  2. This is where I have Counsell/Wilson bunt. I don't trust Yuni getting it down.
  3. KRod unavailable due to his legs still bothering him. Really? I thought it was just cramps and didn't he pitch after that game?Yeah he pitched the day after but JSonline said before today's game that he was still bothered and unavailable.
  4. I keep seeing posts disappear and reappear. And there's stupid Roenicke with his stupid squeeze.
  5. Why not walk him to set up a DP with the catcher at the plate? These are the things that Roenicke does (or doesn't do) that just boggle my mind. Because he brought the infield in, a normal out becomes a hit and the run scores anyway.
  6. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2008/news/story?id=3622564 Troy Percival was hurt so David Price was his replacement. So CC could get hurt and Green could replace him. Nice.Is it bad that the first thing I thought of when I read this was what's Jeff Gillooly up to?
  7. Nope, players have to be on the 25-man roster, the DL, the bereavement list, or the suspended list as of August 31. Not trying to be snarky, this is an honest question: How did David Price debut in September and pitch in the playoffs in 2008? http://www.baseball-refer...eda01.shtml?mobile=false http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2008/news/story?id=3622564 Troy Percival was hurt so David Price was his replacement.
  8. Players within the organization on August 31 can be on the playoff roster. It doesn't matter if they're in the minors on that date. A player acquired from another organization after August 31 is ineligible. Nope, players have to be on the 25-man roster, the DL, the bereavement list, or the suspended list as of August 31. The only time it doesn't matter is if someone gets injured in September, then anybody in the organization can replace that player as long as they play the same position (and that player would have to be added to the 40 man if they weren't already on it). edit: This is all from what I've read in articles but the most recent I've found so far was 2009 so not sure if anything has changed since. edit 2: It looks like the same position thing may have been scrapped and its just position player for position player and pitcher for pitcher.
  9. Players have to spend a minimum of I believe 10 days in the minors before they can be called back up, unless there is an injury.
  10. They really need to replace Telly. He's just awkward when he does interviews and he always stumbles over his words.
  11. Did you go to the game yesterday? There was a guy behind me who must've said "juju" 20 times.
  12. Wow, that's one of the best team defensive plays I've ever seen.
  13. His appearances have been sporadic all year so I doubt that has anything to do with it.
  14. I got a Gretzky Oilers and a Bobby Hull Blackhawks one as well. Both look fantastic. I've compared them to other "real" hockey jerseys I've got and they both feel the same material-wise and look even better.
  15. I see what your saying about the glossiness. The Molitor one looks more glossy in the picture than in reality but they still could be different materials. Regardless, I would never pay $250 for a jersey so I'm satisfied. And yes, that is from Big Trouble in Little China, the greatest movie ever.

The lettering and numbers do look a little smaller on mine with the Molitor one however. But for $20, I think they both look good.
  17. Are you aware of a manager switch taking place before then?! That's not the Roenicke way.Agreed. If they haven't called up either by now while Lopez and Wilson continue to get starts, I don't see them starting over the "veterans" once they are called up. They'll likely get the sporadic PH appearance every 4 games but that's it. I hope I'm wrong but for some reason the organization believes rookies will be terrible no matter who they are.
