  1. They really think that the Brewers would be that aggressive? Lara possibly in Low A? That would be awesome, but definitely far from the track record. I'd like to see them be a little more aggressive.
  2. I don't like hearing this. I know Josh has his demons. They will probably always be with him. It seemed like he was doing a good job and staying under control. No matter what it is, how long he's suspended for, I hope that he gets the help that he needs to get back on track and stay on track.
  3. My wife and I saw Jupiter Ascending because we had no kids with us and it looked sort of interesting. It wasn't. It was stupid. Don't waste your money.
  4. Harden is actually a much, much, much improved defender this year. He's actually been really, really good on both ends of the court. And I've never been a big Harden guy, so it takes a lot for me to say that. I wonder if Howard will even play the rest of the year. It's his knee and it sounds somewhat serious. I don't think the Rockets will go that far in the playoffs at all.
  5. Beverly isn't that good and needs to be replaced. Howard is hurt and who knows how long he'll be out. Chandler is Chandler. Not that great. Playing the game to sign Bosh is different than making it sound like they were up against the cap and had to get room. They took a calculated gamble lost that gamble, but made it work so far. I live in Houston so I hear about the Rockets all the time. My Spurs will catch them soon enough.
  6. Sort of. They traded Lin and Asik to free up space to go after Boshzilla. The Parsons thing was because he signed the offer sheet with the Mavs, and they chose not to match. In the end, that's been a great move. Parsons is what he is, and he fits in well with Dallas. Houston has been able to have the flexibility to sign Ariza (great defender, meh offensively) and pick up Brewer and Josh Smith in season. As for Sir Chuckles and his analytics thoughts.......turrible. Absolutely turrible.
  7. If it were a choice of Feliz or Pap, I'd pick Feliz in a heartbeat.
  8. That's about as good of a commercial as Budweiser saying that their beer tastes good. Yadi hitting an inside the park HR? Definitely a fantasy.
  9. Woohoo!!!! We're not last!!
  10. This is great for the Astros. Fowler was a good piece, but Dominguez was an absolute black hole at 3rd.
  11. The Packers and their lack of execution.
  12. Ruiz was OK in AA. They also have Colin Moran who they got in a trade last year. Foltynewicz throws big time gas, but control is an issue. I think a DH/LF/C is going to be where Gattis ends up, and I'm looking forward to heading out to Minute Maid this summer!
  13. Close. He and Escobar went to Oakland.
  14. YES!!! Soooooooo good!
  15. This was exactly my take on it. Probably a win-win scenario for HOU -- if they're in it, they made solid upgrades to their 'pen... if they're out of it, they can probably get more building blocks for the future. This is the case. Along with that, they're finally coming out of a two year period where pretty much no one in Houston could watch the games. It was a big fiasco, then drawn out in court. Now, there is a Root Sports channel for Houston, and it's pretty much available on every provider. So, I think they're trying to get butts in the seats. As I said before, a 3rd baseman will most definitely help! But improving the gas can that was the bullpen isn't a bad place to start, no doubt!
  16. Who do you think would be the replacement? I'm wondering if that would be something Bevell would be interested in.
  17. I'm glad to see the Astros spending money. Now to upgrade 3rd base, and I might actually enjoy going to games this summer!
  18. I wonder what it would take to get Profar from the Rangers. On MLB Trade Rumors, apparently there have been inquiries on Profar. That might take a bit, but could be worth it.
  19. Don't forget that TLR has magical powers. Some say it's PEDS, some say magic, some say it's Budweiser. But whatever it is, I wouldn't be surprised if the D Backs compete for the playoffs this year.
