  1. The general consensus at least at this point is that next year's draft class is not going to be as strong. A lot to be determined though because literally 7 of the 8 top guys are High School seniors right now. If anyone cares Dekker and Kaminsky are rated in the 20's for next year. Trading down this year wouldn't be a terrible idea so long as you aren't trading down lower than 10th and you better pick up an unprotected 2015 first rounder. I would rather just stay put though. Even with Wiggins or Parker this year the Bucks will probably still have a Top 10 pick next year. They aren't one player way but another high pick next year and perhaps they can get lucky with one of the 3 2nd rounders this year.
  2. Embiid, Parker, Wiggins, and Exum are the clear cut top 4. Julius Randle and Marcus Smart could also be really solid NBA players; after that it is a little hit or miss. The Bucks are more than one player away. If someone wants to trade up into the 2 spot and is willing to give up a pick in the 5-10 range and a 1st round pick in 2015 that might be worth exploring. Bucks will surely be a lottery team again next year and if a 5-10 slotted team this year gives us a 2015 pick; that pick will probably be in the lottery as well. It remains to be seen how strong the 2015 draft class will be since it appears a big portion of the top prospects are incoming freshmen. I doubt the new owners will want to trade down though; they are new and want a big splash to help with ticket sales. If they should do any trading they should try to get back into the first round in the low to mid 20's and try to get a guy like Adriean Payne, KJ McDaniels, or PJ Hairston.
  3. At this point you could just release Heckathorn. Is there really a point to keeping him around anymore? He has been pretty terrible. I hope we start to see some promotions in early June. The system up and down from High A, AA, AAA, and Milwaukee has had such good consistent starting pitching it has been tough to move people around. But I do agree that even though several AAA guys are pitching well they should get bumped from the rotation for actual prospects should that need arise. Guys like Blazek, Mills, and Figaro cannot hold up the development of Cravy, Suter, Jungmann, Bradley, etc.
  4. Who the heck are Franley Mallen and Nicholas Pierre. I like to think I follow the minors pretty closely but for them to be on someone's Top 20 list makes me question is I really follow close enough. These have to got to be Rookie /Latin guys right?
  5. If they pick Embiid I am going to be so pissed. Draft Wiggins or Parker you idiots. It almost seems like a lock that whomever drafts Embiid and especially if he is drafted above Wiggins and/or Parker is going to regret it. Drafting big men just seems much more risky; especially those who have 1 year of CBB and have dealt with a back injury already as a 19 year old Bucks desperately need offensive firepower and Wiggins and Parker would be great fits IMO. Wiggins would be my first choice.
  6. Yeah I have to question Fredi here; there is no reason to have your stud young SP out there up 5 runs with well over 120 pitches. Kinda dumb.
  7. Bradley with a fantastic outing. Would like more K's but 9 innings of 4 hit shut out baseball is great.
  8. So there are stories out there that Diamond Stone from Dominican and Malik Newman from Mississippi are going to be a package deal. They apparently become good friends through the AAU circuit. If that is the case the Wisconsin schools can probably forget about it. What are the odds Stone and Newman, rated #1 and #3 in the class respectively, are going to commit to a place like UW or Marquette? Seems slim to none if you ask me. This has all the making of Duke, Kansas, or Kentucky. Kinda sucks though; would have loved to see Marquette or UW keep a talent like Stone in the state. He is probably a 1 and done anyways I suppose.
  9. We are really using Braddock and Parra as reasons that we want to keep Wang? We want to keep a kid who clearly has no business playing in MLB right now for the oft chance that 3 years from now he could perhaps turn into a league average LOOGY? I don't think this kid is nearly as talented as everyone seems to think he is. He has some zip on his fastball and has shown flashes here and there; but clearly he is a LONG ways off and a myriad of things could happen to delay or end his development.
