  1. I have a pretty nice City going on in Sim City 4 right now. While I would love the updated graphics from Sim City 2013 it sounds like the city building isn't nearly as fun as with SC 4. I will give SC2013 a chance if it is improved on in the future. Offline may not happen but I could live with that if the gameplay is vastly superior to SC 4. As of right now that doesn't appear to be the case
  2. Henderson is going to make it hard on RR to actually keep him. That likely opens up a spot for both Olmsted and Kintzler. That is probably the preferred scenario anyways in terms of raw stuff. Axford, Gonzalez, Gorz, Rogers, Olmsted, Kintzler, and Badenhop.
  3. I am really getting sick of this 25-35 degree weather. Just give me 40's already so all this forsaken snow can melt. I saw that projection for next Monday as well; if it is only a couple inches I don't really care as the temps are atleast warm enough to melt that level of snow pretty quickly. Last year on this coming Saturday I ran a 5K and it was about 50 degrees out or so. The forecast for this Saturday isn't projected to break 30.
  4. I will echo the left turn vent. If a car is waiting behind a car turning left (Not at a stop light or sign) and there is room to pass on the right just do it. Especially if there is a lot of oncoming traffic.
  5. Yeah maybe I overstated my respect for Calipari. I respect the fact that he is hell of a recruiter and probably a mediocre talent developer and in game coach. Obviously his sensational recruiting record and his past problems probably does indicate that at the moment he is just getting away with it. Maybe he will eventially go 3 for 3 and get another Final 4 wiped off the record at his 3rd straight school.
  6. Crean is just an awful human being in my opinion. I would like nothing more to have Indiana get upset in the 2nd round. I don't like guys like Izzo, Coach K, Calipari either but at least I respect them. Crean I just can't stand on any level and I hope he fails miserably
  7. BA is once again working the NCAA basketball tourney. His name is becoming more national with each passing year; I have to imagine him moving on at some point and I wouldn't expect FSN to open up the check book for him either.
  8. Jarmusz is on a level all by himself. He wasn't hyped out of HS and I still have no idea how he got offered a scholarship. The Wisconsin high school class for that year was horrible, Tim was #3 (Behind Nankavil & Garret). Gasser may not be an All American but he is a very capable player and is a superior ball handler to Jackson; thats why I would want him back at the PG next year. Also how the heck was Evan Anderson a 4* prospect in 2010? Is that some kind of a joke? What part of his high school career ever made anyone think he was a 4* prospect?
  9. I am still not all that high on Jackson. Once Gasser comes back I kind of hope he ends up back on the bench in a support role. Gasser, Brust, and Decker should be 1-2-3 next year with Jackson, Marshall, and Koenigs backing up. Jackson is always willing to take the big shot; but his ball handling skills and passing ability leave a lot to be desired. He should be treated as a backup SG next year. That is a ton of depth; unfortunately there front line looks pretty weak and thin next year unless the Freshmen bigs come in any play well. I will miss Bruiser; his shot has gone to crap this year but is still a good defender and rebounder; the same can probably be said for Evans. Both of them probably have shot to much this year. Bergren is kind of an enigma. He is pretty darn athletic but he also has completely lost his shot and in general UW hasn't fed the post much at all this year. Of the three guys I think Bergren will be missed the most. He is the only shot blocking and post presence they had.
  10. IMO; the next 2 weeks are the best 2 weeks of sports all year. Then right after that it is MLB opening day. Doesn't get much better than this. I am going to stay the heck away from UW in all of my brackets; Marquette it completely depends on match ups. I know UW will probably end up making the Sweet 16 like they always do do this years team has way to many flaws for me to have any confidence in them. This years bracket is just going to be a complete crapshoot. There are probably 15 teams that could win it all and every single one of them could probably lose the 1st weekend too. Should be fun
  11. Damn; I saw that the reviews were bad but didn't realize it was getting killed that badly. The Metacritic critic reviews are actually pretty good although obviously the user reviews are horrendous and are almost entirely due to the DRM, servers, and small city size I just hope upon hope that this massive failure might spark the company to provide an offline option.
  12. Between the Purdue game and this; it is getting hard not to see the badgers as a ripe 1st round upset in the NCAA tourney. When they are playing well they can beat anybody; but if they are playing like this they could easily lose to any team not a 16 seed. I was actually worried that they might not break 30.
  13. Uconn stands out so bad in that new conference. They have really bungled there situation up. They really have to try to get into the ACC. I suppose Uconn, Memphis, Cincy, and Temple isn't a bad 4 Bball schools but the bottom of that conference is just atrocious. really excited for the New Big East although I am wondering how likely I am to get the new Fox network. That should be a really strong basketball conference.
