  1. Is is the Chalet Bank? If so, I sold one for $45 some time back. I think there was one on ebay recently that sold for $50+. It was given out in 1999, I think.
  2. Wow, some of those are really nice. Well done. I really like the Morgan and Axford ones.
  3. Darn, I "volunteered" to work this weekend otherwise this might have worked. I can't use this, but hopefully someone can.
  4. The injection is to help stall the advancement of gum disease that is present. Its a slow release antibiotic that hopefully will help the targeted area. While I think that dentists may certainly upsell a bit, if you really do need the procedure, it's worth looking into. Dadofandrew, is a second opinion of out the question? While we all have good intentions with our advice here, if you have multiple teeth with 4-5mm pockets, I would error on the side of caution and take the word of a professional (or two) before it's to late. The 4-5 mm that they are talking about it attachment loss between your gums and your teeth. I don't think they inject the antibiotics into the gums. I believe it's injected into the pocket between the gums and the tooth. However, I'll give my standard, "I could be wrong, I'm not a professional"disclaimer.
  5. I just had the same procedure done in August. I think it cost close to $500.
  6. From what I understand, and as usual - I could be wrong - AP photos are usually purchased by someone with a media or image license. AP makes some photos available for sale to the general public, but most of the photos are licensed as editorial photos. I used to have multiple contacts who could get me full res photos for $2-3 a pop, but I've lost those contacts over the years. As a side note, I did have some problems printing the photos from AP & Getty. I bought tons of photos, used Walgreens to print them. When I showed up to pick up my order, the manager wouldn't let me take the photos because he said that were copyright protected and I didn't have a license for them. I tried to BS my way through the conversation, and he said that even if I had the license from AP, I would still need permissions from the photographer. Big hassle. I would up buying a nice printer and printing them myself.
  7. The phone sold. Let me know if anyone wants the stereo. Thanks!
  8. I have a few things that I've been meaning to put on ebay, but I thought I'd offer them up here first. I'm not looking to make a killing on any sale, just looking to move some perfectly good equipment. Samsung Blackjack II. ($20 / pick up in West Allis or Pewaukee. Add $4 for shipping) Here is a link to a review (the first one on Goggle, I didn't search for a favorable review) And a picture of the actual phone. It's dusty, but works fine. Pop in your sim card and go. This phone does NOT require a data plan (at least from AT&T) http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n515/weekendpaul/blackjack.jpg Pioneer DEH 2400f Car Stereo / Flip down screen with CD player.($25 / pick up in West Allis or Pewaukee. Add $10 for shipping) A link to a review (again, just took the first one on Goggle) And a picture of the actual unit. http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n515/weekendpaul/2400f.jpg Want both? $30. I do prefer paypal, but cash in person or by mail is just fine. Both are in working order but are sold as is. Let me know if you want either. Thanks.
  9. The more I think about it, I think it's Cooper. While cool, I don't think he is worthy of "super secret"status.
  10. I changed mine. "The Brewers’ came back from a seven-run deficit in the ninth inning with a game-winning home run on May 22, 2000. -AP"
  11. So upset by the defense.... I've changed my avatar in hopes of gaining some king of reverse karma.
  12. Sorry to hear this. I saw a piece on him some time ago, about dealing with the inevitable. Very sad.
  13. There are tons of times I look at the board for a quick glance to see who might have tickets before moving on to stub hub or Brewers.com. I assume others do this too. I'm not sure I'd take the time to post a want list and wait/hope for someone to reply. I think it's a fine idea, but if the problem is buyers and sellers not connecting, this might just rearrange the problem. My vote is :sellers post a price if you know what you want and :buyers - don't be afraid to make an offer.
