  1. my first job was Mcdonalds in New London. I was drive thru boy, fry boy, up front counter boy everything but cook boy. I worked there for almost 2 years before I lipped off and quit. It was probably the worst job I ever had, however I worked with about 15 of my best friends at the time. Can't really beat that.
  2. I got them last year at shopko and at dicks sporting goods in appleton.
  3. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j290/jason21nl/p613332reg.jpg this is the ball, the other side sweet spot is open. It's pretty nice, with a blue bic pen it doesn't fade or bleed. I like them because you can buy 3 of them for the price of one MLB ball. Like I said, it doesn't matter to me that its not a MLB ball because I don't sell them...here is the description of the ball... The Rawlings® ROML baseball offers a Major League Specifications design with a full-grain leather cover and a Rawlings® Major League seam for consistency and durability
  4. I have found one other ball that is to MLB specs that won't bleed. They cost $5 and look nice. Of course they won't be worth as much as an offical MLB ball but I don't care since I too don't sell them.
  5. Brewers winning big, Badgers winning big, Michigan losing, College football season starting, and watching the no hitter...today was a great day
  6. in any no hitter you have to have luck and some great d behind you. that play Pedroia made was amazing, he had no right stopping that ball let alone getting up and throwing out the runner.
  7. i wish i lived closer to milwaukee area so i could go to signings.
  8. only his 2nd career start? amazing. MLB.tv more than paid for itself tonight. I got to watch brewers baseball with bob and jim, and watch the end of that no-no. I hate boston, but that gave me some serious chills!
  9. I watched the whole game at a bar with 3 cubs fans. The all were blown away by the strike 3 call to hart. Seriously, how the hell can you call that a strike? add that to the freaking moron sitting behind home plate in a green shirt and pink hat who would jump up and scream at every close pitch it was a long night.
  10. yeah, not sure thats going to fly on this site that well
  11. it being beautiful on days that I have to work, then raining on days that I have off and have softball games.
  12. I love to blame Yost for every little thing that goes wrong. On this one, letting bush go out there with a low PC was OK. Can't really blame yost for letting him go back out there since every other manager would have done the same thing. Having a hurting Hart out in the field came back to hurt us since he barley could throw the ball.
  13. for what its worth, and probably not much. but I came into the chat, not knowing anything about what happened in the game. I said, hmm letting Bush hit for himself and pitch the 7th huh? Hawing said shhh don't jinx it. a few pitches later the game was tied. I thought using a pinch hitter for bush and trying to add on runs would have been the smarter way to go.
  14. this team is pathetic right now. some how something needs to change
  15. haha, i was going to post that this morning. I thought it was cool the first time I saw it. Now I freaking hate it and its seriously on every commercial break like you said
  16. brewers pitching stinks.
  17. I like the fire Prince shows but right now its hurting the team not being in the line up. Hopefully we can steal these couple games without Price in the line up.
  18. now vick won't admit that he killed any dogs or gambled on fights. I would like to punch Vick in the face
  19. I got a big pretzel last time I was there. I'll never get another one again unless it is without salt. The amount of salt and butter that was on it made it gross. I'm not a big food guy at games, Its too pricey for me. Although I do buy a soda that costs like 4 bucks.
  20. haha, I'll admit I laughed. Most of the pics are dead on. I like the Ryan Braun, and Hart ones.
  21. It's a swing of 2 games in .500, but in terms of standings it's only a swing of 1 game unless the game was against the other team you're racing. Winning those games would make us 58-47, but the sCrubs would still have the same record and be 4 back instead of tied. So in the standing sense, it's only a 4 game swing. We are only used to saying .500 because it's been so long since we've been +. All I care about is games ahead. right, I agree. Its not the above .500 that I really care about its the division lead. at the end of my vent I said and healthy lead in the division. A 4 game lead right now would look really really good right now. Those blown leads really really hurt. (I know captain obvious).
  22. i heard something on the radio today that I didn't think of. Losing the 5 run leads hurts more than I even thought of. Not only do we lose that game, but its a swing of 2. so we blew 4, 5 run leads in 4 weeks. Thats a difference of 8 games. Its not going overboard to say that we should have won those games. So instead of being 2 games above .500 we would be 10 and have a very healthy lead in the division. Damn that makes me mad.
  23. I wold have to say rock bottom has been hit. After that play last night, two, 10 year olds said to each other, "we don't even do that in our game" I had to laugh at that. Then they gave us a little hope in the 8th as to say we are taking our last breath. Dunn then finished us off with a blast that MP has rarley seen.
  24. from the reds website: Griffey again rounded the bases in the seventh inning of the Reds' 8-3 win over the Brewers on Friday. However, the only fitting highlight music would be the theme from Benny Hill. It came on a fielder's choice play with two Milwaukee throwing errors. "I'm counting that one as 591, even if they don't," Griffey joked. "That was straight Little League." Fittingly, the Little League World Series was airing on the clubhouse television nearby. Just embarrassing.
  25. i'm just saying that people in this thread seem to be reaching. and in most threads people even admit to be reaching. Just seems silly to me..but thats just my opinion. I myself need to reach for something to be happy with too. I will not mock the silver lining thread again, im sorry.