  10. Holy mother of god is Wang bad. If he can't even do the one job he is asked to do (Occasionally go an inning or two to save the other guys) what exactly is the point of keeping him around? Frankly I am starting to wonder where the long term potential is. Just simply awful; the way this is going maybe Pitt doesn't want him back? Worst case maybe we could trade them one of the mediocre guys in our system. I don't think I will lose any sleep over his long term potential if we send him packing.
  11. I would be content just having that early 2nd round pick. The difference between say 25 and 35 is extremely minimal. Might as well keep all your picks and hopefully you get lucky with one out of the 3 2nd rounders. Now if you could do some package of picks and players to move up into the 15-22 range then maybe I would be interested. Ersan would appear to be the most tradeable but he does make too much.
  12. He finished off the complete game 2 hitter. Up and down the system there have been a ton of good pitching performance. Now offense throughout the entire organization has been spotty at best but it has been great to see so many good pitching outings both in MIL and throughout the minors. I don't know much about Magnifico but he is another guy having a really strong year
  13. I am just not expecting the Bucks to get the 1st pick. My money is on the 3rd pick which means Wiggins and Parker will be gone and we get to draft the next Greg Oden. If we do get the 3rd pick and Wiggins and Parker are both gone I would rather they draft Exum or Randle.
  14. All of those sounds like pretty good moves to me. I would debate Morris vs. Green but Green being able to play 3rd is a big check mark by him. Once Ramirez comes back I would probably DFA Green for Morris though. I doubt that if we signed Morales the first absolute second we could that he would be ready to play. He would probably need a week or two in the minors. Bring up Morris so Morales can play 1st everyday at AAA for a bit. I have a feeling Reynolds is going to be on the team for the entire year regardless of what other 1st basemen may be brought in.
  15. I would like to see the Garza we paid for today. He has been pretty underwhelming thus far and definitely the weak link in the rotation. Obviously he still has the talent to be a major asset the last 4+ months of the season and hopefully that starts today. If Gomez was in there that would have been the nicest lineup we have fielded in a long time. Still better than the last couple weeks though. It will fee awfully weird if and when RR can finally have Gomez, Segura, Braun, Ramirez, and Lucroy all in the same lineup
  16. Its like an unwritten rule of baseball in 2014. Brewers thou shalt not win by more than 3 runs.
  17. Never seen an "In Play Outs" that actually was a single. Weird MLB gameday moment EDIT: Now I have no idea what happened; someone must have gotten thrown out somewhere
  18. Alphabet man really doesn't have it today. Ron's lineup shuffle wins again.
  19. Would it kill our pitchers to be able to bunt. Jeez. Regardless his pitch county is getting sky high awfully fast. Get into that shoddy Cubs bullpen
  20. Him not playing today does notbother me; but the amount of time he has been injured with some random malady in the last several years bothers me. The guy is never 100% healthy it seems. Its always a thumb, oblique, etc, etc
  21. Even if they were to consider Morales in mid June wouldn't it take him a while to be game ready? Probably a week or two in the minors right? We probably are going to be status quo until probably closer to the all star break. At that point maybe there are more options available than just Morales.
  22. I would have to think long and hard if the Twins offered Sano and Buxton. Not that they ever would but you get the idea. It would take A LOT for me to trade Braun even with the warts and recent nagging injuries.
  23. I would love to find a way to get Gallo. If it could be Estrada and any minor leaguer not named Coulter or Nelson I would do it. He is having a crazy good year at High A; bump him up to AA this year and maybe he could be a mid 2015 call up. His power is incredible and he can take a walk. I doubt he can hit .300+ like he is this year but you don't need to if you can take a walk and hit 35+ homers.
  24. At this point you have to get Weeks in the lineup as much as you can. It really sucks that neither Gennet or Weeks can play 3rd because man that would really be useful right now. Gennett is still probably the long term answer at 2B, I still can't envision a scenario where Weeks is on the team next year. When Weeks gets hot he can be really good but we have also experience some really low lows. Ride the hot hand while you can
