Damn. Braun does really tell it like it is. Maybe they hit someone tonight, maybe they don't, but I wouldn't be suprised if a guy or two goes in really hard at 2nd if the situation arises. Hopefully Braun takes out some of that anger on Paul Maholm. I guess I don't know Macha's managerial style and if he is into retaliation or not. Since they hit our best player we might as well hit there best. The problems is that I don't know who that is. It wouldn't be cool at all if they plunked Maholm, maybe they hit Sanchez or LaRoche in their posterior.
  7. Dish Network has it tonight #444
  8. So who would we bump the rotation? I guess with the performances on this road trip, I am a little more content with the rotation. That is unless Melvin would actually demote Suppan to the bullpen, then I would be all for this move. I suppose sending Parra to AAA to figure out his command might be another option. But if Parra figures it out you still have to find a way to get him back in the rotation.
  9. Just an FYI for Dish Network users. Today's game (Saturday) was also not going to be shown in HD for Dish customers. However enough people must have complained last night because the game tonight will now be shown in HD
  10. I like the story. It also warms my heart to see that every move Hendry made in the offseason has been an utter failure in the first month of the season. Bradley, Miles, and Gathrait have all sucked, Dempster hasn't been the Dempster of last year thus far. I still think they are going to miss DeRosa a ton. But Bradley has been by far the biggest failure, he already can't stay on the field and when he does he is hitting 043/290/464. The is failure of epic proportions so far. And of course they don't have DeRo to sub in for him while he is out 50 games this year because of lingering injuries. This Cubs team still has a ton of talent and should win the division but I think their is a scenario where they just utterly fall apart and a crappy Milton Bradley is part of that scenario
  11. Bunch of Punch N Judy's They are wussies but I'll take the runs. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif That inning would have looked a lot nicer in HD though
  12. I am in their online chat complaing like crazy right now. Maybe if enough people complain they'll try to stop screwing up all the time
  13. Well what the heck, game is in HD tonight and I can't find the HD feed on any of the Dish Network ALT channels. This sucks.
  14. I should have mentioned getting Bogut and Redd back but I still don't see them being any better than a perenial 6-8 seed. Bogut and Redd have also been on the last 2 Bucks teams and they were terrible as well, its not like the makeup of the team changed in 2009 compared to 2007-2008. If the entire team stays healthy the entire year I can maybe see 45 wins or so, but that is about it. With a healthy roster, Boston, Cleveland, Orlando, Miami are definitely better and we would be on par with Detroit, Chicago, Philly, and maybe a couple others.
  15. I think one thing is for certain, whatever player they draft at #10 will not instantly make the Bucks a contender. Yeah maybe with the right parts they can get into the playoffs as a 6,7, or 8 seed but with the roster they have I jusrt don''t see how they can compete with Orlando, Cleveland, and Boston in the East. They need a difference maker who is not going to be there at #10. Couple that with the likely loss of either CV or Sessions and Hammond still has a lot work to do to get this team back above .500.
  16. We are loser Brewer fans now? Is that ban hammer worthy? Jeesh. None of the guys we have traded to SD have done squat yet. And no Eveland is just not very good at all, and it is probably telling that you have no idea who he was traded for.
  17. Has Mitch Stetter actually ever hit in a game to actually use a batting helmet? The helmet could be one of a kind!!!
  18. I always wanted one of those sweet tailgaiting grills that you can actually put on a truck hitch. But I would be too afraid to bring it to tailgate for this very reason. A expensive piece of equipment like that is almost guaranteed to get stolen. I have always brough cheap charcoal grills and I usually hide it under my car when I go in, I have never had it stolen. But I agree that people that does this stuff are the scum of the earth. Does Miller Park have security and cameras out in the parking lots during the games? Perhaps if enough people complain about their stuff getting stolen that the Brewers would take some preventative measures.
  19. I'll try to keep this from getting religous but I might nominate "Passion of The Christ" only because it the only movie ever made where I really had a hard time watching it. I liked Jurassic Park at the time but the stupid sequels kind of ruined it for me. I would also agree with Toy Story, I can't remember exactly when it came out but I was pretty stunned that they could make a movie like that.
  20. I had to watch Pyscho in my college film history class and it was an extremely well done film. I had never seen it up to the point and I will say that it was a brilliant movie and the ending did catch me a little offguard. Citizen Kane was the only other one we watched on that list. Interestingly the other movie we watched in that class was Fargo. Obviously quite the contrast from the other 2.
  21. DeFelice has been awfully impressive, dare I say SP worthy?
  22. Why is every pitcher on this team so completely incapable of throwin strikes? Especially with guys on base. This is getting ridiculous. Every single pitcher is trying to pitch to fine right now. Incredibly frustrating
  23. I will congratulate myself for calling that Kendall was going to get a hit today. I actually said 2 hits so hopefully that still happens
  24. What is with Hart walking all of a sudden? I like it I am just not used to it.
  25. I was initially thinking about sticking my excess cash into some kind of safe short term account, but short term CD's rate are crazy low and money markets aren't much better. I just assumed I am better off just paying extra on my mortgage in order to eliminate some of that interest cost. My interest rate is 5.5%, I closed in February. I didn't have a whole lot of money down, so the bank increased my rate a little. By paying extra on my monthly mortgage I figure it is an easy way to start saving money for a DP on our final more expensive house. If I saved it I would be afraid I would spend it on something far less important than a house I will live the rest of my life in. If I prepay my mortgage and save maybe $200 a year in interest cost, that is far more "savings" than any interest bearing account would give me.