  14. Per JSOnline. Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder will serve as catcher for the ceremonial first pitch prior to Game 2 of the National League Championship Series at Miller Park on Monday. Throwing the pitch will be Mike Kilar, father of Treyton Kilar, a devoted fan of both the Brewers and Fielder who was killed by a drunk driver one month shy of his seventh birthday last September. Mike and Mary Kilar, the Kilar family and the community are rallying to build the Treyton Kilar Field of Dreams in his memory. Brewers Community Foundation is making a $10,000 donation to the Whitewater Community Foundation to help the project. Fans can lend their support to this project by visiting Treysfield.org. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/131432038.html
  15. This is SCREAMING for the easy response. But I'm going to take the high road.... and let someone else say it... PLEASE speak your mind 20fry. I just expected someone to say, "I never noticed she even had a face".

  17. Not sure why the postseason should be different. The rule doesn't have a postseason clause in it. It says you can't sell above face. Period. If you want to scalp, there are plenty of places you can go do that. This isn't the place for it. If you have extra tickets and you want hard core fans to use them, put them up here, get your money back and be happy that the ticket's getting used. If you're looking for profit, use another medium. I thought this was cleared up in the other post. People can sell at what ever price they want as long as they do it in private - hence why people say, "PM an offer". You can't make a post stating, "2 tickets, $x00" but you can respond to an offer (in private) stating, "i'd let these go for $x00". To quote Hawing, "Once a transaction leaves the Trading Post forum, we can't tell you what to do with it." Yes, it would be nice to know a price going in, I agree. But I have no problem with the "make an offer" route. 5 minutes of research will give an idea of what ticket prices are like and you can form an offer pretty easily. Now, that being said, the great thing about this board is that we generally have a "help a fellow Brewer fan out" type attitude here and I rarely see any pure price gouging. I like the option to be able to buy tickets from someone here - even well above face - if I can avoid the $15 in fees I might get from stub hub.
  18. The Marlins are awesome. This is incredible.
  19. Done. Lets hope that guy has a big game.
  20. YES! Lets do this. I was amazed / annoyed on Sunday with the father & son sitting in front of me. The did not clap at all during the game. The kids waved his towel a couple of times but that was it. If it was not for the father yelling out, "throw a strike Zack!" every once in a while, I would have thought they were mute. Who comes to a playoff game and sits on their hands?? Lets blow the roof off of the place today!! Do not let up. All game, every pitch. Don't hold anything back today! Get loud!
  21. Are these hard tickets or email tickets? I'm looking for 2 more tickets for tomorrow and this might fit the bill.
  22. This is a great question. There are the milestones, of course. Ryans 300, Younts 3000, Easter Sunday, Sheets 18th (mothers day wasn't it? I know i took my mom...). Then there are the "special games". The 1st exhibition game at Miller Park to open the place up, the last game at county stadium, the play off games in 2008 and this year... But there is one game that stands out to me more then any of the others. My memories are fuzzy, but it had to be around 1993. August game against the A's. 2nd game of a long double header. The 2nd game was over 5 hours long. Sometime around midnight (it was getting late), something happened in between innings that got Tony Larussa out and talking to the ump. The pitcher was warmed up and ready to go but Larussa was still yapping in the umps ear and Phil Garner gets on the top step and starts screaming at Larussa. Within seconds the benches clear. All out melee. One of the "best" fights in baseball. Full on tackles (Dickie Thon, I'm looking at you), fully planted punches... it was wild. Players got tossed on both sides and the Brewers were short on players. Rickey Bones wound up in RF. Robin Yount moved to 1st with John Jaha moving to 2nd base and alternating with Kevin Seitzer at 3rd base depending on if there was a double play in order or not. Kevin Reimer moved from DH to the outfield (yes, the Brewers lost their DH). It was a crazy game. Brewers won and swept the DH.
  23. Patrick, that is amazing. Can you imagine, attending every game of the postseason (home and away) for under $100??
  24. I bought tickets on stub hub. I did the print at home option and my son wanted a ticket /stub to put on display in his room. This might seem like a lame idea to some, but I actually Photoshopped a reasonable facsimile of his ticket. It's not perfect, but he's got something to put on his self, alongside the folded up sheet of paper that was his actual ticket. http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n515/weekendpaul/TTIKK.jpg