  14. Amazingly UW still has a shot at the Top Seed in the B10 tourney. Probably a mute point though as I don't see them winning tonight. But coming off perhaps there worst game all year maybe they have a fire in their pants.
  15. Is Cities XL a good alternative to Sim City or is it vastly inferior from a gameplay perspective? A new version of that came out in 2012 and I understand that this is a standard PC game. It might be more worthwhile for me to purchase that.
  16. That link isn't working.
  17. So is there really no hope of this coming out as a standard PC based game in the future? Also if the city plats are really as small as the reviews say they are then that doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun. With this new game I was just hoping for a bunch of new architecture and other cool city building stuff. I have yet to see any reviews that says there are a bunch of new features other than the city building process being "dumbed down". I am really skeptical of buying this game but I really wanted to like it. I still really enjoy the previous Sim City version. I think I might stick with that for now until I am convinced that Sim City 2013 is really worth it.
  18. I have always been a big fan of Sim City as well. The old version is still on my desktop. I certainly would be interested in this but having to play it online and save it somewhere other than your own computer makes little sense to me. My internet; while it isn't prone to cutting in and out; isn't especially fast either. If I have to upgrade that equipment just for this game to work probably will keep me from buying it. If they would just release it as a normal PC game I would love it. Since when has requiring a Product Code when you install the software not good enough for purposes of correct licensing? Seems kind of dumb.
  19. I will go with the crowrd here and say that if Braun tested positive again (And presumably kept taking whatever he was taking) then he gets what is coming to him. All Brewers fans are going to look like idiots for supporting him the whole time. Everyone else will be "I told you so". That being said I am not going to believe some random internet rumor. The big names the guy is throwing out there just screams attention grabber to me. I mean come on Arod, Granderson, and Cano? Seems pretty damn unlikely unless Arod is a good salesmen for whatever he pumps into his body these days.
  20. I would guess the ugly loss to Purdue and probably a loss to MSU locks UW into a 5 seed. Perhaps if they show up and play in ugly game in the B10 tourney that they might slip to a 6. Just a horrible way for the seniors to go out; that team was just broke yesterday.
  21. I just hope the storm stays where it is and I am spared of trying to find a place to put another 6+ inches of snow. 4 is plenty for me thank you. I see that high of 40 at the end of the week and I keep telling myself that this might be the last snowstorm of the year. But of course we all know that probably isn't true. I thought that about the last storm.
  22. Really? I had never heard that. Anyways Looney in 2014 and Stone in 2015 are probably as good as gone to some blue blood whether it be UNC, Duke, Kentucky, etc. I will be estatic that one or both will stick around in state but they both have a Tokoto feeling to them. They may say they are interested in Marquette and UW but they both know if they get offered by the big boys that they won't be able to turn them down. Stone is already 6'10" as a sophomore; the guy will be monstrous when he finally gets to college. A D4 Team from my area (Laconia) gets to go down and play WB Domincan tomorrow in the Sectional Finals. Laconia hasn't lost all year but now they have to play against a Marquette Signee and a stud like Stone. I don't think Laconia has a guy over 6'4". I will be cheering hoping they can put up a fight but I am not optimistic. Its awfully hard for the northern public schools in the lower divisions to compete with the southeastern private schools. The talent level of the population pool is so much greater in those areas than in a place like Rosendale. Yeah the enrollments are the same; but that population draw is definitely not.
  23. The talent level at the High School level in WI is about as high as I have ever seen it. Consistently putting a lot of guys at strong D1 programs for the last couple of years and a lot of talent coming up as well. Dekker was Top 10 nationally I think, Diamond Stone is the #2 rates soph in the country, and this years class is especially deep with 5-6 really legitimate D1 players. I am going to be following the recruitment of Stone closely; he can go anywhere he wants. I guess I have a hard time believing UW or Marquette are going to keep him in state; even with his teammate Wilson going to Marq next year. Lots of good basketball all around in the state. Well except for the Bucks maybe
  24. Tobias Harris had 23 points in 9-12 shooting for Orlando tonight.....
  25. It seems like there is a pretty good chance that at least one of the PF commits for 2013 are going to get some heavy minutes next year. The only Power Forwards or Centers on the team next year are Kaminsky, Anderson, and Dukan. Odds are pretty good that one or both of Hayes & Brown are going to be better on there first day at UW than Anderson or Dukan. Dukan was a pretty solid player in HS; hasn't amounted to much yet but still might have a chance. I never quite understood the Anderson love or why he is even a Big 10 player. He is a huge man at 6' 10" yet managed a measly 10/5 in High School. I am sorry but if you are that big in High School and couldn't dominate then you are going to be in way over your head in the B10. Anderson is just another JP Gavinski.
