  2. hawing, I have never had a good experience on the Ned Yost route. The driver is usually grumpy and it seems to take longer than usual to get where I'm going. Anyway, for me, my addiction to Brewers and this site comes when I misspell "brain" as "braun" several times in a psych paper or note taking.
  3. To be fair, sometimes you just don't know that you can't see well until it's brought to your attention. Good for him to get that fixed.
  4. I wouldn't sweat Bush's Reds Splits. A lot of those gaudy numbers have to do with his 14.24 ERA at GABP. I actually really like our chances to take the series tomorrow.
  5. We won, but I still feel dirty... I just have to keep telling myself: 6-1, 6-1, 6-1...Ah, that's better.
  6. Trenni gets major points in my book.
  7. Sheets: Perfect game. Guaranteed. No question.
  8. I know talked about this ad nauseum on Thursday, but I think sweeping on the road will be especially key. We've had 9 chances to do it since 2004 after going up 2-0 and failed every time. We know we'll win at Miller Park, and we know we'll take our lumps on the road, but sweeping a series or two outside of the Keg will help even out that road record. As has been said, going .500 on the road is ideal, and a few sweeps might be necessary to do that.
  9. Now watch him for 3 for 4 with a leadoff homer... Screw not jinxing the sweep. It's already out there. I want our first road sweep since 2004. Chad Moeller hit a grand slam in that one. Wow. Go Bush! Go Brewers!
  10. http://photos-b.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38187833_4974.jpg Our view from our seats at Wrigley last April. The weather sucked. Brewers got killed. Sheets got hurt. But before he left, he pitched pretty well. And we had seats 3 rows behind home plate. How often does that happen? http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38187835_5626.jpg Billy's paying attention in this one! I really like this picture...classic Sheets...except for the James Caan-in-Misery thing he's got going on with that right foot. http://photos-h.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38187831_4320.jpg Sheets in his rhythm. http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38187827_2997.jpg First pitch... http://photos-b.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38187849_319.jpg Last at bat. L, 9-3. http://photos-c.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38187850_694.jpg Brewers dugout...post game. I said hi to Davy Nelson and Craig Coshun. http://photos-b.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38187865_5694.jpg Damn straight. http://photos-e.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38187836_5952.jpg JJ had an uncharacteristically bad game in the field. He also went 0-fer. http://photos-f.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38187837_6285.jpg More JJ...I shouldn't have let the girlfriend take pictures... http://photos-g.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38187838_6630.jpg Hunchback Nedly http://photos-c.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38187842_7938.jpg We walked around in the middle innings. This was the 7th, I believe. Cubs have the best fans in baseball now, do they? http://photos-c.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38827130_7903.jpg Memorial Day at Miller Park. http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38827139_955.jpg Even Bruce Froemming has to give Rickie a pound. http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38827147_3656.jpg The kids on Braun's first day in the Show. He struck out 3 times, but who woulda thunk it that those two would combine for 85 homers when it was all said and done? http://photos-e.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v72/205/50/13956375/n13956375_38827084_7271.jpg Last but not least...Miller Park on the outside. Brewers lose 3-1, but as always, a fun time at the ol' ballpark.
  11. Gobias, is your sig from American Psycho? It sounds super familiar...or maybe I'm just crazy.
  12. That's game. 2-0! Are there any other MLB teams that have started each of the past 5 years 2-0?
  13. I can see Prince and his big frame, but why Rickie continually leads the league in HBP is also beyond me. He doesn't really crowd, and he is a threat on the basepaths...makes no sense.
  14. Lefty + Braun + wind blowing out to Left = I like.
  15. I used to like the Rays until they thought they were too good for the "Devil." Devil Rays was probably the strangest and best name in all of sports. Plus, I can't stand wimps like Baldelli. I'll go with the A's, Tribe, and Padres. Oh, the Rays too...still like 'em.
  16. I promised myself I wouldn't get fooled this year...even after this, it's so far so good. And Stevo, whoever sent that is just cruel!
  17. My favorite moment today was being able to turn to a Cubs fan in class behind me and tell me the final score of the game and here "Oh no..." for the rest of the period. This after he was forced to stare at my Sheets jersey all 2 1/2 hours of class. 1-0 feels good.
  18. I'm still looking for our first road sweep since 2004. This Thursday?
  19. Corey Hart. 7th Inning 3/31 Solo to left-center. Extends the Brewer lead to 4-1.
  20. Gotta love that UW education http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I hope you're right...my window for the Brewers is open until 4, then I have a 2 1/2 hour class.
  21. Skipping class to go home and watch. Just me, some EasyMac, and Brewers baseball. Ahhh...I can't stand this...it's like Christmas Eve!
  22. Oh well...just in time for Badger Hockey and Opening Day. Coincidence? I think not.
