  1. This has walk-off home run written all over it...
  2. How far the mighty have fallen. Two years ago, this guy was one of the top prospects in the Bush administration, and now look at him! Playing shortstop for the Nationals... Is your team any good, Mr Gonzalez? I don't recall. Was there a time when your team was good, Mr. Gonzalez? My memory is unclear on that one. Did your organization ever condone playing for the Nationals? I don't recall.
  3. Shouse and Torres didn't get it done, either, but loading the bases with no out is unacceptable, and the other two were dependable. Mota deserves a spot in Nashville, right next to Turnbow.
  4. Who's going to throw at Prince's face one night to inspire him to go all caveman on the ball the next day? We're screwed!
  5. Those are very good points. There's always some schmuck who ranks very high in Cy Young voting because his team scored six runs per game when he started.
  6. There was some discussion of the Cubs' mauling of the San Francisco Geriatrics in the Brewers game thread, I think.
  7. If Bill Hall is working hard to regain his spot in the lineup, maybe he should stop...
  8. I call him DJ Qualls and it makes me feel better because he's mixing mad beats.
  9. This game, the one you're watching tonight, isn't over yet. We just got a run across without swinging the bat. I'm sorry that you're going to lose your bet, or bragging rights for your ASG standings prediction, or whatever, but don't call it over until it's over.
  10. There's a lot of baseball left. The Brewers played the Braves at home, where they are very good, and the Twins, also at home, and they've been very good everywhere lately. They lost some tough games against some good teams.
  11. What's his career high in K's? More importantly, what will it be after today?
  12. I'll take any out from Johnson right now. Keep a zero on the board.
  13. ACL surgery is typically a six-nine month recovery time, I believe. It's possible, but I'm not holding any hope. Maybe then, I'll be pleasantly surprised!
  14. Don't look now, but Bush's ERA just dropped below five. Hopefully it'll stay down there the rest of the season.
  15. Branyan hasn't had a home run in days. C'mon, big guy!
  16. Speaking of sac bunts (two nice ones by Bush, both preceding runs, btw), Seattle had two guys try to lay down sac bunts consecutively in the second. The first guy failed, but they still scored two runs. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  17. Has Brian Anderson mentioned it yet? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. If it weren't for the three runs and six hits given up, I would say that this kid is cruising...
  19. Somebody posted earlier about a Braves fan's scouting report. Has his fastball clocked higher on tv?
  20. Three errors already in the first - yeesh! It's nice to see the Brewers putting runs on the board early. Hopefully Bush can have a (rare) solid outing on the road. FYI - Gameday has Morton's fastball at 91-92. Far cry from the 96-97 some Braves fan is heralding http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif
  21. I don't think he has a snowball's chance in Hell. This award is decided by sportswriters, not intelligent people.
  22. Three ground balls, no less. One found a hole, but that's okay.
  23. Alright Rickie, this is a good time to get it going.
