  1. ... and he bullpen blows up again.
  2. Geoff Jenkins apparently didn't want this game to end yet http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif 2 run HR to pull to even.
  3. Well the Brewers went on contact again and get thrown out at home. Um, hello? There being aggressive and making things happen!
  4. The way I saw it on the replay, Cirillo fell on the bag while catching the ball. Cirillo sure didn't think so, since he took the time to tag 1B with his glove before throwing home.
  5. I would like a dp ball, please. (why am I watching this stuff???)
  6. That was a routine play. Way to try and get on sportcenter.
  7. Nix isn't a big fan of walking, is he?
  8. I know Sheets has had bad run support for years but.... 2nd worst in the majors since 2004?
  9. In keeping with James' "objective evidence" definition, I'd say it doesn't HAVE to be statistically based. What it certainly isn't is something like scouting, which is primarily uses subjective evidence to evaluate players. Moneyball spent most of time explaining how sabermetrics can be utilized, not what it actually is.
  10. I, and many callers, couldn't figure out why ladies can wear skirts all year, but guys can't wear shorts. The difference is obvious, IMO. Women wear skirts in cold weather for aesthetic reasons. Unless you have especially impressive calves, your motivation is comfort.
  11. Unless players really are that concerned about getting on Sportscenter. Hall has the tendency to make plays a bit more dramatic than necessary, sometimes.
  12. This is all Jenkin's fault. And Yost. And Sheets, for not being a winner.
  13. by those people? Words of hate, Kat!
  14. "Next year, Attanasio said, the team's payroll will increase to $60 million, which will allow the team to keep pace with smaller-market teams like the Minnesota Twins." Wow. I added $10 mil for no particular reason. Opps. I t will still be pretty easy for Melvin to resign anyone on the team, even if he can't dump Jenkin's/Clark's salary. Just don't resign Mench (I hope). What's funny about Mark A's comments: 1. The Twins had a payroll over $60 mil THIS year. 2. Mark doesn't know what "pace" the Twins will even set for 2007.
  15. I'm not going to waste my time watching the Brewers make little league mistake anymore today.
  16. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/rluzinski/winprob825.gif
  17. I thought Mark A. went out and said they have a $70 mil budget next year. Hopefully I didn't make that up.
  18. Cincy is off today but we can gain on st louis tonite against the mets. They play San Fran at 9:15 PM tonight.
  19. Jenkins has been hit 3 times in the last 2 days. How often does that happen?
  20. This potential third out is huge. Win Exp. Goes from 78% to 91%. High leverage situation, as they say. .606 OPS against lefties for Hawpe. EDIT: Having a nice lefty in the pen sure saved Yost there http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. Top of 7th, 1 out and the bases loaded, up by 2 Win Expectancy gives the Crew a 70% chance of winning still. EDIT: 2 out now, 78% chance for the Crew.
  22. Why carry 6 outfileders if 3 are going to rot on the bench. I gave up trying to understand long ago.
  23. Ohka is up over 100 pitches and is getting rocked. Can we get a new pitcher, please?
