    Solid all-around defense, especially some really fine plays in the outfield. Bats were smokin' liners all over the place and lots of hustle on the basepaths. Couple of calls also went our way. Next thing you know, a pretty dandy 13-5 win. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

    I think you're overstating how remote the location is. It's more like 30 minutes from downtown Milwaukee, a mere 15 from the batch of hotels right off 94 at Hwy 18 in western Brookfield. And there is other lodging in lake country along 94, like Country Springs, etc.Delafield, which is about 20 minutes away also has a ton of hotel space.Oops, I thought Erin Hills was in Delafield. Google Maps was really doing a number on me, I think the course must have an office or something right off 94 in Delafield. That's where it kept pointing me to when I came up with my numbers. Looks like the course is actually 45 minutes from downtown Milwaukee and 30 from the Gourkes Corners area. Makes it a little more remote.

    Houlie texted me yesterday to say Brent was probably in, but that Brent would post on the board here when he was for sure. Drick wants to play with us, but apparently he's not available tonight. That might change sometime between now and the game.

    I was instantly curious myself and found a number of articles via google to corroborate the claim. If it makes a difference, he was likely referring to steaks and burgers more than a brat. Maybe the casing on a brat makes it a different story than the others, I don't know.

    Does a good throw get Gomez at third? Neither the radio announcers nor anything I've read in this thread or NSBB's thread has answered that. Does Counsell get an RBI or no 'cos of the error?

    FYI- Looks like there's a chance some rain will move in this afternoon and evening. If there's any rain before 5:00, I'll call the recorded message, post an update here, and get the word out. After 5:00, the field can be called directly 414-486-1613. I won't have much access to the internet between 5:00 and gametime.

    So who's gonna be cracking skulls and keeping the thugs in line at the lakefront tonight, then??? Glad you're able to play! I'll update the starting lineup.... We might end up with a few more than 10 the way things are shaping up, better that than the alternative. I would prefer not to sit the bench at all tonight since I've got some family stopping by to watch the game. I know Radman is happy DH-ing. If we have more than 11, then best case, our subs don't mind DH-ing or just playing half the game in the field, although it's kindof a dick move to have them come and not play. I'm sure it will work out....

    Josh informs me that Brent is now 100% in and that he has a guy (not Al), so that brings us to 10. Zac, we can definitely handle 11, so no problem if you're bringing someone else. Just please provide an update here ASAP or text me if you have my number. Josh is considering adding another sub.

    Ugh. I wish our baseball team was made up of better baseball players. It's depressing watching the Cardinals field such a good/great team every year while we fields such bad teams.
