  1. Coutlangus hit a double, not a single. EDIT: moff is right, it was "Chuck" Norris Hopper that led off the inning. Yahoo says otherwise, but it's wrong ... I remember Uecker saying Hopper now. And it was a hard hit double ... Yahoo also had it listed as a single for a while.
  2. Braun's 5 LOB in the last couple innings of the game look pretty huge right now. Stupid offense.
  3. Strike 'em out, throw 'em out .... never imagined that would be how we'd get out of it!
  4. Ugh, Turnbow ... Neddy always by the book. Was really hoping to see Villy, he had already made it through the rough spot of the lineup, now we just needed him to go up there and throw quality strikes. With Turnbow, I always expect a walk.
  5. Wow, Uecker's heart really wasn't in that call at all, lol. Nice of Hall and Hart to team up there and take care of business. And now some speed on second, let's grab another run.
  6. Pleeeease let this be a sign that Hall will be the hitter he was becoming right before his injury. Please. Runner in scoring position and no one out. Must get him home.
  7. Ahhh, I can't take it anymore. Hard to fault Braun considering he was already 3 for 3, his quota was met for the day, but why does it seem like it's so incredibly rare to "get it done" in situations like these??
  8. I've seen a lot of those swinging bunts go against us this year, seems like it's been a loooong time since we got that break ourselves.
  9. Awesome, a Rush reference. I have no idea why, though....
  10. Is Sarloos one of the guys they acquired via trade by giving up their bats? Or am I thinking of different Reds reliever(s)?
  11. Come on, Tony. You're in there 'cos Prince is not. Please make me forget that fact.
  12. Yost diluting our offense on back-to-back days, when our offense is already struggling bad, when we're on the road where we're afwul, when the second place team keeps inching closer, when we're less than two weeks away from a four-day all-star break, when neither game is being pitched by Sheets or Yo .... is inex-freakin-scusable.
  13. When does Yost get a day off? I'm pretty sure he needs it. No one else is showing stronger signs of being worn down. Glad Briggs is in this IGT, bringing some serious sense to the situation. And I love Frank's fire, even though he might be close to a ban they way this board operates. Yost diluting our offense on back to back days, when our offense is already struggling bad, when we're on the road where we're afwul, when the second place team keeps inching closer, when we're less than two weeks away from a four-day all-star break, when neither game is being pitched by Sheets or Yo .... is inex-freakin-scusable.
  14. Hey, you nailed it, JohnBriggs. I hate Yost with the fury of all the curse words you're not allowed to say on this forum. Yosted again. Luckily we have a sizable lead in the division.
  15. So you don't believe in trends and the fact that a very decent-sized sample of recent performance can be an indicator of what to expect in the months ahead? Those worried about the latest trends have every right to vent. You could say this about almost any road park. GABP, PNC, anything on the west coast. At some point it just feels lame to excuse losses on the road with multiple "house of horrors" explanations. While a .500 winning percentage away from home is a great goal for a season, the Brewers' record on the road for 2007 is too far below .500 to make split road series at this point a success (especially against bad teams ... Reds? Cardinals? "Success" at .500? In a pennant race with the Cubs breathing down our necks?) And it just feels like there's been a bunch of this lately. Vent-worthy, in my opinion.
  16. Awesome freakin lineup tonight, Yost. I mean, I know we have a comfortable lead in the division and all, but I'd still like to play for the win. Moron. A mere two game lead. Could be out of first before August 1st VERY EASILY. Way to squander the mammoth head start, fellas. 7-6 since the all-star break, with 10 of those games at home and the other three visiting a last place team. Yeah, bring on the playoffs, we're clearly ready. Pathetic.
  17. Wow, no Hart out there either. Ned, my hatred for you continues to grow. Terrible lineup.
  18. No Braun, no Hardy. Yost just loooves making sure our best hitters are never all in the lineup at the same time, eh?
  19. 3.75 Hopefully Hall's bat gets going quickly to match where he was at before getting injured and to offset the defensive downgrade he brings to CF. It's been kinda nice not having to watch the Scotty Smalls Circus out there these last few weeks. Our offense could certainly use a boost, though.
  20. It's too WWF and lunkhead-ish. I'd prefer something generic like the Milwaukee Wildcats by a longshot. I'm sure there are lots of better names out there.

  22. Balfour performed like crap, duh, but the real villain tonight was our PATHETIC offense. Starting pitching, great. First couple of relievers, also fine. You can only expect to hold down a team to 1 run for so long. Meanwhile, we thunder our way towards 1 measely run in 12 innings. Goes nicely with our shutout two days ago. SCORE SOME FREAKING RUNS. I'm sick of this crapfest of offensive unproduction. Bring on the playoffs, we're clearly ready. And Yost still can't manage pitchers.
  23. Stupid, stupid team nickname. I could never support, root for, attend, etc something as braindead as "bonecrusher".
  24. According to the highlights from last night's game, Minnesota got jobbed pretty good on two calls by the umps. Probably cost them the game.
