  1. That right there is the biggest steal of Summerfest. Robert Randolph at a free stage? My god. Summerfest did real good on the 28th and 29th. Robert Randolph and Rodrigo Y Gabriela are probably three of the most underappreciated guitar players ever.
  2. What? Give Rodrigo Y Gabriella a try... It's a guy and a girl playing guitar. Nothing else. He's an acoustic beast. She plays guitar like nobody you've ever seen before. They also don't speak much English, so the whole crowd has to sing for them. Fun stuff. Letterman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPhVpIlc1vs Crowd Singing: Gabriela is Amazing: ">
  3. Has anyone been on the Hot Sheet more than Gamel over the past 2 years? Wieters? Price?
  4. Hmm... So Gindl absolutely destroys RHP, but only hits home runs against LHP? I'll take it.
  5. Victor had many vampiric qualities. Sucking being high on the list.
  6. http://www.007museum.com/007goldeneyenintendo.jpg Look at his deformed face and how wide Pierce Brosnan's mouth is.
  7. Through his first 7 innings this year, Efrain Nieves has a 12-0 groundball to flyball ratio and has 9 K's. He is also a lefty that is only 19 years old. Please, Jesus, don't let his arm get hurt. Edit: Make that 14-0 with 10 K's through 8 innings this season... This is through the 5th (one hit given up). 2nd Edit: Bah. Jinxed him. Still a good start for the kid.
  8. Got drunk at family Easter celebrations, get home to see Suppan walk the world home.... I wish I wasn't hammered. I'd feel a lot better about the Cubs getting 6 runs off of 3 hits.
  9. To be fair, Escobar (the good fielder) also has two errors. But Gamel does have to be atleast a decent MLB third baseman to get called up early. Doesn't look like it will ever happen.
  10. I'm assuming that Taylor Green will be in Huntsville once he's all healed up, right? Green, Lucroy, and Cain could make that lineup look pretty darn good by the end of the year.
  11. Lamb chops. Ha. Too bad. Hopefully this gets out of the way quick for Mat.

  13. Though I'm pretty sure the guy is a douche, I can easily think of six reasons in the last four years that I really don't care what this guy is like off camera... 1. Batman Begins 2. The Prestige 3. 3:10 to Yuma 4. The Dark Knight 5. Public Enemies (filmed in Wisconsin) 6. Terminator And a personal favorite of mine, Reign of Fire. I'm a sucker for sweet dragons. Edit: http://www.myfittribe.com/files/images/Christian%20Bale%20in%20The%20Machinist.jpg The dude takes his movies seriously. The fact that he went from this, to playing Batman, in less than a year takes some major dedication and passion for what he is doing. Some poor guy just got in his way.
  14. So it all boils down to Hardy being a top 5 shortstop, or being a top 10 third baseman? Is the pay really that different as long as his offense stays the same? Is it a point of pride thing? Will Escobar at short, combined with Hardy's skills make JJ a Gold Glover which could then get him even more money (something I doubt he would get at short)? I really fail to see the problem in having Hardy move over and have Escobar man short as long as they both hit like they can. It can't be a money thing as it seems like guys are being paid for their hitting ability rather than what they do with the glove as long as they are competent with it. I say pull the trigger and get Escobar at short whenever he is up for good.
  15. We had 6 guys in the top 18 of MVP voting that year, the lowest of which won the Cy Young. It's a darn shame that they never won it all because I really doubt any team in the '80s were anywhere close to them when healthy and motivated.
  16. Yeah it's in the museum of history connected to the Ghoul's city near downtown. The gun should be in the last room you get to (with a glowing ghoul in it) and it is in a small locked cabinet in the back left of the office. It's hard to find ammo for (.44 magnum), but it's pretty much the only gun you'll ever need in the game. Repairs with the hunting rifle, so it's pretty much always full strength.
  17. Also it has yet to be mentioned that Alcides is only about 170 lbs tops. If/When he fills out, so will his power numbers. That's pretty much what happened to Hanley Ramirez who was also a stick figure before hitting the bigs.
  18. Oh, please. Enrique Cruz? Are you serious? Alcides is also more likely to win a Nobel Prize than to join NASA. We're not saying that he is the second coming of Hanley. But, Alcides is a Gold Glove calibur SS that should be able to hit like an average to above-average SS. What more could you want?
  19. Escobar/Gamel, TGJr, and Braddock good enough?
  20. Take a look at the FSL's HR leaders (he was tied for 5th I think), everyone above Taylor was either 24+ years old, or had an OBP less than .300. Taylor is going to be a top prospect very, very soon wether these tools-first guys like it or not. Also, check out Alcides' numbers coming up through the minors compared to Hanley Ramirez. Nearly identical across the board (Hanley walked a tiny bit more, Alcides had a higher average).
  21. http://www.nydailynews.co...de_melky_cabrera_t-1.html Looks like it just might happen. Would like to see us get a young pitcher as well though.
