  1. PM me your email addy. I've can help.
  2. I purchased a full ticket from that game, signed by just Weeks and in a decent case for $35. Adjust the price down for a stub, but then adjust it up for signatures from both. It's not really an answer but it's something of a starting point.
  3. I'm looking to trade a road gray jersey (#31 Adrian Hernandez, 2004) for a game used home WHITE jersey. Any player with a number 1 - 59 as long as the jersey has proper tagging and is from the 2000 - 2010 season. I can provide pictures of the jersey and tagging. Also, if anyone has a game used Ceveceros jersey (home version, not the spring training version) of any player, let me know and I can up my trade offer. Thanks.
  4. I just voted. One time in three browsers. Hope it helps.
  5. I've read all the emails and PM's, I'm almost done replying to everyone. I updated the list above. Crossed out is either sold or pending sale. THANKS!
  6. Wow. I just got home and I am overwhelmed with emailed and PM's. I'll start getting back to people tonight. Thanks!
  7. The plates have subtle differences in them, like the position of the first name and the font size. I stared at them too for a long time before consulting some other photos to try to figure it out myself. Awesome haul. Ill be talking to you Matt to try to take some of these off of your hands.
  8. Some look like 2007. The rest look like 2008 regular season plates and a few 2009 spring training plates with the same design. I could be wrong though.

  10. How much for the Gamel? Or is that one not for sale?
  11. That's really what it came down to. I put the cars down the street and the kids in the car then went back.
  12. There was an officer telling me to get out of the house because the fire had started to creep to close. I tried to grab some stuff but I had this moment of realization that I was never going to be able to grab all of it. So I dropped what I had on the floor, grabbed my phone and a blanket and went outside to wait. In the grand scope of things, all I lost was a swing set in the backyard and a few hours of sleep. We'll need new siding on the house, but I can live with that.
  13. I had a major scare a few nights ago. There was a fire next door to me and it came much to close to my house for comfort. Beyond the collection, it's a scary thing to be a few feet away from losing everything. I think I might need to restart my search for additional insurance... My house is on the left. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/9ce35ba415649ab61b8c57df05f9ec3ad5b526c.jpg
  14. I said the same thing about the jersey. I took one look at it and then read his description and just shook my head. That jersey is a poor fake. Ifeel bad for him if he thinks it's real. I'm all for people making their money, but between his deceptive listings (including items in the photo that are not included) and his fairly boring selection, I just can't see this lot going for much.
  15. I was shopping today and came across this photo as an example of the letters being very close to the numbers, similar to the jersey in the auction. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/344150189e1c5002296656b1950d5d3dab760e8.jpg
  16. Let me just say I am NOT an expert in Hank Aaron jerseys. Buying old jerseys is always hard. Always do your homework - especially with Hank Aaron and most especially with any Aaron jersey produced by McAuliffe, like the one in the auction listed above. In 1976 the Brewers -at least officially- used two different manufactures for their jerseys, Wilson and Sand Knit. Both produced home jerseys and Sand Knit did "all" of the road jerseys. This is where it gets fun. There are several other companies - including McAuliffe - that claim to have provided Aaron with both home and road jerseys in 1976. No one really knows for sure, but many people look at McAuliffe Aaron jerseys as junk or garbage. However, to add to the confusion, Aaron himself has donated "game used" McAuliffe jerseys to museums that do not match the "official" jerseys the rest of the Brewers wore. A jersey on display at the Smithsonian is a perfect example. Specifically, regarding the jersey up for auction, it is missing the chain strip, which in 1976 I believe would have been on the lower left hand portion of the jersey. But, again, I'll point to the Aaron jersey on display at the Smithsonian (donated by Aaron as game used) that is also missing the strip tag. I've also seen other Brewers jerseys that are lacking strip tags (from Rollie Fingers to Joe Dillon, it happens) Also this jersey does have a blue border around the red "1976" which - I believe - would be consistent with a proper manufacturer's tag for a game used jersey, but don't quote me on that. And while the "S" in Brewers is very close to the "4", it's not all that uncommon to see variations like that in jerseys from that era. As for the font, the official font was called "sand knit brewers varsity" but I've seen jerseys with rock solid provenance that have differently cut numbers. And if McAuliffe really did provide Aaron with jerseys, they most likely would have used their closest variation on the varsity font which would account for the difference. While the jersey may be real, all of the questions surrounding it and the negative connotations from some in the collecting community will certainly drive many people away. There have been a few other examples of McAuliffe Brewers jerseys, but most of the time they are Aaron jerseys. Officially, McAuliffe never made on field gear for the Brewers. And until I can find even one photo of Aaron actually wearing a McAuliffe jersey, I'm also staying away.
  17. To clear up any confusion, tickets will be delivered by email and you can print them from your home printer. Tickets will NOT be mailed by the postal service. Thanks to all that asked. Edit below. I'll take best offer (cash, trade or cash and trade).
  18. Edit below: I can not go to opening day, so I have two seats for sale to Monday's game. I am heartbroken that I can't go but it's beyond my control. These are on the field level in section 118. Row 11 right behind home plate. These are PREMIUM seats. You will be sitting with the players wives and girlfriends. This is opening day, on the field level, behind home plate with the players wives. I had some interest in sale, but most people mentioned not having in the cash on hand, so I thought I'd open these up to trade as well. These really are great seats, so I'll accept any fair offer. Let me know! http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/7c035495103a9f7d1e7b54a3028a13252cb4694.jpg
  19. Wow. That's too bad. I was rooting for Ben but things do not look good right now. Hopefully he'll "get fixed" and continue on. Good luck Benny.
  20. Yeah, only the first episode will be available online, but the show is being fast tracked to DVD and BluRay. The series wraps in May on HBO and is slated for DVD release in June. Wow.
  21. Sorry Bikeage77, I was determined to win those shin guards. The $65 was far less than what I planned on spending. Jim, I think you might be on to the price. My max bid was in that neighborhood. As for the provenance, I can't say for sure but I know three things. Custom shin guards like that, from that era were almost never found on the retail level, the signatures were rock solid and the seller is also reputable (having purchased parts of his collection in the past).
  22. Card is sold. Thanks!
  23. I got a ton of itunes gift cards for Christmas & my birthday. I have redeemed almost all of them for Itunes credit but I found one more in my desk drawer on Friday. It's worth $15, looking for $10 via paypal. I can PM over the redemption code ASAP. Thanks! My email is weekendpaul at gmail.com.
