  1. Alright, CC and Zambrano going tomorrow. Looks good on paper, I guess...Go Crew!
  2. All is forgiven... Alright, maybe not, but a hot stretch to end the week would be huge.
  3. If I were Lou Pinella, I would rig last week of the season to help get the Brewers into the playoffs because the Brewers are awesome.
  4. Well said, Stein, very funny! Your writing is right along the lines of the Brewers guys over at Bugs and Cranks.
  5. I'd like to see Hart get the day off. 2 consecutive days off the field could really help him, even if it means putting Slappy out in right for a game. Alright, Big Boy time, let's go!
  6. Booing for what? I think the Keg won't be much different than how it usually is... Player hits home run: Crowd Cheers Player forgets to cover 1st on a sac bunt in the 7th with a 1-run lead: Crowd Boos I do think fans will be more anxious than usual...Honestly, what fanbase wouldn't feel tense with a week to play and a 1 game difference in the standings...
  7. Wow, can anyone imagine what the Shea fans were doing after the Marquis salami? Wow. Our guys have a major opportunity now. Time to jump.
  8. Your rant was inspirational though, no doubt. Good work.
  9. I guess I'll continue to play along with this episode of Punk'd, sure.
  10. It's about time we get a break. Thanks DeRosa, and way to go Ray, Braun, Cameron, and JJ.
  11. Where did you find the lineup? Link
  12. Same 1-8 as yesterday. Sticking with Durham, Kendall. Go Brewers!
  13. Harden, Hamels, and Santana all going today...It'd be great to steal one.
  14. Nice "Two Cathedrals" reference, buckhunts. Great show. /threadjack
  15. Our home opener sucks. I love when visiting fans travel well...I do it all the time for the Badgers, Packers, Brewers, whatever...but baseball's Opening Day should be off limits. It's the one day where no matter how bad you may be, no one can tell you the season is going to be terrible, because it hasn't started yet. It's the most optimistic day of the year and a special moment to be shared between players and fans. Just my opinion. Our IL schedule is "meh." Not counting the Twins series' every year, 2009 will mark 3 out of 4 consecutive years where the AL central is our foe. I guess a visit to see the Crew in Cleveland or Detroit would be fun, but what about NY, Seattle, Oakland, etc one of these years? Based on this year's standings, our September schedule is rough: 9 vs. STL (!), 7 vs. CHC, 4 vs. Philly, and 3 vs. AZ Our longest road trips are two 9-gamers, one in April, one in August, both vs. some pretty good teams.
  16. Not the craziest idea in the world. 3rd highest team walk total (in one less month of play). Among starters, Cam also has an OBP lower than only Fielder (not a leadoff hitter), Hardy (not a leadoff hitter), and Weeks. Looking at OBP alone, take him over Hart (unlike Yost on Saturday).
  17. Looking past the "to boo or not to boo" issue, I think Corey Hart takes fans here for granted. It's been said many times, but its worth repeating...to draw 3 mil a season in the smallest market in baseball is outstanding, and the same fans he's criticizing voted him to the AS game over David Wright and Pat Burrell. Corey's still a fan favorite, even when he struggles, and he seems like a pretty laid back guy, so I guess I'm a little miffed as to why he's making these comments instead of Prince or Rickie or Hall or Gagne.
  18. It's probably just the poor play of the team and the (completely warranted) negative attitude of these boards, but I have a terrible feeling CC gets his first lost today. He's amazing, but I am imagining 5.2 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 4K, 3BB. Please don't suck, Brewers.
  19. 112 pages of pissed-off-edness. Wow. Last night when Lamb and Durham got those big hits my first thought was that they hadn't been with us long enough to be screwed up by the ways of this twisted franchise. We're in an amazing rut right now. Help, CC, help.
  20. A 4-1 6th inning deficit should not feel insurmountable.
