    If you can only get the Nationals feed, you're not missing much to be honest. I love Ueck, but he's really not in the game right now.

    weather.com predicts a high of 98 with a heat index well over 100 in DC today. Not to mention there won't be a cloud in the sky, and that RFK is a heat-trapping bowl. Endurance will be tested. So, even with his best stuff, Cappy would probably only be able to go 6 or 7, and that's if he's dominant. Luckily, Yost can treat this like a playoff game and empty the bullpen with the huge break coming up.

    I don't think that the wrist directly worsens Weeks' approach at the plate, but if it's a nagging little tweak that bugs him every time he swings, his AB's will naturally become less productive as he becomes more and more frustrated, hence, the hacking at balls in the dirt.

    Never more than today has the Brewers supposed dependence on the long ball mattered this much. 4 solo home runs in a 5-4 loss? That's really tough to think about. Also, Rickie Weeks. Watching him makes me sad...I hope it's just the wrist. He's one of my favorite players, and watching him lunge at the 0-2 and 1-2 pitches in the dirt is just devastating. A little part of me dies every time I think about him free falling towards the Mendoza Line.

    I'm sort of waiting for the inevitable giving up of 3-4 runs by Soup, and I would be very discouraged if two first inning solo homers would be all we could manage. Runners on the corners with 1 out for D. Young...Not good.

    I predict a 7-7 day from JJ with the Brewers winning 17-7 in a game called due to rain after 7 innings.

    Might be below the belt, but I'd just send him text messages that just say "Prior" or "Bartman" - something along those lines. Not below the belt at all. Cub fans make a big deal out of both of those situations, when other fan bases would've let it go. Feel free to rub it in their faces.

    On a non-Cubs vs. Nationals related note, weather.com has a 50% of storms for the game today, with heavier showers coming in the early evening. Accuweather.com on the other hand, has mostly cloudy skies for most of the afternoon/evening.

    Flashback to May 29th. Brewers vs. Braves. Brewers on a 6 game losing streak. In the 1st inning with Ben Sheets pitching, Willy Harris hits a 2 run homer...Sheets gives up 3 in the inning. At that very point, who wouldv'e believed that Big Ben is going to the All-Star game? Unreal... Congratulations to those guys. They all deserved it, and I'm especially stoked to see Prince blow away the likes of Pujols, Lee, and Garciaparra in the voting. 4 All Stars for the first time since 1983? Crazy...

    Hopefully one of those hard hit balls will find the gap or corner with runners on. It's bound to happen. Haha, gotta love it when Hardy and Jenkins both triple within 24 hours of each other...

    I was browsing through the video store a year or two ago when I came across it, read the back of the case, and was surprised I hadn't heard of it. I really like the movie...I've seen it a couple times, and it makes me happy to see Marco Scutaro having success in Oakland.

    Sluggish Start. Ick. Let's be patient and get to Marquis. Also, this series feels eerily like the Mets series...Weekend series, Thursday day off, 14 games over .500 coming in...Lose a close one on Friday, win a blowout on Saturday... We got killed by the Mets on Sunday, let's not do that again.

    I'm pretty sure that billboard changes every time a new team comes in. I saw Braves vs. Cubs there in '05 and then sign read "You can't Tomahawk great taste."

    Vasgergian and Grace were godawful today... Hearing Grace laugh for about 2 minutes about that intentional beer spilling by Cubs fans, and how it's all part of the "wonderful" Wrigley culture, was a perfect example of why I am so glad I am not a part of that wretched fanbase. It don't care if it was Old Style, seeing that beer go to waste and then seeing the announcers glorify it was upsetting. Anyway, we win. Ryan Braun is a stud. Annnnnd tomorrow...Let's win the series!

    However, I got something last semester from a Socialist activist named Elizabeth Wrigley-Field. Same here. I was confused, and thought there might be some major Socialism rally held at Wrigley, but nope, her last name was Wrigley-Field. Now, I can't wait until Craig hits a walkoff salami at Counsell Park
