  1. Alright, Gallardo. Time to do this. A series win is in your hands.
  2. That's a great win to cap off a nice series. Zack Greinke went seven strong to give the bullpen a little bit of a break.
  3. With the Brewers' needs (SS, possibly 3B, depth), they can get by trading away talent in the lower minors. They don't need to make a Sabathia-type deal.
  4. Well, the Cardinals lucked out two games against a terrible team at home, while the Brewers escaped three on the road against a very good team. I like our chances.
  5. "He will step on second and this ball game is over!" Nice job, Crew. That was an ugly walk, an unlucky base hit, and a lucky pop-up to make up for it, then Ax gets the job done when he finally starts locating his off-speed stuff. That's three wins in Florida, which is nice because the Brewers have a lot of trouble winning there.
  6. Cory Provus mentioned that infield fly was called late by... you guessed it, CB Bucknor. That guy is bad.
  7. Good call. Josh Wilson, you are less useless than Yunieklsejl;ks Betalkjdntkort, and today you count as useful in my book.
  8. I think the Brewers win it, now. That's a huge momentum swing. There's no way the Marlins should have not walked off there. In fact, if the Brewers did that in the bottom of the ninth, bf.net would be emitting flames through my monitor.
  9. RRR probably could have relied on his own damn eyes and the fact that he saw Votto hit a Loe pitch about six miles on opening day should have clued him in that this was a bad idea.
  10. I'm not optimistic. I fully expect their replacements to give them 15-30 days of All-Star caliber play before the starters return, better than ever. Yes, I believe that the Cardinals are magic.
  11. Kick 'em when they're down. I want to see the Brewers tattoo the Reds starter and get deep into the bullpen, to screw them up for days.
  12. Is this zone just absurdly tight for both pitchers tonight?
  13. I was thinking, "just hit it into the outfield." Well, the outfield at most parks is the seats at GABP, so Hart did exactly what I hoped.
  14. Sometimes you just need a little break to get the bats going. Come on, Brewers, don't get embarrassed by a 29-year-old AAAA journeyman.
  15. I complain a lot about Runnin' Ron, so I should acknowledge here that that worked to perfection. Of course, Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun do a lot to make managers look good.
  16. I like Hart in the two-spot rather than Morgan. RRR won't call for a sac bunt in the first inning this way.
  17. I read an article on SI (by either Joe Sheehan or Will Carroll) talking about this - it mentioned that he was blocking the plate all wrong, and that might be due to the fact that he's not a natural catcher - he was converted in college. A person's knee is terrible at taking impact - if he'd been on his feet, or crouched, he would not have had anywhere near the injury he did.
  18. I'm guessing three starts a week for Gomez, two for Morgan, one for Kotsay. It should be a straight platoon between Gomez and Morgan, with Kotsay exclusively a LH PH, and occasional relief (once per week) for Hart, who seems to benefit from a day off per week.
  19. And your point is? Somebody asked who the last Brewer catcher was to hit 10+. That's it. For the record, I liked Johnny Estrada, but I like Jonathan Lucroy a whole lot better. He's not allergic to walks.
  20. Good for the fans at the game who cheered him like that. I'll always have a soft spot for Todd Coffey.
  21. Johnny Estrada hit eleven home runs once.
  22. RRR has made some goofy remarks about batting Lucroy eighth lets him get the offense going or something. Hopefully the Brewers can keep this stretch going. Hernandez is not a very good pitcher, and I'd like to see him get knocked around tonight.
  23. Cain, Escobar, and Jeffress in the majors aren't worth Fielder.
