  1. Pacific. And it has been lowered even further to 20% from 1-4 so I think there is a good bet the game will be played. Just looking at the radar without having any experience in weather forecasting I would say the rain is going to pass within the hour
  2. The rain chance just dropped to 45% for 1 PM, 25% for 2 PM, and 35% for 3PM so maybe their is a chance? The rain chance is 100% for 4 PM. 3. I think it is a pretty good assumption that the game won't be started on time and probably won't be played. The hour by hour forecast has a 90-100% chance of rain starting at 11 AM SF time going all the way to 5 PM SF time and atleast a 60% chance for the rest of the day. Looks like a pretty good chance of a DH tommorrow on the 2nd day of the season. I guess if you are going to have a DH you might as well have one when everyone is fresh. Of course it is torture to the fans that were so excited to have baseball today and now have to wait an additional day (Not to mention the posters who have tickets and have vacation for todays game)
  4. I just checked my guide for tommorrow and it is not showing the game as being available in HD.
  5. Geovany Soto will not be as good as he was last year. If they lose the division Lou Pinella will be canned. It would be a miracle if they didn't win the division
  6. I was just about to come and post this. 115 pitches in opening day is just insane, and the media wonder why fans rip on him so bad for his Chicago days. If he lets Volquez or Cueto throw that many pitches in their first starts he should just be fired on the spot. The only reason he was in there was that Dusty was trying to get him through 5 innings so he could possibly get a win. The fact that he through 115 in 5 innings is even worse.
  7. Then they promptly have a 6 pitch inning
  8. Is it my TV or is ESPN's HD signal completely messed up? I was home at lunch trying to watch the CIN/NY game but the HD signal was terrible, the screen was blurred most of the time. ALl my other HD's were working just fine. I am not sure what to make of this Cincy team. They always seem like a team ready to breakout but something always holds them up. If Volquez and repeat his performance from last year and Cueto improves, they have a dangerous pitching staff.
  9. Well Yankee Stadium has a lot more history than Wrigley Field does and they still decided to build a new one. Wrigley Field is Wrigley Field largely because of the sorrounding atmosphere and of course the ivy, I don't think too many people actually likes the stadium itself. They like the look of the ivy on the outfield wall and they like the party atmosphere. If they could replicate the atmosphere at a new location I am all for it, and I guess even if they don't replicate the whole game day experience it would probably be more bearable for all fans other than 20 something drunk Cubs fans.
  10. Kinda sucks that every team plays their opener either Monday or Sunday night but the Brewers and Giants have to wait until Tuesday afternoon. Stupid Giants
  11. Riske is going to be a thorn in my side the entire year. He is probably a lock to be the bullpen whipping boy this year who gets booed non stop at Miller Park.
  12. I don't have any kids yet but I will soon enough and I am terrified. I have no experience whatsoever. My wife was born to be a good mom though so I have that going for me. I occasionally help my wife watch the kids she nanny's for and I freak out after a couple hours usually. A little girl (About 4) insists on saying the correct term for male genetalia in every other sentence. I get all blushy every time she says it, it just doesn't seem right.
  13. The Under on San Diego might be a pretty good bet. That team has potential to be a monumentally awful team.
  14. I think you are a little optimistic with 92-95 wins, I think 85-88 is more like it although I would give them about a 10% chance of passing 90 wins. If the offense plays likes its capable and the pitching holds up the Crew will almost certainly be over 81.5 wins. There would have to be Gallardo/Parra injuries to make me think we can't win 82 games
  15. I will be at work getting nothing accomplished from approximately 3 PM until I leave at 5PM. I will speed home hopefully in time to catch the end of Brewer win #1. Repeat for Friday. Normally I would take vacation and veg out in front of the TV but I already used too much of my vacation this year
  16. Those are some big numbers to put into that AAA lineup. Unless Fielder gets hurt he will never see Milwaukee I would guess. And even then I would guess Nelson would be the fill in.
  17. The Cost of Living in Milwaukee is also a lot less than most other MLB cities so it would make sense for goods and services to be cheaper. I would guess that if you take our concession prices and make a cost of living adjustment they are probably about equal if not more expensive than in most other cities. The fact that they allow containers in the stadium is a good deal though.
  18. Fielder is just crushing the ball so far this year, a far cry from his pretty weak performance in spring training last year. Hopefully it carries over. The longer Ryan goes without getting a hit the more I worried I will be that his problems are worse than what he has let on.
  19. Suppan is getting my hopes up for this upcoming season. If he could post a sub 4.5 ERA this year I would be extremely happy, but I guess I am just hoping he break 5. He has had a pretty respectable Spring so far without knowing any spring training stats besides ERA.
  20. Why aren't there more pictures in this thread?
  21. Is it just me or Does Brad Nelson look a bit like Mike McCarthy? Haren is throwing a ton of pitches, that seems to be a good sign
  22. I'll 2nd this complaint. I don't even have MLB Network and Dish Network wasn't carrying the game. I was looking forward to seeing Looper and most of the regulars for the first time this year but nope someone somewhere dropped the ball last night. I hope we don't have any repeat occurences in the regular season. I am sure as soon as FSN decided to carry a Bucks game over a Brewers game I will once again get pissed.
  23. I just talked with Dish Network, it sounds like they are not carrying the game. I keep telling them FSN is broadcasting it but they insist that it isn't on the schedule
  24. I have Dish Network and the game still isn't showing up in the guide. I am afraid something is messed up. I got the 1st spring training game on FSN I don't know why this one wouldn't be on
  25. www.rotoworld.com So where does he end up?. Kind of feel bad for the guy since he was such a good Brewer during our terrible stretch but at least he got a ring. (offset quote --1992)
