  1. You would think that after this, if you live remotely close to a body of water, you would seriously consider flood insurance! You never know how many 25, 100 or 250 year floods you're going to have, and it would have be something to consider
  2. Didn't realize that people were paying attention to what words I use. I guess I better be a bit more careful!
  3. Actually about 5 minutes. Or as soon as I decided I was no longer going to live in Wisconsin. I don't really have an accent to begin with, but haven't really picked up a Texas one yet. And I usually use y'all here and there.
  4. Sadly, it's not magic. It's a whole lot of water that has to go somewhere. I just watched a video of a house floating away. Just goes to remind us all what is important in life. It sure ain't stuff, because it can go away or be destroyed very quickly.
  5. Just amazing. I hope everyone out there is safe.
  6. That is so sad and unbelievable. I was reading about it and I'm thinking, there's no way, and I see the pictures and read more, and that is unbelievable. Stunning.
  7. That is the interesting part. I think it was more of being a partner in a trade with the Cubs and Orioles. Which could have been interesting. But I'd like Roberts, because he's much more consistent. That's the thing that frustrates me with Weeks. Defensively, he can make the spectacular play look easy, but then a simple throw to first he botches. Hitting, he shows flashes of being the hitter everyone expected him to be, but then he's up there flailing at pitches and looking bad.
  8. So Roberts may be a Brewer in the next week?
  9. When you factor in the hypotenuse of the trapezoid multiplied by 10, and subtract 29453, adding 4352657, and divided by 2, you get 356 feet of snow for 10 inches of rain.
  10. When Dillon stole 2nd, the picture had frozen on Braun. The audio worked fine, but all I saw was Braun.
  11. I went to the grocery store this afternoon and there was a guy blasting his thump-thump music while he's putting his groceries in the car.....you must really like your music to blast it while you're putting groceries in the car.
  12. Was not pinch hitting for Soup and then sending him back out for the 6th putting the players in the best position to win? Was having Hart bunt Braun and Fielder to 2nd and 3rd with no out with Hall and Hardy coming up putting the players in the best position to win? I agree with you that the problem is when the players don't do their job. They are paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to millions of dollars to play a game where consistently doing your job 30% of the time makes you great. But then why have a manager? To me, it's to put those players in the best position to do their job well.
  13. When it is all said and done, execution or lack of it is at the heart and center of what happens. But, the manager has to put the players in a position to succeed. If Cameron is in center, does he field the ball that Kapler botches? Probably. Could that have cost the Brewers the game? Again, because Torres executed his job and got outs, it doesn't matter. It just frustrates me that Ned makes these silly, illogical moves, and comes up with stupid explanations and I don't think he's putting his players in the best position to succeed all the time.
  14. So he didn't say anything of interest? Or of note?
  15. Cinnamon is not healthy. Chocolate Fudge is. Feed your kids only Chocolate Fudge and they'll look like supermodels. Really fat supermodels, but supermodels nonetheless.
  16. That is insane! I've been through some crazy Wisconsin storms in my day, but that looks like it has to be one of the higher 24 hour rain totals in a long time, if not ever.
  17. Hall might have popped out to the catcher with runners at 2nd and 3rd. Instead, he popped out to the catcher with runners on 1st and 2nd.
  18. I really want to know what Ned's answers to the questions about these moves are. Sadly, I can't watch it, because Directv turned off the feed.
  19. Well they won. They could have won by more, but they won. I just don't get Ned's logic.
  20. That's an overall BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO for what happened after Braun and Prince got on base. Hart, Hall, Hardy, Yost. You all get boos.
  21. Especially with 2 on and none out. You have an opportunity to really blow the game open. It was bad execution on Hart and Hall's parts, but still the idea is dumb, if you ask me.
  22. Ned asked his magic 8 ball if he should have Corey bunt and it said yes.
  23. Braun willed the ball under Quintanilla's glove
  24. It's a symptom of the greater problem. You have a past gold glove winner sitting on your bench, and you don't put him in in a close, 1 run game, where defense is at a premium? Overall, Ned's logic is nonlogical.
