  1. Matt - Did you tell them about my Sabathia socks yet? I'm waiting!
  2. I'm still struggling with the thread title...
  3. My wife bought a Nintendo Switch for my son for his birthday, but before the big day, he told us that he wasn't interested in any video games for his birthday. We missed the 30 day return on electronics at Target and... well - here I am. Before I head to ebay, I thought I'd offer it here first. Not looking to make any profit, just looking to sell at cost which was $315. Can do local pickup in Brookfield Area or can ship for whatever the cost will be. If there is interest, let me know. If not, that's ok too. Either way - thanks in advance.
  4. I think they were "sweep suits". The crew got a little cocky after a sweep and baseball karma kicked them in the backsides.
  5. I'm a little late to the party on this one, but ... I kind of love this video (link below). It's just the random recordings of some family on Easer Sunday in 1987. But, at about the 2 and a half minute mark, you hear some people talking about the Brewer game (assuming the crew had lost). Later in the clip, you can hear the Brewers post game show in the background. The clip then becomes just a random family listening to the post game show learning how the game ended. Truly a unique look back at this particular day in Brewers history.
  6. Cool find.
  7. I have so many connections to this game and I remember this night so well (at least in comparison to other things that happened 23 years ago). Great share. Thank you!!
  8. http://i.imgur.com/olw4JKd.jpg I took this photo back in 2008 (I think?). It was a 9th inning monster homerun. One of my favorite Prince memories. We still lost the game, but my son was just a little guy at the time and he/we had so much fun that night. Now he's 19 and we both just brought this picture up. I'm glad Prince happened. I wish he'd get more time in the game.
  9. Sorry, didn't read through the post, but this popped in my inbox at work today and I thought I would pass it along. http://deals.kinja.com/students-can-stream-every-out-of-market-nfl-game-this-s-1784525920
  10. Good Karma on you Outlander. Nice.
  11. If you're mainly looking to defeat MLB.TV's blackout rules, I - I mean, my friend, used unlocator in the past with great results. That was 2014 - didn't need it last year. It was $5/month. You do it at a router level so anything connected to your internet goes through it. It was great when "he" had XBMC/Kodi in the living room, but also wanted to use his tablet or phone.
  12. Yes. I used a $5/month VPN to watch in market games (on top of my $paid for MLB.tv subscription).
  13. I am 99% sure it is two hours. I'm nearly positive.
  14. I got the Sheets one Matt. Awesome!! Thanks!
  15. I am looking to swap a working lawn mower for an old pc.Desktop or laptop, windows xp or later as long as it works. The lawnmower is basic and used, but functional. I have not used it since May, so it probably needs some maintenance before the winter. If there is any interest, let me know. Thanks.
  16. There is a difference. Braun was placed on the restricted list and the Brewers were able to replace him on the active list (25 man roster). Gomez and Maldonado will be placed on the suspended list and will count against the active list and can't be replaced.
  17. The headline reads, "Braun refused to answer PED Questions", but the article says none of the 10 players MLB has met with have answered any questions. This sounds less like a Ryan Braun thing and more like a strategy all the players involved are taking.
  18. I for one have been loving it. I thought most of the pool D games were pretty fun to watch, the USA/Mexico and USA/Canada games were pretty much must watch tv for me this past weekend.
  19. They made a mistake. The Ball and Glove hat is an alternative hat, not the full time road hat.
  20. I might have read the article in a different way. I felt Stark was making the case FOR Braun to win, but explaining why he won't, fair or not. More quotes from that same article: I have no opinion at all of Jason Stark one way or the other, but I didn't get any anti -Braun bias, at least in that article.
  21. I forgot to mention this a few weeks ago, but by pure chance, I was flipping through the channels one day and come credits were flashing on tv as I passed one channel to the next and the name "Clay Tweel" was listed. I quickly flipped back a channel, saw what was playing, went online and find that J. Clay Tweel is director, cinematographer, editor, jack of all trades type in the movie industry.
  22. That's really cool. Congrats and thanks for the insight!
  23. Yeah, I get that 5 is young, but it was worth a shot. I am just happy we found the stickers. We'll explore the cards again later.
  24. Some of the conversation about baseball cards (and the fact that kids don't collect for the sake of collecting) got me thinking. My 5 year old has zero interest in collecting cards. None. I tried to get him into the hobby, not so he could collect valuable cards, but because I remember how awesome it felt to pull a Brewer card from a random, off the shelf pack as a kid. It was a huge thrill for me. But, it also taught me the names of players and all the teams. I was fascinated with the logos and studying the pictures. Anyhow, my boy was not interested at all. If he didn't get a Brewer card, he didn't care at all. However, he is totally into the Topps MLB Sticker Book. He loves it. For me, it's fun watching him open packs of stickers and hoping for Brewer. He's also getting into all the teams and starting to know players names. It's a ton of fun. It's about as close as you can get to the "good old days" of collecting for the love of collecting. Not for profit, just for the thrill of completing your collection. The best part is - it's cheap! Packs of stickers are $1 at Target. Anyhow, I just thought I'd share. We have some duplicate stickers. If anyone wants them, let me know and I'll send them out to you.
