  1. As long as Roenicke's consistent and bunts with McGehee in all the same situations. One .220 hitter hits 5th or 6th and he pretends is good, the other one "must bunt" -- even with two strikes -- because he's just oh so incompetent as a hitter.
  2. Might that unseat Ben Revere's top spot on Web Gems? The catch alone, nah ... but a pretty sweet combo of great catch and amazingly athletic, strong throw for the DP.
  3. I hate having a good hitting pitcher in the hole 0-2 because his manager sent him up to bunt. Runner in scoring position, nobody out, competent hitter at the plate ... let the man work a fresh count for hit.
  4. Roenicke fail. Yo's a better hitter than our thirdbasemen and he sends him up there to waste an out. So frustrating.

  6. Great inning from the offense. And, they cleared Casey!
  7. Yutaka stole my Johnny 5 idea, nicely done. My alternate contribution: http://media.masslive.com/sports_impact/photo/predators619jpg-2ab04e5c628dc100_large.jpg

  9. C'mon Ax, one more and we can finally move that magical magic number again....
  10. If anyone is looking for two tickets, please see my post in the Trading forum.
  11. Wait, so if you make it to the dugout without being tagged, you are safe at home? Runners should totally start bypassing the catcher and make a bee line for the dugout. It's like gool in tag.
  12. Mcgehee expending more energy eyeing up if it's fair or foul than actually playing the ball.
  13. Missed my opportunity to pick up the recent SI issue with Braun, Fielder, Morgan on the cover. Anyone with an extra for sale? Prefer store bought without someone else's name on it.
  14. Have two extra tickets for Saturday, 9/10 vs Phillies ... section 335, row 2. Face is $40 each, I'll take $40 for both, or best offer. Must pick up in West Allis between before 2:30.
  15. Wouldn't put it past Carpenter to say something snarky. At the least, Morgan ratcheted things up several notches with F bombs and attitude. At worst, Carpenter said nothing and Nyjer pulled all that drama out of thin air.
  16. Wow did Pujols look slooow. Lucroy, would it kill you to lower your glove so runners can't slide under it??
  17. I think braun is noticeably better at setting up behind it and using his momentum a little.
  18. I thought so. Then again, he used to be fast too. He never charges fly balls to make throws home. Been the same story his whole career. Remember the all star game when the AL scored the winning run on a sac fly that Hart spiked into the ground with his typically lame, flat-footed attempt to throw home? Embarrassingly bad. I'm sure coaches have tried to correct him over the years. Either he is lazy or incapable of learning.
  19. Oh my god Corey, you are so terrible at throwing. Year after year, no improvement, always flat footed and weak. So frustrating.
  20. I thought Airtran was the official airline of the Brewers. Or Frontier? Certainly not Continental. The real official carrier has to be hating that this nearly-viral team photo is showcasing another brand.
  21. Dang you rawbecht, for stealing my Skid Row thunder! I guess I'll just have to take it one step further.... http://www.asiaarts.ucla.edu/media/images/gilmoregirls3-lrg.jpg PS. The super awesome Packers are amazing and 80% of the board agrees; and the crappy Bears can suck it and 95% of the board agrees. End of discussion.
  22. Yankees of the midwest? The team that hasn't won a world series since 1908, or been to one since 1945? Was your post supposed to be in blue? They have the market-size/ fanbase/ money to buy an annual playoffs a'la the Yankees and Red Sox, they just haven't managed their advantage well. Logically, you'd think someday that will change, but contracts like Zambrano's are what help keep that situation from happening.
