  1. #18 on my list is Jose Pena the OF then; not Ariel
  2. Sale is supposed to get approved today. Hopefully everyone's office is cleaned out over the weekend..... I don't really have anything against Drew but the Bucks just need to start fresh. I will definitely be disappointed if Hammond is retained.
  3. 1. Nelson 2. Coulter 3. Taylor 4. Haniger 5. Williams (Devin) 6. Morris 7. Bradley 8. Jungmann 9. Denson 10. Neuhas 11. Roache 12. Reed 13. Arcia 14. Lopez 15. Suter 16. Delmonico 17. Ramirez 18. Pena 19. Zarraga 20. Cravy It was hard with the last 5 in last 5 out; a case could be made for a couple more guys as legitimate MLB potential prospects
  4. Denson must be hurt/sick as well. I think this is now the 3rd straight game he hasn't played. Reed coming out on a check swing is probably an oblique or something in that area
  5. I hope Cole serves up a couple gopher balls today and the Brewers trot around the bases backward
  6. I agree that the Brewers would be smart to trade Estrada either at the deadline or in the offseason when he starts to get expensive. No point to paying him when you have probably 4 guys that you cold plug into his spot next year that would all be much cheaper (Thornburg, West, Fiers, Nelson). Now I wouldn't expect a kings ransom for Estrada or anything but you would think some team would give up something nice for a decent SP that they would control for 2 years (?).
  7. I wonder if the success of the rotation is part of the reason Bradley hasn't been bumped up yet. I know it is still early for promotions but this is Bradley's 3rd year at BC and with the early season success I want him promoted to see if he is really legit. There is no one you want to demote on Huntsville though; everyone has been terrific. There has got to be some room at AAA isn't there? Get Pena, Mills, and Figaro out of the rotation in AAA already. They are nowhere near the MLB starting rotation; just move them to the bullpen.
  8. I would rather just do a Power 20 or something. Trying to rank guys 20-50 is a pointless exercise.
  9. Taylor Green makes the most sense to me. Take Blazek or Figaro off of the 40 man. I like Green's bat a lot more than Herrera's.
  10. You might as well play him a little bit more in hopes that someone becomes desperate enough to want him. He gotten much better at the plate. I have no problems if you could get him 2 starts a week. Maybe even 3 depending on matchups. And I agree that trying to teach someone OF during midseason probably isn't the wisest of plans. That being said this offseason Rickie would be best served to try to learn a new position or two because that would greatly improve his odds of staying in the league. At this point he might be a non roster invite next spring training.
  11. Coulter is really climbing fast for sure. Not inconceivable that he, Nelson, and Taylor finally start to crack some prospect lists. Coulter and Taylor especially. Denson has been pretty solid for a couple weeks and Reed has generally been good too. Haniger is also finally showing some signs of life. Lot to be excited about if you ask me. Now the short seasons just need to open up so I can follow Williams and Neuhas to see if they can take that next step.
  12. Looks like a failed hit and run there. Lyle had what appeared to be a pretty hittable pitch and he generally makes decent contact. Tough break.
  13. The last day of the regular season still gives me the chills. No way we would have even made it that far without CC. NY offered him so much more money that you can't blame him for taking it. That being said I hope the offense wakes up finally and beats him up.
  14. that post on hardballtalk is just epic. In summary. With a left hander on the mound; Yost elected to intentionally walk Cano (a lefty) to face Hart (a righty) in the 3rd inning with 2 outs in a 0-0 game. He basically was scared to death that Cano might hit a solo HR against his lefty and would rather face Hart, who hits lefties pretty good, with a runner on. Yeah there is no logic there at all
  15. Bradley with another fantastic start again; I am officialy excited about him again. He is a must follow on link reports from now on. Now to move him up to AA to test him.....
  16. I will take this any day after the winter we went through. I did almost crap my pants yesterday; one of the loudest thunderbolts ever and it really came out of nowhere.
  17. Nashville is turning into a cheese sandwich game. Although I have my doubts Mills will ever turn into Ben Sheets
  18. If you really dislike your manager for one move and nothing can change that; then there probably isn't a single fan that likes any manager in the entire MLB.
  19. Well it probably wouldn't hurt to give him a start here or there; it has been a while. We are in no danger of him getting to 600 abs anymore
  20. Nelson, Coulter, and Taylor are probably the only really good trading chip we have and I have no interest in dealing them for a short term fix. Jungmann, Bradley, Fiers, Roache, Haniger, Etc aren't going to bring impact talent back. I would be really afraid of DM doing something stupid and trading Nelson, Coulter, or Taylor; they are the closest thing to impact prospects we have and we desperately need to hang on to them.
  21. Gotta love Denson starting to get hot. Also great to see he hit an opposite field shot today too. What I don't like is the number of errors he has at 1st already. Did we just draft another DH with no position?
  22. Its just weird; the talent is there. Even without Braun a lineup that includes Segura, Gomez, Ramirez, and Lucroy should be fine. But Aram has been horrible and we are just really struggling consistently getting on base and then driving them in. If the pitching still holds up I feel OK long term because Braun will be back and Aram won't continue to be horrible. Hopefully the starting pitching holds up though
