  1. Sometimes, when it is late, and you are down by one run, in the ninth, with your two fastest runners on 2nd and 3rd, a single is just as good as a HR. Sometimes. O, so singles are better than HRs. I stand corrected. O wait, you used one example....
  2. The fact is, the Crew got `em on, but couldn't put it away. I'm pretty sure you just wait for the outcome of the game, and use a random cliche program to write your posts.
  3. Before the 0-10 their BATTING AVERAGE was .231, second to last in the NL. The only team worse was Montreal. OPS isn't the greatest stat when talking about being clutch. I see so with runners in scoring position, a walk is useless and a single is as good as a HR? Um, OK. I guess you can have you batting average then. I bet you think Bill Schroeder is wise too.
  4. I didn't understand the 18,000+ estimates for the game and I don't understand why people are suprised by the 13,000+ that actually showed up. While this years attendance has been better, attendance on Tuesdays stink, plain and simple.
  5. Well, on the bright side, atleast Wes Helms has his timing back. I mean, I know he went 0-2, but he SAID it would only take one game http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. So Counsell was able to score becuase of the error by Jones, yet it's still considered an earned run on Santana's line?
  7. I've said it before... they have to put the opponents AWAY for that third game of the series. I said it before and I'll say it again, exactly what special attributes does a team possess to be able to "put the other team away." It's just another game, COMPLETELY independant of the other games. You act like they don't have the heart or desire to sweep a team Come on now, we get to hear enough tired baseball cliches from Schroeder, we don't need them here as well.
  8. I can't get over the transformation of Dan Kolb. He went from a guy that could ONLY throw the heater, to a guy who induces groundballs better than any pitcher in the league. I knew you guys were concerned by the few K's he's had but I care not! He SHOULD be the guy they bring in with the bases loaded and one out, because every pitch is a double play ready to happen. Simply amazing.
  9. Considering how bad Helms was BEFORE the injury, and how it takes a player awhile to get back what they HAD before an injury, it's scary how bad Helms could be for the first 2-3 weeks. Although to be fair, that 5 hole has looked pretty bad for awhile http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. The Crew needs to get into the habit of finishing opponents off when they are on the ropes. Perhaps your not aware of this, but the Brewers are a baseball team, not a boxer.
  11. It's really hard to take Kinney seriously when he has a 6.7 ERA. BLEH Edit: There you go, now that the game is already lost, Adams is in to pitch the 9th!
  12. This is where we pretend we never gave up on Clark... NICE ONE CLARK, I NEVER GAVE UP ON YOU!!!!!! Edit: Only 1 out recorded his last AB by Jenks.... NICE!!
  13. Franklin batting for himself in the 6th? Edit: I criticize players all the time, but acting like a pitcher isn't trying to get outs? Just seems like a slightly unfair criticism. I'll be sure not make people explain themselves in the future.
  14. Um, he walked an American League pitcher? He didn't close the deal by getting the out. OOOoooo, he didn't finish him. I get it. Well, I'll send him an email to let him know he should close the deal by getting batters out. I'm sure it will help him alot. SIGH
  15. Oh, and Cappy, next time you get `em to an 0-2 count, FINISH THEM! I'm confused. By that comment do you mean to infer that Cap didn't WANT to finish him, or went about it the wrong way? What exactly did he do that made you think he wasn't trying to finish him?
  16. Intentional walk to Counsell to get to Cap? Make em' pay!
  17. Why is it that the Crew seems to be able to constantly put together a very good, cheap bullpen? We could trade away Kolb or Viz and STILL be OK. Something was definetely up with Gumby.
  18. These articles really need to ne placed more prominently on the front page...... I know, you're working on it http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  19. Our #1 farm system looks like crap so far, plain and simple.
  20. Keischnick is SO overated as a reliever. He has allowed 9 of 16 inherited baserunners to score. Last time I checked it was the job of a reliever NOT to let inherited baserunners to score. Don't get me wrong, he's alright in the bullopen, but I think Yost looks only at ERA and thinks Keisch has pitched great this year. I took a 4 hour nap top watch this!!!??
  21. I had been out of the country for work, so when the third inning ended I was dead tired and went to sleep. Well I woke up about 2 hours later and just HAD to look at the score. When I saw 0-0 in the 11th through my fuzzy eyes I thought I was dreaming. I watched until the 13th and HAD to turn it off. Of course I woke up 10 minutes later and HAD to turn it back on http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I stayed up for the end and I'm glad I did! Another late start tonight though. I couldn't POSSIBLY stay up for this one..... ; )
  22. Wow, game recap up at ESPN about 10 minutes after the game ends. I guess nothing else was going on http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif RECAP
